As the lead character ‘Bhoomi’ on & TV’s Bhaghyalakshmi, Simran Pareenja is having a great time learning from the stalwarts of the industry. The pretty girl, who debuts on the small screen with this show, had always dreamt of seeing herself on the small screen since childhood. She had a quick chat with us about her show, life and a lot more…read on:
“I was part of Tu Mera Hero, where Sumeet Mittal noticed me and chose me for his show on & TV. Though I wasn’t finalised for that, Rashmi Sharma selected me and with the channel already liking my auditions, I was all set play Bhoomi on the show. Today, I feel blessed to have got the opportunity to play a lead role so early in my career,” she said.
Talking about the team, Simran said, “I was a little apprehensive initially. Since there were so many experienced actors, I wouldn’t be given the required importance. But when I started shooting and saw the script, I was overwhelmed. The character is beautifully sketched. Also, the amount of love that my co-stars shower on me is immense. Aruna ji (Irani) is like a kid and the most energetic one on the sets! I simply enjoy her presence and get to learn so much.”
The girl is seen in yellow dresses throughout the show, sharing the secret behind it, the actress quipped, “Yes, the production team decided that owing to some astrological reasons. I am fine with it as it is a bright colour and works well for me!”
When asked if she was worried about being launched on a new channel, Simran said, “Yes, I was definitely. But the production house and the channel are doing well and our numbers are also rising. And thanks to the media, like you guys, we have an opportunity to reach out to our viewers.”
And lastly, when we asked how much she relates to her character, the newbie said, “Bhoomi is a simple and calm girl, while I am a very bubbly person in real life. My director has to tell me to actually control my vivaciousness and behave like my screen avatar. Also, Bhoomi is not at all romantic, and I am a staunch follower of romance!”
