Had Junoon been on any other channel, it would have got better numbers: Aditya Redij
Aditya Redij is quite happy and satisfied with the way his character is framing up in Life OK’s Junoon – Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq.
“If people call me Prithvi bhaiya, it shows that they like what I am doing,” he asks.
Aditya who first came in to prominence with Na Aana Is Des Laado as Raghav, adds, “At first, it was quite tough to play this rustic aggressive character in Junoon for he is so unlike me. My entire family and friends, who know me personally, say ‘dude’ you have done a great job of being with someone whom you are not. Another thing I would like to add here is that it is very tough to do all those action scenes in a dhoti, it is not easy to do them even in trousers, so you can understand what I have had to go through.”
“I have lost count of number of times I have fallen down or injured myself. But at the end of the day when your work is appreciated, it is worth the effort. This has ensured that I have successfully come out of the Laado zone. Besides the above super hit Colors’ show, I had done Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto as well,” Aditya recounts.
Remind him that numbers of Junoon are not so great and Aditya avers, “I really don’t pay much attention to TRPs; my job is to portray my character to the best of my ability and that is what I concentrate on. Having answered in the positive, I do agree that had this Beyond Dreams production been on any other channel, it would have grabbed more numbers.”
Looking ahead, Aditya would like to do an-out-and-out romantic show. “Even my current show is a love story, but I would like to serenade my on-screen love interest in a suit with all the trappings as well.”
