Giaa Maanek to celebrate an eco-friendly Holi by using flowers

While the entire television industry is all set to celebrate Holi on 27 March 2013 with colours and water, there is someone who plans to celebrate the festival in a unique style.

And this someone is none other than the Jeannie Aur Juju star Giaa Maanek.

When asked about how different her Holi celebration would be from the way the others would, prompt came her reply, “I will be just using flowers this Holi. There will be no water or colors. This is my way of celebrating eco friendly Holi. I do not want to use water because right now the situation is such that we have been hearing that a lot of farmers have been committing suicide due to scarcity of water in our state.”

So where will the actress be playing Holi? “I would be working on Holi. This is my first working Holi ever and we will use flowers on our sets. So the celebration will be on the sets.”

In fact, the actress has also used flowers in her Holi act for the SAB TV Holi special event.

Now that’s definitely an inspiring act!
