The Cursed Haveli

A mother rushes inside a room with her daughter and quickly packs her bag and the small girl says my friend will be angry and she wants to meet you. The mother grabs the daughter’s hands and says enough with your friends and lets go. The girl says mama stops, we can’t leave because i need to play with my friend. The girl turns and points where 4 childrens are shown approaching them and the girl hugs her mother in fear and the group of girl manage to pull the daughter into their circle as the mother shouts ‘Shashi’. This is about the Rawat family where the mother (Gayartri) and the daughter (Shashi) goes and meets Gayartri’s husband’s grandather/uncle in a mental asylum together and introduces his wife and daughter back in 1980. The grandfather keeps looking at Shashi and Shashi is scared. As Gayatri and Shashi are travelling in a car, their car suddenly stops and Gayartri asks why did you stop and he says he missed the way to the haveli. Why Gayarti is sleeping in the Haveli, she gets a dream and she sees a book in front of her that has written ‘Find me mama’ and Gayatri goes to look for her while a shadow is shown. Gayartri goes to Shashi’s room and finds her sleeping and sees a knife next to her and takes it away. Gayatri slowly falls asleep and a girl/figure is shown standing near them where Shashi opens her eyes and sees a toy. Shahsi goes after the toy as the toy keeps moving on its own. The toy approaches a door and Shashi hears someone knocking the door from inside. Gayatri wakes up and realize that Shashi is missing and goes looking for her. The door for that room opens and the toy enters inside the room and Shashi enters the room. The door suddenly closes and Shashi starts hearing some sounds.

Shashi turns and sees a girl figure and the figure starts approaching Shashi and Shashi is shown running out of the room while Gayatri is still looking for her. Shashi says mama, do you know who i meet and Gayatri says not now and lets go to your room. The next day, Shahsi says its my new friend and Gayarti says where is she staying and Shashi says she is staying here with us and Gayartri says we are here alone. Shahsi sees the girl figure in front of her and says we are not alone while Gayatri don’t listen and Gayatri sees Shashi giving signal to that figure to leave. Gayarti is from Amerika and she is a modern lady where she don’t believe in Shashi’s imaginary friends. Gayarti asks a vegetable seller that does any child comes to the Haveli to play and the guy says no one has came to the haveli for the past 3 years. Why did you come? Gayartri asks is there any phone nearby here and the guy says yes, it is a house nearby here. In the night, Gayartrti enters the same room that Shashi enters and see a few clothes in that room with some old photos while Shashi is playing and talking to the figure which Gayatri sees Shashi playing and talking alone. Gayatri comes and brings Shashi inside. Gayartri is watching some of the old photos and videos at the house and a small girl is shown and Gayartri is shocked to see the girl having same face as Shashi and a man is shown coming with a knife towards the girl and the video stops. While walking pass a room, Gayatri sees a girl figure inside a room and thinks its Shashi and sees Shashi walking in front of her. When Gayatri looks back into the room, the girl is missing and Gayatri brings Shashi inside a room and asks what are all this drawing and who is your friend? Shashi says I don’t think that she is my friend but she is my sister because she looks just like me and Gayartri scolds her sayings its only her imagination. Shashi says mama, i think she is angry and suddenly there is a strong wind and all the things starts falling and breaking. Gayartri says oh god, looks like we have made a mistake by coming here and Shashi says don’t worry mama, she only wants to speak and play with you. Gayartri’s husband is shown getting into a car and the car could not start and he goes to a nearby guest house while Gayartri is shown running to her room and packing her bags (same scene as the starting). Shashi is pull towards them and they go missing while Gayatri is scared and started looking around and she hears Shashi’s voice shouting Mama. Gayatri then gets a vision of Shashi falling into a well an old lady is shown and Gayatri says where has my daughter gone. The old lady says i have not done anything and she says any child that comes here will face this. Gayarti says who killed the small girl and the lady says that the big thakur as she used to work in this house and this haveli was closed all these years. Gayatri says i didn’t even know all this have happened here before and the lady says leave from here. Gayatri says i will not leave here without my daughter. The old lady says i know how you feel and Gayarti says that means its the same girl Shashi was telling me.

Gayatri says please help me to get back my child while Gayatri’s husband is shown stopping a car to go to the haveli. The old lady and Gayatri are performing some prayers and the old lady gets a trance and Gayatri asks where is my daughter and the lady says she is in this house but she is not alone. Gayatri asks how is my child and the lady opens her eyes and says leave from here and she suddenly gets fits and Gayatri asks what happened to you? Gayatri’s husband arrives and says what is all this? Gayatri says we are looking for Shashi and Gayatri’s husband asks the old lady to leave from here. Gayartri says our Shashi is missing and you have chased this lady away. The husband says don’t worry and nothing will happen to our daughter and Gayatri explains to her husband what happened. A paper suddenly fly in front of them which is a sketch of the well with a girl next to the haveli. The husband says i know certain things about this Haveli where i have an elder sister and she used to do such drawings too but she is no longer now. She used to say a few things about this haveli but i have never seen it. Gayatri says there is more paintings and perhaps we could get more clues and they suddenly hear sound of a few girls laughing and enters the room and sees the drawings. They tale all the drawings and approach a room. They slowly using the clue the have and finally reaches a well where they hear Shasi’s voice shouting and Gayatri’s husband manage to bring her out of the well. Shashi’s father is shown doing some prayers near a river and the husband goes back to the mental asylum and says i’m ashamed to call you my grandfather. How could you done that by killing that child? That child is revealed to be gayatri’s husband’s sister who was killed by the grandfather only because she was a girl and Gayatri says a lady is the one who gave birth to you and her husband says you are in this state today only because of what you have done and they both leave with Shashi while the soul of the girl is shown next to the grandfather. And the real Shashi and Gayatri is shown.
