Farida Dadi replaces Meenakshi Sethi in Zee TV’s Aankh Micholi

Elegant actress Meenakshi Sethi plays Nani to Sangeeta Ghosh in Sony Entertainment Television’s recently launched show Kehta Hai Dil.. Jee Le Zara. The actress had also been finalized to play a pivotal character in Zee TV’s upcoming project, Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi. This new show produced by Zee TV’s in-house production Esselvision, will launch on 9 September 2013.

The recent development is that Meenakshi Sethi is replaced by veteran actress Farida Dadi. Farida Dadi has played challenging roles in serials like Uttaran, Rakhi, Saath Phere to name a few.

When contacted, Meenakshi confirmed the last minute development and said, “Yes, it is true that I am not a part of Aankh Micholi anymore. I shot for the promo and all was finalized. As you know, my other show Jee Le Zara on Sony is new and I have a very good role to play there. And when I got to know that Aankh Micholi is to launch on 9 September, I preferred to move out of the upcoming show. I shoot for nearly 20 days for Jee Le Zara, and it would have been a problem managing dates if I had taken up another new show. I am very sad and disappointed that I am not part of Aankh Micholi. Even there, the family comprises of 4 people, the two kids, the Dadi which was to be played by me, and Gautami Kapoor. I had many scenes with kids, as they are with me throughout the day. It is unfortunate that I could not manage dates.”

We tried calling Farida Dadi, but she was not reachable.

Well, Meenakshi’s loss is Farida Dadi’s gain, as the show has to go on!!!
