Every actor would love to do a film as it gives one recognition: Akshay Anand
Veteran actor Akshay Anand, who is currently seen in Channel V’s Suvreen Guggal – Topper of The Year (4 Lions Films and Fable Tree Pictures) celebrated his birthday on 30 January 2013.
We decided to call him to wish him and know how he celebrated his birthday. “My birthday was full of surprises and gifts. At 12 clock my friends came over with cake and flowers and then we had cake cutting celebrations. Next day I had lunch at my place with my sister and other family members. In the evening I watched a movie with friends and then went out for dinner.”
“As I am the youngest in my family I got many gifts from family and friends. I got Iphone 4s, a pair of shoes, jeans and shades,” said the actor.
About his TV and big screen commitments, Akshay stated,” Yes, I am enjoying playing Baldev’s role in Suvreen Guggal. I am also doing films at the same time; my last film was Student of the Year. Every actor would like to do a film as it gives one recognition.”
When asked about his take on current television shows, the man averred, “Fifty percent of the shows aired manage to educate masses and the rest do not, but people like to watch the latter kind of masala shows.”
On what keeps him away from reality shows, he explained, “I am a very private person and I cannot manipulate. I don’t mind doing shows like Fear Factor.”
Looking ahead, the talented actor talked of his long-term ambitions, “I see myself directing and producing films after five years.”
Akshay, we wish you all the very best.
