Talented Krushna Abhishek is in talks with us about his show Killer Karaoke, journey on television and much more…
Talented actor-host-comedian Krushna Abhishek, has gained lot of appreciation for the kind of work he does. He is currently seen hosting the singing entertainment show Killer Karaoke on & TV.
In conversation with us, Krushna talks about his journey on television and much more.
Killer Karaoke is an International adapted show, Krushna talks about this as to how challenging it is to bring it in front of the Indian audience as he says, “Yes, it is an adaption of international series which had several versions all across the world. The best thing is wherever the show was seen, it got great response. So it’s a successful series but yes it is not that easy for the Indian audience to accept a new show so easily. The show has a unique and interesting concept and I don’t think something like this have ever came across in front of our audiences. People have seen Comedy shows like Comedy Circus and Comedy Nights, even they have seen singing reality shows on TV but this show is a mixture of both genres and has anadditional entertainment content in it.
More bifurcating about his show to be different from singing and comedy shows, he added “Comedy shows keep entertained for an hour which is not possible for any singing reality show to do. They are more emphasized on singing than entertainment. But my show is a mad entertainment where viewers get to see people sing and along with it they get to enjoy the laughter ride.”
Being a sole entity on the show, Krushna faces lot of challenges to maintain the level of the show; he says, “When you are alone, it is very difficult as you have to handle everything by yourself. You become the identity of the show and resemble it in front of the large audience so the number of challenges increases.”
Krushna is very happy for hosting a different genre; he adds, “I am glad to host such an amazing show, the contestants are confident as they don’t know what will happen with them nor they are aware about the tasks. Also, there are different celebs coming in the show and most of them are my friends so playing with them is more comfortable and viewers love to watch their favorite celebs doing such tasks which is not possible for them to see elsewhere.”
This funny man is however, juggling the shoot for the show and a film in his kitty as he says, “It is really difficult at times to manage shoots. As along with two shows on television, I am doing a film of Ekta Kapoor, which is the third sequel of hit film Kya Super Kool Hai Hum starring Tusshar Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani. I am playing a porn film maker in the movie and I always wanted to do Ekta’s film and being a part of this successful series is a great thing for me.”
Lastly Krushna ends the conversation by sharing his wonderful journey of television, he says “I have started my journey on television with Nach Baliye in 2007; I am basically a dancer and never knew that I can do comedy. But gradually after getting the tag of entertainer it feels great, as entertaining people is the most difficult job and it is taken more seriously now in today’s date. Like if someone asks to name any 10 people on TV that entertains, hardly 4-5 names will come out. So getting into such space is an achievement for me and I am glad with the wonderful journey of mine on television.”
Indeed you are doing a great job Krushna!
