Ek Mutthi Aasman 30th May 2014 Written Episode

Scene 1
Kalpi leaves. She says sorry God I am breaking my promise but I ahs to do this. Its Nettu who has done this. She is looking at them. Pakiya and his friend turns the switch on.
Nettu says Kalpi must have ran. She must have gone to meet Ragahv. Its more important for me than for her. He will release myu daughter and we will get back whats ours.
She goes and dances with manda and other people.

Scene 2
Kalpi reaches the temple. She can’t find Ragahv. She says am I late. Has he done something wrong ? What should I do now. Its 10:30 already.
Kamla looks everywhere for Kalpi. SHe can’t find her. Kamla wonders where can she be.
Kalpi says you betrayed me Ragahv. You even didn’t come. I broke my mom’s promise to save you but you are not even here. she is about to go but stops again.

Scene 3
Vitthal says please clap for manda she dances so well. A lady asks Pakiya where is kalpi. Manda says she was here. Madna says ask Kamla tai. Another says kamla is not her to. Pakiya goes upstiars to look for kalpi and kamla he can’ find them.

Scene 4
Kalpi is crying. Ragahv is sitting behine the wall. He is listening everything. Kalpi says where are you Raghav please don’t betray me this time. The song ‘Ya rabba’ play in the back ground.
Kalpi is crying so hard. Ragahv stands up and comes in front of her.
Kalpi is shocked. He comes closer to Kalpi. Kalpi hugs him. He holds her tight. Kalpi recalls him in the wedding dress with Pakhi. She goes away.

Vitthal asks Pakiya did he find Kamla and kalpi ? He looks at Nettu she is so amused ? Nettu says why are you satrring at me ? I don’t now where kamla is Pakiay says ai and kalpi both are not at home. Vitthal asks where can they be ? How will we answer. Nettu says why they left from the party. That doesnot happen in our society.
Vitthal sys this is your society now.

Ragahv says don’t turn your back against me kalpi. I feel like everything is taken from me. Kalpi says its too late Ragahv you have taken your decision long ago. Ragahv says i was helpless. And today i have to take another decision in the same condition. I wanna divorce pakhi but i can’t do that. Kalpi says why have you called me here then ? Ragahv says i wanted to divorce her yesterday but mom wants her revenge. She said she will kill herself if i divorce her. I have got her after so long. How will i call myself her son if i don’t keep her happy. I can’t see her dying. Neither can i see our relationship dying in the fire of revenge Forgive me kalpi.
Raghav says I am helpless please forgive me Kalpi.

Kalpo throws his hand away. She is so shocked. KAlpi says i am helpless too Ragahv. You broke dreams of my family. What is my fault. What was my parents’ fault. The day I said i love you i considered you my husband by my heart. Ragahv says when I held your hand i promised myself that i will never leave it. Wedding is just a ritual i consider you my wife too since so long. Only one year wait for me kalpi. I will divorce pakhi and we will be together. Nothing will come between us. Kalpi says one year ? What do you think of me ? Why should I wait for you? I don’t trust your words. You want me wait for this nameless relationship. Then you will say that it will take 5 more years. Why should i trust you. WHy should i hurt the people who have always been with. Raghav says because i love you and you love me.

Ragahv says look I will show you how much i love you. He goes and takes the red powder. Kalpi is shocked and is in tears. He holds his fist. Ragahv comes closer to her. Kalpi is looking in to his eyes. Ragahv puts the entire color in his fist to Kalpi’s head. Kalpana is dazed.

Precap-Kamla is at the temple and says this is my mistake. SHe slaps her self and says when kids do something wrong its all the mistake of parents. What you did kalpi.

Hi everyone, hope you’re have a great weekend. I have enjoyed reading your views, they are very interesting.
I can’t comment on the importance of Indian wedding rituals as I dont know them. I don’t know if that was sindoor Raghav threw on Kalpi’s hair or if it was the powder priests use to bless the devotees at the temple or even if they are one and the same. So whatever I say about that will not be an informed point of view. To me it looked like he was making a promise to kalpi and was being very passionate about it, but I would be wrong. I,ll wait for tomorrow to find out.

My views are more about trying to understand Raghav and what drives him. For me, the character of Raghav is the most interesting at this time as he is complex, driven and troubled. I watch his character and I think of all the people in our everyday life that find themselves in situations that require them to make such life altering choices, choices that can direct their future, their relationships and their marriages. Society expects man to be strong, courageous, daring etc. Its not manly or macho to cry, he has to be brave, he has to be emotionally strong etc.
Man is human too, he has emotions too, he can feel intense love, sadness, sympathy. When men are close to their moms its said they are tied to their mothers apron strings, if they show favour towards their wives then its said that they are under their wives rule.I’m not saying that they are beyond criticism or are innocent babes, but I do believe that we expect too much sometimes. Women can be very selfish divas at times, some make huge demands and have high expectations. I observe these things, I see relationships falter or fail and I wish that there was a bit more understanding and tolerance. It is sometimes said that men are emotionally challenged beings and I wonder how we deduce that, is it because we demand and expect too much or is he really that insensitive.

Take the case of raghav here, he wants to please both women he loves. Each wants a different thing and he can only do one at a time. He has to honour his mother (it is scriptually required), he has to please the love of his life but she wants him to do what the mother insisted he doesn’t do. Sure, he’s a grown man and should be able to make up his own mind, (be a man raghav and make your choice, assert yourself, don’t be a coward, leave your mother she’s insane, send her to a nuthouse, etc) all of a sudden we become judge, jury and executioner. We declare the man selfish or spineless for wanting to please both women and expect any understanding from them. Why should women understand after all man was supposed to be superstrong in so many ways.

I hope that the “sindoor” act is fully explained in tomorrows episode and not dragged out for the whole week. I also hope that it wasn’t a form of marriage as that would be really bad, and the creatives put the character in a very bad situation. He’s like a ragdoll being pulled apart by two little girls, both wanting to have the whole doll.

Not that raghav looks like a ragdoll. Lol :). Bye.

  I was so torn Kris 😥 , I wanted Sunil Narine to take wickets , but not Manan Vohra’s wicket .
  I was content to have either side win because it was outstanding cricket from both sides .
  It was so funny to watch Narine bat 😀 , somehow he survived and made 2 runs , while everyone looked scared and waited with abated breath to see his every reaction to the bowler . .. It was intense .
  No serial can ever compare to cricket of football or even tennis for me 😀 . ..

  Hi I read them. Will ponder on it for a while before writing in depth, although I know where you are coming from 🙂
  
  But for a quick note on it:
  Morally is he is wrong. But if this is a story, liken to films where the good guys get to kill the bad guys, and somehow the law doesn’t come in, then he could be seen (in purely a fictitious sense) as having done well in dishing out revenge. And there are so many films where the good guys sort of took the law into their own hands. And were still hailed as good people and as heroes. Many serials/shows/films, mix fiction and realism. And EMA has done this. So it is like they create this world in the film/serial where you can somehow dish out revenge yourself and still get any surviving criminals to go to jail, although you killed a few of them yourself, rather then let them go to jail.
  
  Like I said, I can consider this from a totally moral standpoint and on how the real world operates, or I can consider this from the world of film-making, where they get that luxury of creating their own world with their own rules and laws and what is permitted in that world and what is not. I think EMA has created their own world as many film-makers have done. So the revenge is set in it and is acceptable. And given the fiction taking place in this world, Kalpi would not been seen as complicit but as the love interest of the hero dishing out revenge.

  That’s a good way to look at it . My point of contention is that I don’t like seeing the juxtaposition of God and what can be seen as immoral in any way .
  
  In most cases where the hero goes out to seek revenge for whatever reason , he denounces God , he sets out on a one man mission to face whatever he has to face . Again I can site Batman 🙂 . Or , I was thinking even Hamlet , because that guy was really tormented about what course of action he should adopt 😀 ” To be or not to be , that is the question , to sleep perchance to dream , Aye , there’s the rub , for in that sleep , what dreams may come ” .

  One other thing Paige , if we accept that this is a work of fiction and that the characters aren’t compelled by any rule to behave as they would in reality , then we need to accept Kamla for being what she is . We can never denounce her actions as being outrageous , because by your theory , outrageous is to be expected from this type fiction 😀 . ..
  It opens a tiny Pandora’s box of questions , that maybe , are too deep for EMA 😀 . .
  Generally serials mimic life , some go off on a tangent and lose their way .
  This show , that has previously held high moral standards , is now adopting a very ambiguous stance .

  But one thing is sure: whether in real life or fiction, a character like that gets under everyone’s skin. So at least there is one thing in common between the real world and the make-believe world. lol
  
  The thing about films is there is never really anything 100% real. You are right, unless the mandate is given by God to seek revenge, then revenge belongs to God and doing so is to go against God. A man can’t worship God and play God at the same time. But with so many things, situations, circumstances and characters contradicting themselves, it is best to let the film-makers carry out their story in the world they created. And we try our best to get the most out of it and enjoy it. 🙂
  
  ps: that is why I support Raghav 100% in seeking revenge in EMA. I DO want him to take revenge. And I so much want there to be fighting scenes. I want Raghav to beat up all the bad guys really badly! I want to see my hero in action defeating all the bad guys. But if Raghav was a real person in real life, I would not encourage him to seek that revenge, especially in such a way. I will admonish him to adhere to this: “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.”

  I can’t respect character who has recognized everything that is wrong with a plan , in terms of collateral damage , and yet he proceeds on that course nonetheless .
  No one is fighting with him . He has created his own battle ground .

I had a chance today to look back at 30 May episode of Raghav and Kalpi meeting up again. I was really focused on it. Am so broken-hearted over this episode. It is so sad. So emotional. I could just see such conflicts raging within these two and so great love for each other. I feel it for them. I feel it for Raghav especially. Curse these writers for putting me in this darn distress!!!! These serials can really bring out one’s emotions.

I just hate to see such brokenness and sadness and then such great and pure love in all of it. Why do they put so many obstacles in people’s way? Don’t these writers have a heart of compassion? Oh, please let these two people be with each other forever!!!

I kind of feel my story playing out there so I want to see them together. It’s amazing how these things can touch your soul when you look at them. And that song “Dua” haunts me whenever I hear it.
This was a really sad episode. How can people live in such sadness? But seriously, this episode really touches my heart and breaks it!

  It hurts like hell to love someone and not be with them .
  Eventually they’ll get together , I have a good feeling about it .
  Ashish isn’t likely to leave the show because he’s already had his shot at Bollywood and seems settled and Rachana also seems settled . One of the biggest problems that the PH usually faces is when stars leave the show .
  We will have to face the usual rigamarole , but this couple should unite at some point .
  The show is doing pretty well in the TRP’s , it’s at number 12 .

  I love lots of other genres of stories. I am very open-minded about all things of stories: action, thriller, mystery, romance etc. But when it comes to romance: I want happy endings. And when it comes to revenge: I want all the bad guys either put away for good or killed. 🙂

Hey Kris . Thank you for your research on sindoor. I guess now I can have some more respect for it. Never liked it before. Never understood why married women wore it.
I still think it represents a covenant between two people and the red powder is used instead of blood as was done in earlier centuries .
Happy sunday and I guess everyone is rooting for the kings to win. They have no west Indians on their team so I am with KKR.

Hi Phoenix, I saw both Dhamaal and loved them. they made me laughed alot. Of course, i would pick out Ashish any time 😀
I am open-minded to different types of music: soul, oldies, country western, some Indian, some rock, classical, some pop…I like songs that are melodious, has meaning, clean and not noisy! I like Indian songs. I’ve gotten to know some really nice ones through EMA. “Tum Hi Ho” ( I even began to sing and play this one on my guitar!) 😀
although I am not good at singing Hindi. I try. I listen and I try. lol

I researched and like this song “Duaa” (from the film Shanghai). I never heard this one before but found it.

This song played after Raghav was beaten up by Vitthal on the wedding night. This song is so, so deep and makes me think deeply. It is extremely beautiful. One of things I like about the “write up” given by Desitvbox is it includes the songs that play in the background of the different episodes, so I get to research them.

  lol….I think I got “Tum Hi Ho”. Today I tried to play “Dua” and it wasn’t all of that bad! At least I didn’t hear anyone complaining….yet! lol I should get it right soon. 😀
  I encounter glitches in pronouncing Hindi words, especially when the singers sing them so fast!!
  
  you were right with songs. They are masterful. Very soulful and with excellent lyrics. The can stick in your head. Indeed, I have praises for the Indians when it comes to their music. They are very poetic, creative and expressive. I’m impressed and love their songs. Once I heard “Tum Hi Ho” in the tranquil of the night, and having learnt it’s meaning, that song stirred something inside of me. I love music. It is a wonderful thing. EMA made some lovely choices for their various episodes. Do you remember that dancing scene with Raghav and Kalpi? At her success party? The song was “Tere naina” (your eyes).

When men are close to their moms its said they are tied to their mothers apron strings, if they show favour towards their wives then its said that they are under their wives rule.I’m not saying that they are beyond criticism or are innocent babes, but I do believe that we expect too much sometimes. Women can be very selfish divas at times, some make huge demands and have high expectations. I observe these things, I see relationships falter or fail and I wish that there was a bit more understanding and tolerance. It is sometimes said that men are emotionally challenged beings and I wonder how we deduce that, is it because we demand and expect too much or is he really that insensitive.

Take the case of raghav here, he wants to please both women he loves. Each wants a different thing and he can only do one at a time. He has to honour his mother (it is scriptually required), he has to please the love of his life but she wants him to do what the mother insisted he doesn’t do. Sure, he’s a grown man and should be able to make up his own mind, (be a man raghav and make your choice, assert yourself, don’t be a coward, leave your mother she’s insane, send her to a nuthouse, etc) all of a sudden we become judge, jury and executioner. We declare the man selfish or spineless for wanting to please both women and expect any understanding from them. Why should women understand after all man was supposed to be superstrong in so many ways.

I hope that the “sindoor” act is fully explained in tomorrows episode and not dragged out for the whole week. I also hope that it wasn’t a form of marriage as that would be really bad, and the creatives put the character in a very bad situation. He’s like a ragdoll being pulled apart by two little girls, both wanting to have the whole doll.

Not that raghav looks like a ragdoll. Lol :). Bye.

  Love what you said here Nirvana. Very good and I agree wholeheartedly with you. That’s why i find the character of Raghav so fascinating! I love him! And hey…I know of a young man who began to watch EMA only because of the character Raghav for exactly the same reason you outlined above. The young man likes who this character is, what he does and he wants to know what drives him, how he deals with his conflicts, the inner troubles he has and so forth. Isn’t that neat that people are attracted to a character for such interesting reasons? The young man sees a real man in Raghav. And men can identify with Raghav so he does make for a very fascinating character to watch. I hope the writers realises this about the character and understands how viewers see this particualr character, and thus be careful to ensure that they don’t destroy him.

  I understand Raghav’s dilemma and I understand what you’ve just said . I would have been in total agreement with Raghav , if only his plight wasn’t so outrageous . In my mind his mother is totally wrong . Revenge is like war , there is no morality in it and the innocents suffer along with the evil ones . I struggle with this principle because I had hoped that Raghav would have been firmer with his mother from the beginning and had told her that his mission in life has changed , he’s no longer interested in battling his past , he wants to embrace the future .
  Had Gaurie sited Kalpi’s low caste as a reason for him to not marry her . What do you think Raghav would have done ? He would have shunned her views and married Kalpi .
  My point is that , at that point at which that his mother approached him with her nonsense , he reacted without proper thought , he put Kalpi second . .. that moment of indiscretion made him lose some weight in Kalpi’s view . She came again to him , going against her mother’s warnings , she came expectantly and heard the same logic on a different day ” I’m going to do what mummy says I have to do ” .
  His mother is not right , how can he follow her instructions when even he has recognised the repercussions of his actions to be wrong ?? That is why I say that he should have sort help for his mother .
  He is being a puppet of the past .

  you made me remember something…I was never a fan of the song “Tum Hi Ho”. It never resonated with me until I saw it and its meaning in EMA and then I loved it. One of the best.   Tum Hi Ho is very nice , sung by my favourite singer Arijit Sing and from the movie Ashiqui 2 which was an awesome movie . The songs I’ve sent you are a bit older , there are some amazing newer ones . Those just seemed to fit the EMA theme at present .

  Yeah Kris 🙂 . Very few people know that my first love was actually PR . I loved Ankita and Sushant just like Paige loves Kalpi and Raghav . I was never able to love Aarti and Yash in the same way . I understand Paige’s first love theory 😀 . Just look how PR turned out 🙁 .
