Bheema says I feel bad as Baba had to give money to the gardener because of our mistake. Bhimbai tells them not to think too much. Let it be. Go and freshen up. I will serve food. She cries while preparing plates for the kids.
Bheema tells Bala not to be greedy for anything later on. What we have is enough! Bala says it was Anand’s idea. Tell this to him. Anand says I am the foolish one right. You are the elder brother. You should have stopped me. Bala and Anand argue cutely. Bheema tells them to stop fighting.
Puranjan gives half of his share to Ram ji but he denies. You also have some obligations. Puranjan says I don’t want your lecture. It is okay if I am illiterate. Keep it or our friendship is over. Ram ji says I am surviving because of you only. Puranjan says you are a fighter. I enjoy being with you. I also get to learn a lot many things this way. Ram ji smiles.
The kids are studying. Bala is about to fall right over the lantern but Bheema holds him just in time. Why do you want to burn your head like this? Sit aside and study. Bheema continues memorizing the tables which boggles Anand. How do you remember everything? Bheema says this is how I do it. Let me study. Meera returns home. She goes to keep the money inside. Ram ji is pleasantly surprised to see all the kids studying together. He offers to teach calculation to Tulsa and Manjula. Bheema says I will tell you the table of 23 in a while. Ram ji smiles. Anand says I am done for the day and goes inside. The lantern blows out. Tulsa and Manjula are looking for oil but they are unable to find the container. Ram ji goes to check himself but it is too dark. Bhimbai goes inside holding a burning stick. She hits Anand as he is sleeping peacefully. He takes out the oil box kept under the cot. The oil box is empty. Ram ji says why dint you tell me that there is no oil. How will kids study? Bhimbai says one night wont cause any harm. Bala is sleeping outside and Anand is here. Ram ji is concerned about Bheema. Bhimbai dismisses it. Bheema wonders how he will tell the table to Guru ji tomorrow if he wont study tonight. He smiles noticing a lantern lit nearby. He sits outside the house and starts memorizing the table. Ram ji asks for Bheema. Bala murmurs in half sleep. I dint see him. It is too dark. Bhimbai shouts his name. Ram ji suddenly notices the light and smiles. I know where he is!
The guy asks Bheema what he is doing here. have you come to steal something? Bheema says I am not a thief. I have come here to study. I am a student. The guy taunts him that he wont become Barrister this way. Study in the afternoon. Bheema says I have to do my homework. I don’t like getting punished. You leave the lantern here every night. I will go in a while. The guy tells him to leave. I don’t hang lantern here for kids like you! Ram ji has seen everything. Bheema looks at the sky. Why don’t you light up in the same manner every night? I would have finished my studies if that was the case. Ram ji pats at his head. Let me find a way out for you. Bheema is puzzled but his Baba asks him to come. He lights fire in the courtyard. Bheema sits next to the fire. Ram ji says we will sit here till the time you finish studying. Everyone sits down happily around him. Ram ji asks Bala and Anand to pick up their books as well. Manjula and Tulsa happily join their brothers. Anand tells Bheema to read loudly so he can also remember it. Bheema gladly does that. Ram ji asks them if Bheema will study on everyone’s behalf. Anand says Bheema is very smart. He can study on everyone’s behalf. Ram ji reasons that everyone has to study for themselves. Anand says Bheema’s studies will help everyone. Bheema smiles thinking of what happened a while ago. He was a foolish person who dint let me study in the light of his lantern!
Bhimbai gives money to Ram ji. I sold my jewellery. Ram ji is taken aback. Why? Bhimbai says I did it as I have always seen my husband like a Subedar. I have never seen him running to look for monetary help. He says you could have asked me once. She asks him if he asked her before lifting sacks today. He acts innocent but she points at his wounded hands. He reasons that no work is small but she tells him against it. I have seen you like a Subedar my entire life. I cannot see you lifting sacks, especially not in this age. He says I will still be young for another 20 years. She tells him not to try to fool her. I cannot see you like this. He says our kids are growing. It is their time to study and grow. The hardships of today will bring colours tomorrow. We cannot stop now. We have to earn money at any cost to make sure Bheema studies to his heart’s content. We have to become good, responsible parents. Everything becomes possible and easy for responsible parents. This is what I strive for! I will work whole day and you can apply turmeric on my wounded hands. I will be fine by morning. She cries. He tells her not to fall weak. Bheema has overheard their entire convo and looks on sadly.
Everyone is sleeping. Bheema wakes up stealthily and walks up to his father. He tries to look at his hands. Ram ji shifts in sleep. Bheema uses his strength to look at his palms. You are the best Baba of the world!
Precap: Thieves surround Bhimbai and Manjula and steal their money. She cries. How will my Bheema study now? Later, an education inspector visits Bheema’s school. He asks the kids a question but they lie that they haven’t been taught that yet. Bheema says he has taught us but we don’t remember it right now. One the inspector leaves, the kids tears Bheema and Anand’s books and break their slates. Bheema and Anand eye their stuff sadly.
