Meghnat mentions that Shishupal would have to choose one of the two choices, either the stick meaning his father or that book meaning Bhim Rao, hearing which Bhim gets tensed while looking at Meghnat who says now Shishupal has to chose either his father or Bhim Rao. Shishupal gets tensed while looking at the book or his father, Meghnat asks him to come ahead and choose, Bhim says that Shishupal is his son so how can he talk of deciding it, Meghnat says Bhim Rao should just watch this drama as Shishupal just has the option of choosing, he goes to furiously open the hands of Shishupal who keeps staring at his father. Meghnat asks him to go ahead and choose as by choosing the stick is his father, house their wealth and the beautiful future while with the book means the homelessness, along with hatred and being an outcast so that he will have to live a life like Bhim Rao hearing which Bhim asks what is he saying, Meghnat replies he is talking in the manner that is suitable for the one who goes against their ideals, he orders Shishupal to chose between the two situations placed before him. Shishupal slowly starts walking ahead with a very tensed and standing in front of Meghnat he looks at Bhim, Meghnat warns that this choice would decide his future along with that of his wife and even if he has any child so Shishupal should think before choosing either the stick or the book. Shishupal looking at the book and stick gets worried.
Puran refuses to let anyone of them walk ahead, Ramji is worried about what would happen there when Puran says they would surely find out very soon, Jaggu replies that Meghnat would surely send Bhim back after a severe beating, Janardhan says Bhim would surely lose one day after which he would be beaten, Rama replies she does not know what has happened before but her husband never fights for wining, but he only thinks of the society which is true at heart and that is what he is fighting for while this present society is filled with hatred and now people have to decide if they stand with Bhim Rao or against him.
Shishupal looks at the book before staring at Bhim after which he looks at the stick, Meghnat says Shishupal should decide what he wants for his future life but it is very easy to chose one thing for an hour or two while difficult to stand by it for their entire life, Meghnat mentions he along with their society also wants to see if Shishupal would chose his father or Bhim Rao who is standing in front of him. Bhim Rao looks at Shamla who is very tensed, Shishupal also turns to look at Bhim and after thinking for a moment he kneels down to touch the book with trembling hands however is not able to do it at first, Shishupal is struggling a lot seeing which Meghnat is worried along with Shamla but Shishupal retracts his hands to stand up once again, Sethji stats rejoicing. Shishupal starts looking at the stick which he takes from his father, the worker also gets worried witnessing it while everyone from the upper class is rejoicing for the decision of Shishupal.
Shishupal breaks the stick with his knee witnessing which Meghnat is shocked along with everyone else, Bhim is relieved seeing the broken stick.Shishupal throws the sticks away, Meghnat is stunned seeing it, Shishupal kneels in-front of his eyes to once again reach for the book which he picks with his hands while having a smile on his face. Bhim is not able to believe it, Shishupal looks at him while Bhim is smiling, Meghnat is furious at the choice of his son while then Shishupal kisses the book witnessing which Shamla is smiling. Shishupal says that before picking the book his hands started trembling which might be because if the stick is near the book then it does not have any meaning if they pick the book, so when the stick broke he managed to pick the book and even accept it, Shishupal places the book on his chest, Meghnat cannot bear it. Sethji warns Shishupal would not get anything from this book, Shishupal tells Sethji he does not know what is in this book that Bhim Rao remains mad for it, and his wife praises the book but now he would also try to understand the book and know its strength. Meghnat says Shishupal chose the book so must also listen to his decision, Meghnat in front of the society ousts Shishupal from his house, property and wealth, ordering that he should get out from here after which he pushes Shishupal who falls on the ground while still holding the book. Shishupal is furious as Meghnat even orders to throw Shamla. Bhim stops requesting Meghnat to not do it, Sethji tells Shishupal there is still a chance and he should tear the book after which his father might forgive him. Shishupal walking to Sethji says he has for the first time chosen something in his life, he vows to not apologize to his father for it. Shishupal then removes the rope from Shamla while Meghnat mentions they have died for him from today, he orders they should leave but Shishupal refuses to go anywhere while leaving with the book but Meghnat orders his men to stop Shishupal from entering the house so Bhim follows them.
The workers are running after Shishupal who warns them how they should not stop him from going inside the house, he explains he is very strong and they all know about it. Shamla tries to stop Shishupal but Bhim says that she should not stop him and believe that what he would do today is not going to be wrong,
Shishupal going to the kitchen starts checking the pots one after another and in one of them he finds the gun that he has hidden, Shishupal holding the gun in his hands is standing in front of the statue of Bhim Rao.
