Ek Mahanayak – Dr. B.R. Ambedkar 24th November 2022 Written Episode

The episode begins with Jijabai waiting for Bhim Rao to return. Karola questioned Jijabai for being against Bhim Rao though he has never said a single word against her. Jijabai said that Bhim Rao was too cunning to understand, he wanted Jijabai to drift apart from her husband, he was the reason Karola wasn’t with her husband. Bhim Rao came, told that the woman didn’t listen. She wanted her money by tomorrow. Bhim Rao went inside. Jijabai mocked Bhim Rao for speaking proudly about Bhim Rao. She asked Karola to act sensibly for herself, or she will lose everything.

Bala recalled the day he accepted the challenge with Bhim Rao. He remembered the many times he lost, Karola standing against him, woman asking for her money and Joshi betraying him. Hitesh, Joku and Janardan taunted Bala for thinking that Joshi would help him. Joku mocked him, said that Bala lost his dignity by accepting the challenge. He lost his manhood, his wife, and his house. Anand came down to clean the dishes. Hitesh and his fellows were shocked to see Anand washing dishes. Anand tried to ignore them but Hitesh and Joku forced him to answer. Anand said that it was his chores to clean as well. Janardan taunted him and his brother for not being manly. Anand shouted at them, asked them to mind their business. Everyone came out at his loud voice. Anand said that no one else will decide he can do or not. If Lakshmi can earn for him than he can do work for her. Daliya and Deepak’s mother agreed with Anand and his thinking. Anand didn’t want a lecture on how to be a good husband. Ramji told him that a husband should be a friend to his wife. Bala questioned Anand for taunting him. Anand didn’t direct it to Bala but would appreciate if he befriended his wife. Bala didn’t consider himself wrong, he was right the way he was. Bala was ready to face the woman. Phuliya asked Bala not to be infuriated. Deepak’s mother and Daliya asked Bala to think wisely. Bala didn’t want a lecture. He asked Anand to do whatever he wanted. He insulted himself, no one considered Bala anything. Bala burst into tears. Karola went to him. Bala stopped her from coming forward. He didn’t want anyone to come near him, even if he shouts from pain or dies here. He forbids anyone from interfering in his matters. Anand went back to cleaning dishes. Lakshmi came home, she questioned Anand.

Bhim Rao wrote in his journal that it was difficult to recognize tears, one can never understand why someone was crying. Just like today, they couldn’t understand why Bala was crying. Rama told that everyone was trying to change his ideology, that’s why he was crying. Bhim Rao didn’t agree. Bhim Rao has known Bala from childhood. Bala loves getting attention, but today he stopped everyone from getting near. Rama asked why he did so. Bhim Rao told that his life was taking turn for him, he wasn’t feeling adjusted understood or loved. Bala wants to be alone for that time. Rama said that Bala will lose this challenge, he knows that but doesn’t want to admit. Bhim Rao awaits for the answer.

Bala accepted himself for how he was.

Lakshmi and Anand were washing dishes. Anand asked her to stop, he wanted him to sit and watch. Lakshmi asked him to understand, it didn’t look good. Anand asked Lakshmi not to talk like other, they should normalize men doing women’s work. Lakshmi agreed. Anand cleaned the dishes; he can work for Lakshmi if she can earn for him. He wanted to help in kitchen, once learnt he will make dinner for them as well. He asked Lakshmi to let him do his work.

Karola saw them, she didn’t want to live the same life with Bala again. She decided to leave this place and go somewhere far. Her leaving would bring and end to all the fights.
