Shishupal gets furious at Shamla asking what is it while she is sitting outside, he asks who had come to give her food when she replies she does not recognize them and they left, Meghnat asks if this is how one answers her husband so she is very ill mannered, Shamla replies that she is not ill mannered but hungry and if she is not allowed to eat here then the one who worries for her would come, but if they donot come here to give her food she will herself go to eat at their house since life is very sacred while she would ruin by starving. Shamla returns when Shishupal follows her, Meghnat is also furious.

Shoba tells Bhim that Shamla has eaten the food but she said they should not bring it since the night and she will take care of it, Deepak informs Bhim that he saw some people going to the house of Shamla with sticks and he feels they would have hurt her, Bhim gets worried.

The people ask Meghnat to tell them the name of the person who came to give food to their daughter in law after which they would surely beat the person. Shishupal also angrily demands the name of the person who gave her the food but Shamla refuses to pay any importance to his threats saying that he can try to beat her, Shamla manages to stop Shishupal from hurting her but she falls on the floor, Shishupal turns to leave when she asks him if she can make the food and eat here, Shishupal replies she can even cook for herself but the people of the lower class would not come to his house, Shamla praises Bhim for not letting her run away as the fight he talked about has started.

In the night Rama brings the cloth for Bhim telling it is very cold, she says the life of a women is very difficult because if they get a nice husband then their life is easy, as she knows it would be very difficult for Shamla when Bhim mentions that had he known she was getting married to Shishupal then he would have stopped it. Jija Bai comes saying they cannot do anything they know, Karuna comes ordering Rama to wash the dirty dishes, she even says to Bhim that his elder brother is ill so he should massage his head, Bhim says how would he know it, Karuna replies that Bhim knows everything relating to the outsiders but have no regard for what is happening in their own house, Rama asks Karuna to not make a mess of things when both Bhim and Rama leave. Bua comes asking Karuna if she got satisfied when karuna replies that she was doing what neither Bua nor Jija Bai was able to do, Bua asks what is she doing, Karuna replies she is teaching the younger to remain in their limits and she leaves while Bua gets worried.

Bala is massaging his head when Bhim comes offering to massage it however Bala says that it is fine and if his head hurts then Karuna would do it but she says that they both are brothers and it is the duty of Bhim as his younger brother to take care of him. Bala asks Bhim to leave while he will talk with Karuna, she says that not only Bua but even Bala has ruined the habits of the younger in this house after which Bhim starts massaging it and then Karuna orders Rama to go and wash the dishes, Karuna goes to smile with Jija Bai asking her to see how the environment of the house is changing, Jija Bai tells Karuna that they would enjoy this change it.

Shishupal while angrily walking mentions this women has ruined his mind when Meghnat comes asking what is going on here since Shishupal is worried along with him while his wife is sleeping peacefully in the room. Shishupal asks what can eh do when Meghnat orders him to go and pull the cloth from his wife saying he should hear what they have to do after it. Shishupal entering the kitchen pulls Shamla when he says that they are going to give an answer to those people of the lower class for coming to feed her, Shamla asks him to stop as the men try to exert their strength but Shishupal stops Shamla saying that Bhim considers her as his sister then they would go to see what he means by it.

Bala stops Bhim assuring he is feeling nice so Bhim says he must rest when Karuna comes telling Bhim to take these clothes to Jaggu who would clean them. Bala tells Karuna is purposefully humiliating Bhim, Karuna replies what does it mean as he just has to take the clothes while Bhim is the youngest in this house and has to do these sort of things but it is wrong if they did not let him do the work, she asks him so he leaves. Bala tells Karuna to not make Bhim her enemy as it is wrong, she asks if he is scared that Bhim has the support of everyone while he is fearing that he would have to stand against Bhim like everyone else, she asks him to relax as he is the elder son while she is the eldest daughter in law and they would remain like they must, she is going to prepare the bed and he must sleep.

Bhim walks out with the clothes when Ramji stops him asking what is he doing, Bhim replies they are just doing the house hold chores, Ramji says he has never seen them working so late at night rather he has not seen anyone work so late at night. Rama and Bhim say they are just helping but Ramji informs he is the father and when things seem out of place then he knows something is wrong so what is it.

Deepak comes running telling Bhim that Shishupal is asking Bhim to come on the way leading to the station, Ramji gets worried when Bhim tells Baba that he was worrying relating to the house hld work while they can have work at any time, Rama says she will come after putting the utensils so Bhim leaves with Rama and Ramji in the middle of the night.

Bhim sees Shamla standing in the middle of the road shivering, he asks if she does not have any cloth when Shishupal explains Bhim should give his own cloth otherwise Shamla would remain cold like this, Bhim says then this means Shishupal has done it on purpose explaining he would remain in the cold for a thousand times for his sister, Shamla refuses saying why would Bhim remain in the cold for him, Bhim asks Shamla to go back to her house because if he stays without the cloth for one night then would not get cold, Shishupal stops Bhim saying he should not go and sleep with the cloth since if Bhim stays outside for one night then his sister Shamla would never have to stay outside in the cold again but he has to take the responsibility.
