Detailed update:
Viren says to the Vadheras that the government gives a cancer patient the right to select his/her donor and Maanvi refuses to accept Jeevika’s bone-marrow hence she has filed a case against her. Jeevika asks Maanvi why she is putting the whole family’s respect under danger? Maanvi says that if Jeevika takes her decision back then only she will take back the case. Jeevika refuses through her expressions. Maanvi says that she is not taking the case back and that until this case is in court, Jeevika and Maanvi aren’t sisters. Jeevika is left shocked as Virat and Inder take Maanvi back to her room.
Scene change
Viren is telling Jeevika that the date for the court case is tomorrow. Jeevika is lost in her own thoughts and asks Viren how she will fight the case against Maanvi. Viren says to Jeevika, don’t think that you are fighting a case against Maanvi, think that you are fighting between Maanvi’s life and her death. Viren tells Jeevika that if she wins the case then Maanvi will get a new life and if they lose the case then…Viren leaves his sentence incomplete.
Jeevika says that she will save Maanvi’s life by winning the case. Viren tells Jeevika to remember that Maanvi’s case is also strong but he reassures her by saying he will try his best to win the cast. All in all, it comes down to the judge about what he/she decides.
Scene change
Vanshika is highlighting the fact that for the first time J and M are having such a big fight, that too for each other’s well being, and the matter is being taken to court.
Scene change
Jeevika remembers what her mother told her about a big sister being like a mother. In this case, Jeevika being a mother for Maanvi. Jeevika remembers her mother telling her to never fight with Maanvi. Then Jeevika remembers how Maanvi said that as long as the case continues, JeeMan are not sisters. Jeevika asks herself about where time has brought her. She thinks about how she will fight a case in reality which she can’t even fight in her thoughts. Maanvi is regretting how she is hurting her Di and apologizing while she is alone. But she says that she has to save Chutki that’s why she is doing all this!
Scene change
Viren and Inder are looking for information to fight their court cases.
Scene change
It is morning and Virat asks Inder in Maanvi’s room about how they will take Maanvi’s oxygen and drip there. Maanvi says that they should not take her portable oxygen and drip there because it will prove that she is at a critical place in her illness. Inder Chachu agrees that this will weaken their case. Virat says to take the portable oxygen just in case and remove it when they get to court. Maanvi agrees.
Scene change
Everyone has arrived at court. It is sister vs. sister now:
Jeevika sees that Maanvi is not wearing her oxygen mask and asks her where it is. Maanvi walks away without responding. Jeevika talks to Dr Mehra about this and Dr Mehra assures that Maanvi will be fine a couple of hours without her oxygen mask.
Scene change
Court case starts. Judge firstly asks whether JeeMan are ready to take this family matter in to court. After a little hesitation both of them agree.
Inder explains the current situation about why Maanvi is refusing taking the bone marrow to the judge. Inder says that to save M, J will have to go against the law and abort her child. Viren objects saying that J is only 10 months pregnant and she still can abort her child. He provides the judge with some reports of J and says that the law gives permission for a lady to abort her child in the first 20 months of pregnancy and J needs to sacrifice her child to save her sister’s life.
Viren requests the judge that it is the last chance to save Maanvi’s life so Jeevika should be able to help out. Inder objects and invites Dr Mehra to speak. Inder asks the Dr whether Jeevika is the only one who can save Maanvi? Or can she find another donor our of everyone else in the whole world? Dr Mehra says it is hard to find donors but it is possible to find another one. Inder says that it is difficult but not impossible because only a little while ago Maanvi found a bone marrow donor. Dr Mehra says that this is true. Inder says that this means it is possible to find another donor. Dr Mehra agrees but says it is unlikely.
says that Maanvi can find a donor apart from Jeevika then why should Jeevika abort her child? If both lives can be saved then why kill one? Inder says to Viren that they should aim to save maximum lives.
Viren says to Inder that he is forgetting that when we have to chose between to lives, the one that is actually in front of our eyes is the main priority. It is more important to save what we have today then what is coming tomorrow. Inder looks down. Viren says that today is more important than tomorrow?
Viren goes onto ask Dr Mehra some questions. He asks Dr Mehra what Maanvi’s health is like currently and Dr Mehra says that Maanvi is at a critical stage of her illness. Viren emphasizes this point to the judge that Maanvi is extremely unwell according to a doctor.
Viren asks Dr Mehra why a few days ago the bone-marrow transplant attempt was not successful. Dr Mehra replies that it wasn’t successful because Maanvi’s blood wasn’t accepting his blood cells. Viren says but before that you performed an extensive chemo session on Maanvi right? Dr Mehra agrees and says that in this chemo session we removed Maanvi’s damaged blood marrow cells from her body.
The questions-answers continue and Viren especially emphasizes the fact that J and M’s bone marrow are a 6/6 match and that Jeevika can 100% save Maanvi’s life. The checkup for this has already been done and J can definitely save M’s life. Viren says to the judge that the situation is all in front of you, we just request you understand our case. Viren says that Dr Mehra can leave now but Inder wants to ask him one more question. Inder says to Dr Mehra that a few days ago the bone-marrow donor they found was not able to give blood to Maanvi because Maanvi’s blood was not accepting his blood cells. Inder asks the doctor that if his blood cells were not accepted, does this mean that Maanvi’s body may not be able to accept Jeevika’s blood cells either? Dr Mehra says that no this is not the case. Maanvi’s blood will definitely accept Jeevika’s blood cells because their bone-marrows are a perfect match.
Dr Mehra leaves and Inder invites a lady psychologist who has much knowledge about the impact on a women after abortion. The lady says that there are many negative impacts on a women after abortion and it is not good for them. She talks about how it eventually affects the mother in the long term.
Viren brings forward another lady to present her perspective. The lady says that it should be up to a lady whether or not she wants to give birth to a child or not. Maanvi says that then I should be given this right as well. If I don’t want Mrs Jeevika’s bone marrow in my body then I won’t have it. Virat stands up and so does Inder Chachu to provide support. Viren tries to object but the judge declines it. Maanvi continues speaking and saying that she should be given this right. The judge tells Maanvi to calm down and for her lawyer to speak instead of her. Inder says to the lady that if J can decide over her child, then M should be able to decide whose bone marrow she wants inserted into her body. The lady agrees and says that everyone has this right. Maanvi says then if this is the case I refuse to accept Mrs Jeevika Vadhera’s bone marrow.
The court case takes a break for ten minutes.
Jeevika and Viren talk outside and Viren says that they can win the case by proving in court that Maanvi is getting extremely sick and she can’t take a decision for herself because she is mentally unfit. Dr Mehra says that whatever you do, do it quickly because such court circumstances could be bad for Maanvi’s health.
Viren asks Jeevika whether she is ready and Jeevika says she is. Jeevika says that now I will speak in court. The media people enter the court.
Jeevika stands up in court. She remembers her promise made to her mum for Maanvi. Jeevika tells the court that I was 8 and Maanvi was 5 when we lost our parents. From then until now, we have been acting as the shadow of each other. I am elder than her but many times Manavi has acted to be the elder sister. Maanvi has always been concerned about me. My sister thinks that whatever troubles happen in my life are because of her. But the truth is that every happiness of my life comes from Maanvi. Today between Maanvi’s death and life there is hardly any distance. If I don’t save Maanvi’s life I will lose her forever. She says that it is possible I have another child but I can’t get Maanvi back into my life if I lose her. Jeevika says she can’t live without Maanvi.
Jeevika request the court to be able to save Maanvi because it is not only the matter of Maanvi’s life, it is the matter of her life as well. Her life, which she has the right to live to the fullest.
Maanvi comes up to the witness box to speak but the judge refuses her presence and asks her to speak from her seat. Maanvi says that J always gave her happiness but M could only give her sadness. Maanvi says to save her life J is sacrificing her child which she will not let happen. She says she will be better of dying then be the reason of Chutki’s death. Maanvi begins to get sick in speaking against Jeevika.
The judge says that the court needs some time to settle the situation and due to Maanvi’s ill health she was not able to express what she wanted to say properly hence the court wants to give her a second chance. They court delays the matter to Monday.
Everyone leaves. J says to Viren that waiting until Monday means waiting three days which will risk Maanvi’s health. Dr Mehra says that it is not safe to delay the bone marrow treatment because it is dangerous for Maanvi’s health.
Jeevika thinks to herself that now there is only one path left to follow and she knows what she was to do from now on.
Precap: Jeevika tells Viren that they can’t wait until Monday. Viren asks what do from here and Jeevika says that she knows what do from here. Viren hugs Jeevika and says that he is with her in every step of the way.
