Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain 28th August 2012 Written Update

Episode begins with Dr. Mehra’s Hospital where Jeevika is getting her tests done. The Nurse tells her that during the ancient time women weren’t allowed to even stay near a syringe; and she is getting such tests done. Jeevika is scared but the Nurse asks her to relax.

After the tests Jeevika is waiting in Dr. Mehra’s room. He arrives and asks her not to stress for it’s not very good for her and unborn child. She needs to remain happy. Suddenly the lights go off but return in less than three seconds. Just then Jeevika asks if her reports were ready, but Dr. Mehra informs her that the computer crashed due to the electricity fluctuation. Hence he asks her to return home and he will inform her as soon as her reports are out. He also reminds her that Jeevika can only donate her seven months and till then Manvi has to be strong and face the cancer.

As soon as Jeevika returns home, she checks on Manvi and hears her coughing. She directly runs to Manvi and inquires what happened. Manvi in return asks Jeevika where she had been early morning? Jeevika tries to avoid her question and rushes outside since her phone rings. It’s none other than Dr. Mehra. And he informs that Jeevika’s bone marrow perfectly matches Manvi’s! Therefore she can donate after 7 months

Jeevika starts crying in joy that she can donate her bone marrow. She then goes back to Manvi and asks Virat and Dabbu to go have lunch while she sits with Manvi. They leave. Manvi asks Jeevika whether it will be a Chutku or Chutki (girl or boy). Jeevika replies that they don’t know yet, but Manvi keeps her ears on Jeevika’s womb and says she feels it will be Chutki, who has a soft heart just like her Jeevika Di.

Jeevika gets emotional. Manvi then asks her if she is ready to lay a bat on that? Jeevika says she has a condition for the bat- that Manvi needs to take good care of herself until Chutki is born. Because if God forbid she doesn’t get a donor soon, then Jeevika will donate her bone marrow only after 7 months. Manvi says without seeing and welcoming her little Chutki in this house, she will not go anywhere! (They hold each other’s hands while the sad version of the title song plays in the BG)

Everyone else on the dining table having their lunch where as Tarun takes soup for Manvi and Jeevika. Randomly, Virat and Dabbu both say that they are not very hungry hence they too will have soup from now onward. Swamini Bua is still faced. Jeevika comes and starts serving everyone. She also informs that Tarun is taking good care of Manvi for the time being.

Swamini Bua suddenly notices the injection plaster on Jeevika’s elbow and asks what’s happened. Viren too asks her and everyone’s eyes are on her. She gets scared and has nothing to say when Vanshika asks her why she hasn’t yet removed her pregnancy test plaster which she took last week? Jeevika nods and removes it although she’s freaked out.

Back in Hrishikesh, Madan and Beeji are counting out the money they have gathered for Manvi’s treatment. Apparently it’s not even half the amount. They’re all worried because they have already sold all their jewellery. Pinky informs that the only way out was to sell of their mansion. 
On the other hand, Swamini Bua brings money from Vadhera’s FD. Dadaji informs her that Beeji has refused to take their help but indirectly they have to make sure this money reaches them without them knowing it was from the Vadhera’s. Dadaji then narrates to Swamini how he saw his own mother dying because they didn’t have enough money to arrange for her treatment and none of their relatives were willing to donate either. & He didn’t want to risk Manvi’s life.

Here after lunch, Virat is telling Manvi a fairytale story. He mentions himself as the Prince  Manvi makes a face and asks her how he became the Prince? Romantically he replies that ever since he found out that she was the Princess  They’re both staring at each other. Viren and Jeevika are witnessing their romance and come to disturb/tease them. Both blush. Jeevika starts pulling Virat’s leg and asks him if he ever leaves a chance of flirting? Viren interrupts and tells her to leave his brother and tease her own sister too 

Viren’s phone rings and leaves. He reaches and hall and asks everyone to accompany him to Manvi’s room. Everyone is scared as to what Viren is up to. They reach the room and Viren informs them that a doctor had called from Delhi, and… They’ve found a donor for Manvi! Everyone smiles out of joy, especially the Behna’s. They share a happy hug.
