Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain 21st August 2012 Written Update

Scene 1:
The scene starts with everybody waiting at the breakfast table for dadaji’s medicine to be prepared by maanvi.Buaji is angry but ultimately maanvi arrives with dadaji’s bitter medicine and jokes that dadaji would have to drink this medicine evryday in order to get rid of sugar and everybody is happy. But swamini bua is not happy at maanvi’s conduct and taunts her by comparing her to jeevika and saying that she could never be as meticulous as her sister.Maanvi takes this criticismm positively and tells her that she too agrees on jeevika’s uniqueness.

Scene 2:
Maanvi is in her bedroom wincing in pain when virat walks in and asks her about her health.Putting up a brave face she says that she is alright and that she should focus now on her responsibilities towards her sister and her in laws and that she should take over jeevika’s work as the woman of the family and allow her to rest in her pregnanat condition.virat appreciates her concern but also instructs her to tell her sister about the truth of her cancer condition.Seeing her uncomfortable he asks maanvi,to which she admits to being in pain.he immediately gives her medicine,and now maanvi retaliates back saying that he is also trying very hard to keep full care of his wife just like she is doing for his family.maanvi remembers that she has a lot of chores to do and rushes out of the room with virat in tow.

Scene 3:
Jeevika and buaji discussing the groceries when maanvi butts in saying that jeevika should rest and that the entire household’s responsibility for today is on her and also apologizes for her being late on the breakfast table today.And promises to do as good a job as jeevika’s.But swamini bua leaves from there without paying attention to her explanation

Scene 4:
The kids in both the families decide that they would hold a bet on who would win in this Swamini bua-maanvi battle.First round went to swamini bua when she saw maanvi spilling the contents of the pencil box while trying to help him in her studies.Second round goes to Maanvi when she successfully does the aarti and dadaji is happy with her.Third round again goes to swamini bua when she sees maanvi burning her hands due to hot food.The score being 2 for buaji in the lead,Maanvi is called by her mother in law to be presented with the traditional family heirloom,Grand earrings.Flattered by such love,maanvi requests her to treat her as her daughter and help her in being able to please swamini bua,so she is told that sitafal’s icecream is buaji’s favourite.

Scene 5:
Maavi goes on tp make the icecream and the whole family is waiting patiently to see the result.dabbu gathers everybody to the hall to the tasting and scoring of maanvi’s dish.Buaji is skeptical and is unsure in front of kadambari if maaanvi will pass the test.dabbu gathers everybody to the tasting table.Maanvi is happy with her icecream but she is groggy when she is carrying the tray towards both the families and ultimately faints dropping alll the icecream. Everbody is worried on her condition and they stop her from falling on the ground.The screen freezes on maanvi’s troubled face in pain.

Precap: Maanvi after being questioned by jeevika about her unnecessary insistence on working more than she can take in her condition, finally starts to spill out the actual truth about her cancer condition and that she doesnt have long to live.
