Ek Doosre Se Karte Hai Pyaar Hum 2nd July 2012 Written Update

The episode begins with Samyukta venting her frustration out, and telling Sushi about Rasila, and how she’s a total flirt. Meanwhile, Nikhilesh and Vinoy are having a discussion on the same lady, with the former attempting to defend himself and airing his wife’s insecurity *Men!! Grrr..*
The subject of discussion calls Nikhilesh, and they speak over the phone. Nikhilesh starts acting coy, and Vinoy is looking on, surprised! His father tells him, Samyukta will argue about this for two days. Samyukta, while speaking to Sushi, confirms the same, saying,
“Beta, roothna hamaara adhikaar hai, aur manaana unka farz!” (sic)

Tejal is texting someone, and asking that person to meet her at the stroke of midnight, outside her house. Vaibhavi comes in, looking for her phone, and Tejal almost gets caught. Turns out, she’s using her cousin’s phone to set her up with a guy *just my assumption*

Samyukta is narrating something to Sushi *her life-story, I suppose* and explains that having a baby brings a couple closer. Sushila’s eyes brim with tears, and she laments that she could be neither a responsible DIL nor a mother . Samyukta comforts her, saying it’s all a matter of time and that she should have faith in God. Sushila is still not convinced. She thinks it’s her fault that God hasn’t blessed her with the children she so desires. Samyukta encourages her, saying she should force God to change His mind. *Loved the way she said it. It was perfect!* Her MIL’s loving words make Sushila determined to become a better DIL and also change God’s opinion. *Umm…Sushila’s stylist should use a slightly darker lip colour palette. The pale lips don’t her beauty justice, and it’s too metallic for her character.*

Nikhilesh is tossing and turning about in bed, and Vinoy playfully asks him to admit that he’s missing mom . *I think, from now onwards, I’ll write Daddy Dearest and Mommy Dearest instead of Nikhilesh and Samyukta respectively. Suits them better, don’t you think?*

Mommy Dearest is pacing in her room, unable to sleep. Sushi is trying to get her to reconcile with Daddy Dearest. Vinoy and Sushi play Cupid, trying their best to get their parents to reconcile. The confrontation is funny. Neither of them wants to bend, and think the other is being adamant. The kids try, but when it’s apparent that Mommy and Daddy Dearest don’t want to talk to each other, Vinoy threatens to cancel their anniversary’s celebrations. Sushila manages to say something funny and gets them all laughing. Daddy apologizes to Mommy, and Vinoy comments, that it’s very difficult to raise parents!

At Tejal’s place, LalitaBen walks in with a tray and serves ice-cream to everyone. She gives them the good news that a certain Hemant is returning from the USA, and she thinks he’d be a good match for Vaibhavi, who doesn’t look much pleased hearing this. Tejal senses her disappointment and ushers her to their room, feigning sleep.

At about midnight, Tejal and Vaibhavi are just about to go out, when Tejal’s dad calls out her name. The girls think they’re busted, but he’s just talking in his sleep. Vaibhavi is still nervous, but she hears someone call her name. She sees her boyfriend -Nachiketh- at the gate. *Is that Gautam Gulati? Where are his trademark dimples?* She’s surprised to see him there, but Tejal explains that it’s her doing. She asks Nachiketh to be honest about whether he loves her sister or not. He replies in affirmative, saying he loves her a lot. Vaibhavi seems touched, but a tad nervous as well. She sheds light on the fact that he’s getting engaged to marry someone, and Nachiketh further explains it’s because of his mother’s emotional blackmailing about getting her son married to a girl from the same caste. *Seriously, people? In this day and age? I think it’s more important that you marry someone from the same species*

Tejal asks him again, if he’s serious about Vaibhavi. Hearing his positive answer, she assures him she’ll handle the rest *Way to go, girlie * LalitaBen wakes up to get some water, and notices that the main door is open. She decides to check it out. She doesn’t notice the girls outside and locks the door. Meanwhile, Tejal is telling the happy couple that she’ll get them married, no matter what it takes, and starts dancing about and clapping. Her aunt hears the clapping sounds and calls out to them. She and her brother step outside to see who it is. Tejal hides Nachiketh in a water barrel, and sits on it, and starts practising a few lines. When she sees her aunt, she says it’s a part of their surprise for her. The boy is suffocating, and taps the barrel. The episode ends on their shocked faces .

PRECAP: Tejal asks Aniket to help her with something, and invites him to a park. Aniket agrees. When he turns around, his entire family is trying to hide their surprise, and Vinoy smilingly asks him to spill the beans .
