Drashti and Gurmeet: Will the popular Geet jodi return with Colors’ Madhubala?
Drashti Dhami and Gurmeet Choudhary, when they come together, screens get scorched via their sizzling chemistry.
Their fans turned fanatics watching them romance on screen in Star One’s popular show, Geet.
After the show ended, Drashti and Gurmeet moved on in their respective careers, featuring in different shows, but their fans, heart-in-heart have always wanted to see them back together on screen.
And opportunity came knocking for the same after the male lead, Vivian Dsena, in Drashti’s ongoing show, Madhubala made an exit from the show.
The show airing on Colors and produced by Nautanki Telefilms, was set for the casting of the new male lead, and the clamour to cast Gurmeet opposite Drashti rose to deafening heights.
Well, as per our sources, as of now, Karanvir Vohar will be seen as the new lead in the show.
However, another source did mention that Gurmeet and even Karan Singh Grover, were given a shout out to come in as the male protagonist in the serial.
As part of the casting process, usually, many actors get approached before the makers finally zero in on the final name.
KSG did not agree to the offer, is what we hear, and though the makers were very keen to re-kindle the magic of Maneet (as fans lovingly call the jodi of Drashti and Gurmeet), the fact that stands true as of now is that Gurmeet is not a part of the show.
When buzzed Gurmeet to get more info on the same, he said that he was not approached to be a part of Madhubala.
However, producer Saurabh Tewari neither denied nor agreed on the development. He shared with us, “We are still debating on the name.”
Well, the debate is on. Fans of Drashti and Gurmeet…hope you all are reading this. If you all want the two in Madhubala, get going creating the buzz.

January 29, 18:41Plz plz. I want to see them back again. Even today I was watching geet only to see this couple together.
If they come again in this show that will be super hit. ( I Know its already hit and RK fans will not be happy if he exit) but its better if gurmeet be a part of the serial rather then anybody else. I m sure there are many people out there who want them to come back.

January 29, 08:38Just letting u know, if by chance gurmeet is roped in, he is not replacing RK’s character, but coming in as rk’s son in law for goodness sake… Id much rather watch vivian as a collage student than watch him as a father to madhu…. So if the story warrants it the leap has to happen for the story to continue…
I understand ur dissapointment my dear, but do realise, vivan has to move on to better opportunities …
He did a brilliant job as RK, now he must become the superstar he portrayed, I’m sure we will c him in something better soon… Untill then we can always replay madhubala 1 as many times as we like & keep remembering him…
But pls keep an open mind if ur a true fan of madhubala to give gurmeet a chance, that is if he does get the role…

I appreciate that ur a die hard fan of vivian, but to ridicule & call the rest of us bakwas, u my dear have no right…
We too r going to miss vivian, i was infact gonna quit watching it without him, cause i think no one else could have done the charcter of RK vetter than vivian… But that is not to say other actors aren’t any good… U might not have watched Geeth… Go watch it if u can, cause drashtee & gurmeet were so good together in that show… I was sad when it finished, but also realised not all shows can keep going on forever… So was happy to c both of them in differnt shows… And they both are such good actors, they can act well with anyone… My ppersonal preference is maneet vs rk/madhu or yash/arthi… But it is not to say those jodi’s werent good… They r after all actors, it is their job to make the chemistry work for the show… No ones personal preference can be above the others… Be loyal to vivian, i have no problem with that… But dont ridicule the rest of us…
Thats a very humble request personaly from me…

January 28, 06:58If anyone’s replacing Vivian, it has to be Gurmeet… Maneet rocked, set the screen on fire… I’d rather c Dhrashti with gurmeet than any other contender… Pls cv’s bring in gurmeet… As much as i love madhu & RK…. I still personally think maneet had the better chemistry… Will defneitly miss vivian, & gonna hope to c him soon in some other new fantastic show. I was thinking of quiting watching madhubala post leap, but will def continue if gurmeet stepped into play the lead… I don’t really like the new guy they’ve roped in…
So fingers crossed for gurmeet & dhrashti team again…
