Diya Aur Bati Hum to complete a year on 29th August

It’s time for Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya (Deepika Singh) to rejoice and distribute sweets all across the nation. Reason? Diya Aur Bati Hum, on Star Plus, is on its verge of completing one year of a successful run on 29 August. Hurray!!!

This flagship show, made under the banner of Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd, has maintained its number one position across the channel in the fiction genre so far. From day one, with its realistic characters and storyline, this show has been a winner. And why not? Characters, like Meenakshi, Bhabho, always added spice in the story.

Immediately, after launching Diya Aur Baati on Star Plus, the makers brought in shows like Punar Vivah, Kairi and Main Lakshmi Tere Angan Ki on various GECs. “It brings so much of pride to see your baby grow up into a mature and successful adult,” states producer Sumit Mittal.

On the other hand, adds Shashi Mittal,” There is nothing more gratifying for a writer than to see his dream getting this kind of viewer acceptance.”
