Diya Aur Baati Hum 3rd August 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Suraj giving the Teej gift to Sandhya and she accepts it. Bhabho calls Sandhya and says what if they cannot do Teej maata’s pooja here in Singapore, they can listen to the Teej maata story. Some people praise Mathie and she is proud. BhaSan sitting on the floor and Bhabho starts telling the story with “Teej maata ki jai.” People observe it and wonder what they are doing. Jayanth explains them that it is Teej festival and Indian women observe fasting for the long life of their husbands. They are surprised to hear this and say Indian women are selfless. Bhabhasa brings a plate of chocolates and tells Bhabho that he cannot bring sattu here but managed to bring these laddoos for her to break her fast and is suspicious whether Bhabho will have it. Bhabho accepts it and he feeds her. He gives the plate to Suraj and asks him to feed Sandhya. Suraj feeds those chocs to Sandhya. Bhabho and Sandhya get up and take blessings from their husbands. Brandon is moved by this and he invites them to the dance floor. Sandhya says they cannot dance. Suraj is denying but looks like he wants to dance. Bhabho scolds him that he wants to dance but denying it superficially and also asks whether he is expecting Sandhya to tell him and tells them to dance and she will sit in some corner and will not be watching them.

Suraj and Sandhya go to the dance floor. They both are hesitant how to follow the dance. The Chinese girl who helped them before guides them with dance. SurYa are having tough time with the steps. They stumble, fall and hit their foreheads. Suraj tells Sandhya that she has always taught him many things and because of her, he is in Singapore for the contest. Sandhya holds his hand and they dance again. Suraj observing other couples’ dance steps and following it. They are carrying it well but Sandhya falls while twirling. Suraj asks her if she is okay and she tells she might have sprained her ankle. Suraj carries her to the side and makes her sit in a chair. Suraj tends to her sprain. She seems to be in much pain. He tries to divert her attention by telling that she danced well but Sandhya says he danced well and Suraj says that she made him dance.

Meanwhile, Bhabho seems to be liking those chocs more and eating more and more. She asks Bhabhasa to get some more and he goes. Bhabho under the influence of alcohol is seeing three Bhabhasa and wondering the laddoo has made her eyesight sharper. Bhabhasa takes some more chocs while the WTC judge is explaining about those chocs to someone which Bhabhasa overhears. He gets suspicious and asks Jayant what they were telling. Jayant explains that these chocs have wine/sharab in them. Bhabhasa is terrified with this news.

In Pushkar, all are doing Teej pooja. Then, Meena takes the prasad bowl to Vikram and he feeds her. Chavvi takes it to Dilip who feeds her. Meena gives idea to Sudha to follow DDLJ style where Kajol acts losing consciousness and SRK gives her water in front of everyone. She takes the water to Vikram who makes her drink water with his hand. She then goes near RK and acts feeling giddy and falls on him who in turn stumble and fall forward thus touching the prasad bowl in Chathuri’s hand. Chathuri is excited and Sudha and Meena upset.

Precap: Intoxicated Bhabho tells Sandhya about how before SurYa marriage, she wanted a good DIL who would do all the house chores and all and if she had known the truth about Sandhya before marriage, she would not have gotten her married to Suraj. Sandhya is tearful.
