Diya Aur Baati Hum 27th August 2012 Written Update

Short Summary: Rathis return back home. Hanuman galli people give a grand welcome. Rathis discuss about spending the prize money. Ankur calls SurYa to wish and informs he is coming back to India shortly. Suraj’s photo and article published on front page. Collector calls them and informs of having arranged a function to honor Suraj.

Rathis return back to Pushkar. People of Hanuman galli welcome them with celebration. All praise Suraj and he says it is because of their wishes he could win. Bhabho and Daisa have their usual teases. Brandon asks Bhabho whether she is the friend whom Bhabho used to talk of. Daisa recognizes Brandon as the participant in the show and asks what he is telling. Bhabho tells her to feed laddoos to Brandon and Bhabhasa tells Daisa to welcome Bhabho with a hug.

On entering the house, Bhabhasa feels refreshed reaching home and wants to sleep on his cot in the aangan. Bhabho feels happy seeing her children in the home. She misses Chathuri who would be excited to wish Suraj and Meena is scared and worried. All the Rathi siblings are excited with happiness and wish Suraj, particularly Mohit and Chavvi. Chavvi offers to bring snacks and Bhabhasa teases her saying from when has she started doing housework.

Vikram is curious and asks which bag has the money and Suraj says it is a cheque. Vikram is surprised and about to say to remit it in his account as Suraj has no bank account but says Suraj has to open an account soon to get it encashed. Suraj admits saying Mohit will be helping him for that. Mohit says yes and then starts the discussion about spending the money. Sandhya and Meena serve snacks and tea. Bhabho asks Sandhya to sit down with her and have tea. Mohit wants a bike and Chavvi says they should buy a car. Vikram suggests buying land. Meena suggests gold. All three siblings argue supporting their ideas and Bhabho scolds them for always being behind money and no responsibilities. She asks Suraj about his plan. Suraj tells they have Chavvi’s marriage and other things and also an important expense and stops. All are surprised what is it and Bhabho asks him what. Suraj hesitates but then asks Sandhya to tell. Sandhya tells SurYa have thought of donating some money for the education of poor students. Bhabho taunts them for having planned themselves and asking namesake permission from Bhabho. SurYa are scared but then she admits it is a good thing and supports their decision saying God has given them this much money and it is good to donate for good causes. All are surpised by Bhabho’s answer, especially Meena. Bhabhasa is proud and says Suraj has proved that he is Bhabhasa’s son. Bhabho stares at him for some time, Bhabhasa is tense and then she says she would not say anything and allows him to be proud of Suraj.

Ankur calls from USA. Chavvi attends the call and calls SurYa. Ankur wishes Suraj and then says people there (in America) have not missed a single episode of the contest and are very proud of Suraj’s victory. He asks if Sandhya is there and Sandhya speaks to him. They both have a normal talk and Ankur reminds her of their father saying that Sandhya’s would-be husband would be a person who will be respected by everyone and today, it has come true. Sandhya asks about Ankita and he says she is in the hospital and they have all the facilities there but miss their homeland and is thinking of coming back to India shortly. Sandhya is happy hearing this.

They get another call and Vikram attends it. He informs them that Collector had called to tell them that a function has been arranged to celebrate Suraj’s victory in deputy superintendant of police’s presence. RK is shocked and Meena is scared of police.

Daisa and other women come to Rathis home playing music and dancing and Bhabho asks what. Daisa hugs her and tells that the other time she had come like this was to show Sandhya’s photo in the newspaper and now she has come to show Suraj’s photo in the newspaper and shows it. All are happy. Bhabho pauses for a moment and then both Sandhya and Bhabho hold the paper from Daisa. Bhabho gives a sherni look and tells she will see her son’s photo first and later Sandhya can. She takes the paper. Daisa and group leave from there saying they want to inform the whole mohalla. Brandon and Chotu go with them dancing.

Each of them have a look on the paper and Chavvi reads the title of the article. Bhabho gets emotional and says to Suraj that he has given them so much happiness and pride and blesses SurYa.

Precap: Suraj apologizes to Sandhya and tells today the whole family shared the happiness when Suraj’s photo was published on the newspaper but when Sandhya’s photo was published, she was left alone.
