Diya Aur Baati Hum 26th September 2012 Written Update

Suraj, after thrashing Rajkumar (RK) and giving him a piece of his mind, was taking him out from his hiding spot by grabbing him (by collar). While he tries to bring RK out, RK suddenly sees opportunity and takes out his gun (from his back). He is pointing his gun at Suraj’s head, and is contemplating to flee the spot. Suraj is in shock and awe, seeing RK targeting him to achieve success in his mission and tries hard to read RK’s mind. RK says he doesn’t take anyone’s advice or help to make his mission successful. He had spent 3 months about the plan. He further says Sandhya was acting as a thorn in his plan, working closely with police and even honey-trapped him but fate luckily stood by his side, and he was not caught during that mission. RK says Suraj ha unfortunately come in the way of his plan, and so he has no option but to kill him. He readies the revolver & pulls the trigger. Suraj fears for the worst.

A gun-shot is heard, Suraj closes his eyes, Bhabo screams Suraj.

It turned out that DSP had fired at RK to injure him, and in the process saved Suraj in the nick of time. Sandhya asks Suraj if he is okay and Suraj reassures her.
Everyone is relieved, especially Bhabo. Bhabo gives a piece of her mind to RK, gives RK the worst of curses and finally Suraj manages to control her.
Sandhya prevents RK from consuming cyanide, and hands him over to the police. Before going sarcastically asks Sandhya what’s the time now? A police officer says to RK that bad times are ahead of him Rk is lead away to jail by police jeep. Everyone is relieved & at peace now.

Brandon, roaming outside with the toy-car of Chotu, and seeing curiously at the alarm of metal detector door-frame.Sandhya comes and Brandon says to Sandhya that alarm went off when Chotu entered with toy car, but when he himself is entering with that, alarm is not going off.

Sandhya says Bhabo is calling for Puja, and they goes to attend the Aarti, Bhabo is brought to the Mandir(temple) where aarti is taking place by Suraj, and everyone is busy praying & chanting bhajan (govind bolo hari gopal bolo) Everyone is busy praying & Sandhya too joins. Bhabo & Suraj is praying intently

Sandhya connects everything–> Chotu’s alarm, RK’s words about time, Brandon’s doubt about the toy-car, Bhabo’s key ring flying & connects everything successfully. Watch is steadily moving towards 11:30 now, with Chotu very much inside the temple along with others. Chotu is standing exactly next to Suraj

Sandhya frantically searches for Chotu, and takes him out of the crowd and temple to a secluded area. Suraj searches for Chotu & Sandhya, and goes out too to find them.

Sandhya takes her hair clip and tries to see which part of Chotu’s coat has bomb, examining his coat closely & finally found that her clip is getting attracted to the front part of the coat (upper part) , so thinks of opening the coat, and remembers what the DSP said when bomb-diffusal squad was diffusing the bomb of Chaturi, and fears about the outcome.

Only 2 minutes left, when Sandhya manages to tear the coat and sees the bomb, contemplated on cutting a wire, but cannot decide which wire

Sandhya cuts red wire, & timer suddenly stops (at 1 minute) , but bomb is not diffused yet, it seems, it is still live, only the timer is inactive.

Sandhya breaks the news to Suraj & other family members (all have managed to reach there), about the 2nd bomb of RK, everyone is shocked. Chotu is very much frightened.

Sandhya tells everyone that bomb is diffused, and all are relieved. Chotu thinks about the outcome & cries, Suraj consoles him, gives him a warm hug. He tries to instill confidence in him by saying that Chotu plays with bomb & crackers during Diwali, so why he is so much afraid now, no one can harm his Chotu.

Bomb suddenly comes alive & timer is running yet again

19 seconds to go, Sandhya thinks of throwing the coat to a secluded spot, so runs with coat and looks for safe spot, Suraj following at her heels, but no close enough.

Sandhya comes to the edge of a cliff, and while trying to throw the coat deeper into the jungle, Sandhya’s feet slips, Suraj is on the spot and sees no one, suddenly bomb bursts, causing a huge ball of fire, shocking everyone even the police officers & DSP, apart from family members.

Sandy isn’t around, Suraj seems lost
