Diya Aur Baati Hum 25th June 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Sandhya holding Suraj’s hands and asking him how was the dream. Suraj is excited and tells her that he has always seen love for him in his parents’ eyes but never saw pride and happiness and that he is ready to participate in the contest. He asks her to teach him some basic English words.

Later in the night, both are sleeping on bed. Sandhya is having the same IPS dream where some criminals tease her and she is fighting with them. She is making dishyum dishyum in the air and Suraj gets up. He then wakes her up and asks what happened and gives her water to drink.

Morning, Suraj is practicing telling good morning and Sandhya sees him from behind (like Sandhya’s saree). He tells good maarning and Sandhya corrects his pronunciation, then he says it correct. Sandhya praises him for learning quickly. He says thank you. Bhabho shouts beendani, it is already morning and Sandhya goes down. She tells Suraj to come downstairs so that he can inform Bhabho and they can do other arrangements for the contest.

In the hall, Bhabhasa is teaching maths tables to Chotu. Vikram and mohit are sitting. Meena is grinding the chakki and grumbling as usual. Bhabhasa is waiting for his chai. Meena calls Chathuri to help in grinding as she is pregnant and not supposed to do hard work and her hands are paining. Chathuri offers to do but Bhabho stops her and tells Meena that elders have advised that pregnant women need to be active and not lazy. Meena starts grinding. Sandhya goes to Bhabho and Bhabho asks her to make tea for all. Sandhya tells Bhabho that they need to take Meenakshi to a doctor to which Bhabho agrees and asks whether she knows any doctor. Sandhya tells her about one doctor whom Ankita used to see and the address.

Suraj comes to the hall and says good morning to Chotu (I guess as I could not listen the voice properly from this part of the episode as there was some temple procession near our house). All are surprised. Chotu exclaims “Suraj and English,” sure he has learnt it from Sandhya bhabhi. Suraj goes and sits and calls Chotu by action. Chotu confuses Bhabhasa with some maths problem and goes to Suraj. Suraj asks him about where to buy trendy clothes and Chotu exclaims again and all turn towards Suraj including Sandhya and Bhabho and Suraj says he just asked. Then, he sees Mohit’s shoes at the corner and thinks he should buy one too. He then slowly walks up to there and sits near the shoes. Sandhya and Bhabho watch him. Then, he tries putting those shoes when Mohit comes there and tells something like it does not suit Suraj as he is not going to any office.

Just then, Chathuri comes there saying she found a book in the sweet box while cleaning and asks whose it is. It is the same Diabetes book and Suraj is shocked. Chathuri gives it to Chavvi who tells it is not hers, then Mohit and then finally Sandhya. During this, Suraj gets to know that it is a book on diabetes disease and doctors read this. Bhabho shouts at Chathuri for bringing in this useless issue in the morning and tells it must be Suraj’s as he might have brought it to make envelopes and tells her to give him. He feels broken and dejected learning about it. Sandhya serves tea to all and comes to Suraj and gives him tea. She forces him to talk to Bhabho but Suraj is not speaking and she herself says Bhabho that he wants to speak to her but Suraj says nothing. Sandhya is confused and sad.

Sandhya drying clothes (signature SurYa cloth-hanging scene), Suraj comes in between but Sandhya stops, turns the other side, splashes the water and hangs it to dry. Suraj tells her he knows she is sad because he did not talk to Bhabho. He shows her the Diabetes book and explains her when and how he bought the book and how he is discouraged now by his poor language skills and he is not confident to participate in the contest.

Precap: Bhabho is scolding Sandhya why she is so adamant and forcing him to participate in the contest. Sandhya asks her whether she is doubting her son’s skills and requests her for his sake to tell him to participate as Suraj would not refuse Bhabho.
