Diya Aur Baati Hum 22nd August 2012 Written Update

Mathie starts blaming Suraj and says he should be punished. She asks Suraj why did he do so?? just for winning the competition??? If he would have told her, she would have quit and made him win. Instead he cheated everyone, he has spoiled his country’s fame. Sandy interrupts saying a Indians respect honor more than money and a person like Suraj would never do such thing, he is innocent and she knows it well. Gary intervenes them and Mathie suggests police should be called and Suraj should be arrested. Bhabho-Bhabhasa worried and plead Gary that Suraj is innocent. Gary does not agree and reminds how Bhabho was trying to bribe him and now Suraj has done this. Sandhya comforts Bhabho saying she will prove Suraj is innocent and nothing will happen to him.

Gary and the other judge discuss and call police. Sandhya consoles Suraj that she knows he is innocent and will prove his innocence and asks him to describe in detail what happened. Suraj takes her to his table and explains everything to her. Sandhya leaves from there.

This news has been telecast in India and people are protesting against Suraj that he has defamed India’s name. Chotu says Suraj would never do such a thing.

Sandhya goes to the video person and asks his help. He plays the videos and Sandhya watches it keenly. She observes the bottle from which Suraj is pouring vinegar in Mathie’s dish. She then asks him to rewind and notices Mathie pouring her vinegar bottle in the sink. She asks him to give the copy of those video clippings to prove her husband is innocent. He hesitates a moment but then gives it.

Sandhya comes out with that tape (floppy). Mathie calls her to see her husband’s arrest. Sandhya says she knows Mathie is the culprit and warns her to accept her crime. Mathie asks for proof and Sandhya shows the tape. Mathie tries to snatch it from Sandhya and succeeds but is stopped by Jayant.

Jayant asks Mathie why did she do this and to admit her crime. She starts blaming him as he is the reason for this, if he had not given his laptop for Suraj while registering for WTC and during the non-veg fiasco, had he not supported Suraj, she would have won. She blames him that in spite of being her husband, he has always supported her opponents. Jayanth says he has always ignored her misdeeds but today he would not. He asks her to think over what would happen if her son knows this, would he be able to respect his mother? He asks her to admit her crime as whether she wins or loses WTC, but her son would be proud of his mother for being honest. Sandhya says to Mathie what else she needs as she would win her family’s respect if she accepts her mistake.

Police arrived and are about to arrest Suraj. Mathie tells them to stop and tells Suraj is innocent and he did not add wine to her dish. It was her who added it. Gary could not believe. He asks why did she do this. Mathie tells as she saw Suraj was doing some innovative dish, she felt insecure and did it to win the WTC at any cost. Gary says still he cannot agree as he himself saw Suraj adding wine to the dish.

Sandhya says she will prove it. She asks them to play the video again. It was from a different angle showing Suraj adding the vinegar while we could see Suraj’s table. She shows Gary that they could see Suraj’s table and the wine bottles on his tables are sealed. Then, she plays the other video and shows how Mathie created smoke, then dropped her vinegar bottle, etc. Finally, shows that the wine bottles on Suraj’s table had red seals and the vinegar bottle which Suraj added to Mathie’s dish had yellow seals so it was vinegar and not wine. Gary could not believe and wonders then how could the used and unused wine bottles got misplaced in the tables and Sandhya explains when Gary fell unconscious, Mathie exchanged them.

Gary wonders and praises Sandhya is a genius. He admits that they are the organizers, they arranged the cooking tables but could not notice these things as the seals on the bottle and Sandhya is very intelligent. The police officer who was there appreciates Sandhya acted like a true cop. Sandhya gets emotional.
