Diya Aur Baati Hum 21st December 2012 Written Update

Bhabhasa informs Bhabho about the alliance and tells they need to go the same evening to see the girl. Bhabho is shocked and they all go into the house to discuss this further. Bhabho tells who all will be going and asks them to call Mohit to which Bhabhasa says he already called Mohit. Chavvi wishes to go with them as she is the only daughter of the house and Meena also expresses her wish to meet her mother who resides in the next street to the girl’s house. Suraj thinking that he is not getting time to talk with Bhabho regarding Sandhya’s night college.

Mohit enters while the discussion is going on and everybody smirk seeing him. Mohit’s asks what is the matter as he had come from in between a meeting and his cellphone is ringing nonstop. Chavvi quips whether it is his girlfriend’s. Vikram informs him about the alliance and Mohit says he is not ready for the marriage as he still needs to get settled in life. Bhabho scolds him and Vikram says him to agree as the girl’s side has an established business. He agrees and all go to get ready.

Rathis reached near the girl’s house and Meena seeks Bhabho’s permission to go to her mayka and leaves. They reach the girl’s house. Door is locked. Bhabhasa knocks the door and waits. Meanwhile, Meena returns back saying her mother is not at home and pretends to stay outside until Rathis finish the bride seeing ritual. Bhabho taunts her and asks her to join them. The door is opened and they welcome the Rathis.

Rathis seated inside the hall and mutual introduction goes on. Vikram looking at the house and Chavvi whispers to him that the girl’s side people are quite heavier and what if the girl too is fat. Then, the girl enters with a tray of sweets and all are happy seeing the girl. Bhabho calls her to her side and asks some questions to know about her culinary skills and the girl passes her test. Bhabho praises her and the girl’s mother says that the girl has studied home science. Suddenly, Bhabho tells she does not want an educated bahu and she wants a bahu who could manage the house well. The girl’s mother explains Bhabho about home science and Bhabho is surprised to know this.

The girl looks at Mohit and is in thoughts. She is staring at him and Chavvi whispers this to Mohit who is again getting a call and he cuts it. The girt finally gets up and calls her mother inside. The girl’s mother excuses from others and they go in where the girl is telling something to her mother. They return back to the hall. The girl’s mother tells Bhabho that before they could proceed with the alliance, she wants to ask something from Mohit. She then asks Mohit that their daughter has seen him in Ajmer with some other girl. Mohit denies it. Bhabho gets up and says the girl’s side have insulted them and they all leave.

Outside on the road, Bhabho wants to confirm from Mohit that he is speaking truth. Mohit acts innocent saying it is false and only Bhabho has the right to decide his life. Bhabho agrees with him saying the girl whom she likes will only become the bahu and only she has the right to decide her sons’ lives and she has left her daughter’s life to her as she is anyhow going to other house. Suraj feeling guilty listening to Bhabho’s words.
