Diya Aur Baati Hum 20th June 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Juliana informing Sandy about the competition and gives details of registration and tells registration closes at 5 p.m. Sandhya is happy hearing this. She has flashbacks when Suraj sees her trophy and tells he too wished to win trophies like that. Sandy exclaims “Surajji, you have got a chance to win such trophy.” She sees Chathuri getting down the stairs and informs her that she will be back in 10 minutes and goes to the shop.

In the shop, Suraj is cutting green chillies and a person is asking Suraj what sweets he can eat during vrath days and Suraj is answering him. Sandy comes running and Suraj asks her what but that person is asking him several questions and Suraj answers him and asks which sweet he is going to buy but the person says he just wanted to know what sweets he can eat on vrath days and he will come back on his vrath day and get the sweets and goes from there. SurYa and Chotu laugh loudly. Then, Sandy sneezes and Suraj too sneezes and his hand touches his eyes and get irritated due to green chillies. Sandy asks him not to touch his eyes again with his hand and takes him to the side and washes his eyes with water and warns him to keep his hands away from eyes. She then gives warm compress with her pallu. Suraj is enjoying her attention and he fakes his other eye too irritating and she washes that eye and continues to compress it with her pallu. Chotu and Pappuda are watching it. Bhabho just comes there from mandir and is shocked thinking what is her beendani doing. Sandy notices Bhabho and stops. Bhabho comes to them and scolds them and asks what happened. Suraj and Sandy both at a time say it is their mistake and Bhabho scolds when Sandy is there, she will create trouble and tells them to come home.

In the hall, Bhabho scolds Sandy for being shameless. Sandy tries to tell Bhabho that she wanted to tell Suraj something important. Bhabho notices that papads are not there. Both Bhabho and Sandy ask each other where are the papads. Bhabho starts her taunting session saying she first ruined the vadiyas and now papads and how much effort she had in making them. She scolds her giving the example that she has heard there was a king who if touches anything, it would turn gold and here Sandy if touches even gold, it would turn into ashes. Suraj is hurt listening to this and Bhabho scolds him for standing there staring at his wife and tells him to go and wash his hands.

Vikram in the shop with two lady customers. They are not satisfied with the sarees and ask him to show something else. Meena comes there and convinces them in buying 2 sarees. She gives him the money but Vikram is still angry. She tries to convince him that she will not do anything like before and will only do what Vikram says but he does not buy it. His worker comes there and Vikram tells him to fold the sarees and to change new sarees to dolls. Meena tells she will take care of the dolls. She climbs on a chair and is trying to take the doll down with a stick. Some male customers come and Vikram is speaking to them near the shop door. Meena misses her balance and falls when Vikram catches her on time and scolds her to take care of her at least for baby’s sake and goes away. Meena tells to herself with this baby, she will set right everything.

Sandy is dressing herself in front of the mirror and thinking to tell Suraj about the competition soon. In the hall, Bhabho shouts and calls everybody that it is getting late. All come to the hall. She says all are in, so it is time to go to Daisa’s house for pooja. Vikram says Mohit will not come as he is in the office and so they can leave. Sandy stops them saying Meena is not there. Vikram tells it is okay but she says they have to go whole family and why to avoid Meena and let house matters be within the house. She goes and calls Meena. Meena comes there from the shop and acts innocent “why have you called me jethaniji, I am scared of you, etc.” Sandy tells her to come for the pooja. Meena tells if Bhabho tells her to come, she will come or else she will stay in the house. Both Vikram and Bhabho express their feelings mumbling. Bhabho then tells her if she wishes, she can come or else can stay in the house but if she comes with them, not to chitchat about the baby as elders say it is bad drishti for the baby. All leave and Meena thinks to herself she will get back her lost respect with this child.

They all go to Daisa house and sit in the pooja. Sandhya is watching Suraj thinking she has to inform Suraj soon. SurYa look at each other.
