Diya Aur Baati Hum 19th October 2012 Written Update

Bhabho is very angry. She is grating coconut in her room and has flashbacks of Suraj revealing Sandhya’s dreams. Meena peeps in there. She thinks to herself it is the right time to instigate Bhabho against Sandhya, else Bhabho would give in to Suraj’s wish to fulfill Sandhya’s dream. She enters the room and Bhabho senses her intentions and shoos her away.

While returning, Meena bumps into Chathuri and both have their usual nok-jhok ending in Chathuri asking for a good ghagra choli from Meena for Navrathri festival. In between their convo when Chathuri blackmails Meena, Bhabho comes there and Meena is shocked whether Bhabho heard them speaking but Bhabho is just angry and asks them to leave her way and goes to kitchen.

Sandhya in her room, very sad and keeping the books back from the shelf into the bag. She is having flashbacks of her parents’ words regarding her dream and Bhabho telling no to her dream. Just then, Suraj comes near the door and sees her. He thinks he has to speak to Bhabho again and convince her. Chotu calls him saying some customer has come to the shop and he goes from there.

In the shop, Suraj assures a customer that he would deliver sweets within an hour. He gets a call and he comes near their house window and attends it. Ankur on the other end asks him whether he spoke to Bhabho and did she agree. Suraj tells him he spoke but Bhabho did not agree. He convinces Ankur that these things are new to their house and he will speak to Bhabho again and also he believes Bhabho will agree. Ankur says that Suraj knows Bhabho well and if he believes in Bhabho, then everything will be alright.

Bhabho preparing prasad from the grated coconut. She is troubled and looking where she has kept badam. Meena watching Bhabho from distance looking for right time to instigate her against Sandhya. Suraj comes there, he understands Bhabho is looking for badam, finds it and brings it to her. Bhabho tells him to go from there. She tells him Sandhya has none of the qualities that she wanted in her bahu but she still accepted her and she does not want to talk anything and tells him to leave her alone. Suraj tells Bhabho that coconut and sugar are two different ingredients with different qualities, she cannot get oil from sugar and sweetness from coconut. He further states Bhabho has instilled halwai’s traits in him as it was the need of the hour and similarly Sandhya’s parents instilled different traits in her so Sandhya is very different from others. Bhabho has faced several hardships for the family and has always taken decisions that proved good for Suraj and the family. Now, Sandhya is also the member of the family and he believes whatever decision Bhabho takes regarding Sandhya’s education would be good and he would wait for that decision. He goes from there.

Meena watching all this is mocking Suraj and thinking what would happen to her if Sandhya becomes thanedaarni.

Bhabho in the kitchen having flashbacks of Sandhya fighting with the bull, fulfilling her punishment of filling water, DSP placing the cap on Sandhya’s head and appreciating her. She thinks Sandhya has all the qualities to become a police officer and if allowed, she will definitely become one but that is not what Bhabho wants for her halwai son. She also thinks today Suraj did not say anything but he will always have the thought that his wife’s dream is unfulfilled because of Bhabho so she needs to convince Sandhya herself to forget her dream. She goes to SurYa room.

Meena wants to follow Bhabho and know what she is up to but her saree gets stuck in a nail and gets torn. She is worried but still follows Bhabho.

Bhabho goes to SurYa room. She sees Sandhya ironing clothes. Bhabho asks why Sandhya has not switched on the fan in this hot weather. Sandhya says she is not feeling hot. Bhabho sees medicine on the desk and asks what happened. Sandhya says she had some headache so took pills. Bhabho is concerned for her and tells she will apply oil to head. Sandhya declines but Bhabho still takes the oil and closes the door. Meena standing there moves away and then returns to see the closed door. She is getting restless to know what Bhabho is speaking to Sandhya. She sits down near the door and trying to listen.

Bhabho makes Sandhya sit and applies oil while speaking to her. She tells every girl has dreams before marriage, some dream of getting married to rajkumar and some dream of living in a palace. She says she knows Sandhya is very different but once married all the girls leave their dreams back in their parents house and head towards reality. Sandhya has flashback of the ritual where she takes handful of rice and throws back towards parents house while moving away from house. Bhabho tells her women have big heart, they forget their dreams and adapt themselves to their in-laws house. She likes Sandhya for that as she too adapted well to their house, she is not an arrogant girl who would insist to study further. Sandhya is silent but shocked and understanding what Bhabho is hinting.

Precap: Bhabho continues advising and tells Sandhya that she wants a grandkid from her.
