Bhabo comes to courtyard and sees Sandhya about to break the coconut, shouts out Ruk Beedni in order to stop her.

But that was too late Sandhya managed to break the coconut exactly into two halves.

Bhabo asks Sandhya that who asked her to break the coconut.

Sandhya says that Bhabo asked her to complete the work in time, so she is doing just that.

Bhabo says she should have kept patience and wait for priests to come and break the coconut. Why she broke the coconut on her own.

Sandhya says what’s the big deal in breaking a coconut when it can save a lot of precious time

Meena comes and takes opportunity, says to Sandhya that though she may show sense and intelligence elsewhere, but she shouldn’t have done it as it is considered as inauspicious and only males can break the coconut.

Sandhya says why it is considered inauspicious as if one with firm and pure belief breaks a coconut, male or female, it will be auspicious, how comes the inauspicious scenario arises.
She further says in her house, it was she who always use to break the coconut

As expected, Bhabo stood up for traditional rituals, says men signifies strength and valor for a family, so from ages it is considered to be an auspicious thing to have males of the house breaking the coconut. Moreover, she adds that Sandhya should stop questioning these beliefs much and here Bhabo will decide how things will progress and she should keep that in mind from next time onwards. She further tells the Bahus (DILs) to take a backseat and watch the proceedings from a distance.

Vikram comes and says priests have arrived and so Bhabo tells that every female members should hide now and no one should come out while the priests are conducting the rituals.

Priests have now arrived and taken their respective positions. Bhabasa, Suraj and Meena are busy ushering them and getting them seated.

Sandhya sends a sms to Suraj that a hatchet (kulo) is precariously hanging and may fall on Priest’s head. Suraj reads the sms and removes that, thus an accident is averted.

Bhabo says Sandhya not to move here and there and bring the dried up clothes from the roof.

Sandhya goes to fetch that, and while she was busy ogling at Suraj, a sari of Sandhya falls due to excessive wind and it falls in the middle where priests are seated and having a meal.

The priests were very much furious and says they do not entertain anything of a lady, and so why now they have to witness something like this. They are furious and is leaving the Rathi house.

Suraj tries in vain to reason with them and make them stay, but they are adamant and is just going out

Sandhya from a partition, pleads with the brahmins to stay, and complete the rituals.

She says that they(Rathi family) had prepared for the puja since morning and it will be illogical for them to go away for such a flimsy reason.

The Brahmins says they are intelligent enough, and doesn’t need advice or Gyaans from a lady like her. They further says that till date they kept away from ladies but this sort of thing is really insulting for them.

Sandhya counters them and explains the reasons beautifully.

She says that though they are claiming that they stayed away from any touch of females but when they took birth, their mother bore them for 9 months and so they obviously had to depend on females right from birth. She goes on to add that with this logic and thinking, they should agree to complete the rituals and forgive her & her family for the mistake.

The brahmins sees reason in Sandhya’s words and comes back, and completes their meals.

Bhabo is very much relieved and thanks the lucky stars for that.

Meena is totally astonished to see the retreat of priests.

The meal is duly finished by priests and all other rituals were performed as well, like cloth gifting and doing pranams.

Before leaving, an elderly priests forecasts that Sandhya will dedicate her life to the service of Mother Earth and she will not be much efficient in the household.

Bhabo is shocked on hearing that.
