Part I
Keeping the three women hostage in a locked room and holding Komal in his grip, Viraaj warns Raghav to stay outside unless he wants to see his family’s dead bodies. He screams of how Raghav had lied and tricked him, and also tells him it’s all over. Gayathri and Tashu watch this in horror. Raghav instructs the lady cop not to move and moves towards the room. She asks him where he is going, he tells her that he has to save his family. The lady cop tries to dissuade him, but Raghav stays steadfast, telling her that as soon as he gets the women out of the room she is to make sure they are safely away from him. No matter what happens to him, they shouldn’t suffer, and once they are safe the police are to attack him as fiercely as possible.
Viraaj in the meantime is still making his threats to kill the women if the police don’t leave. The lady cop interrupts, telling Viraaj that they are leaving (The ladies at this point look horrified). The police force take several steps away from the door, slinking away to the corridor. Viraaj confirms this with his flashlight and goes close to the door with Komal in tow, while the other two women look on in despair. Raghav gets into the room through the window. Both Gayathri and Tanisha watch him sneak in in shock, but Raghav tells them to keep quiet (as if a murmur would emerged out of their taped mouths anyway! ).
From here on begins a very long, and incessantly repetitve, battle for holding the gun between Raghav and Viraaj — so I’ll just shorten up this bit and punctuate whatever portions are being repeated with ‘repetitive’ . The moment Viraaj senses Raghav behind him, Raghav manages to knock off the gun, get Komal out of Viraaj’s clutches, and holds him by the neck to prevent him from getting the gun. At the same time, Raghav shouts out to the police force to work on breaking the door open, which 5 of them do with the back of their guns (WTH???)
So the men repeatedly fight for the gun, the police repeatedly drum at the door as opposed to breaking it, the women repeatedly look worried, the men repeatedly tackle each other on the floor and then on the bed, the gun gets repeatedly pointed at either woman, until at some point the gun is flung out of either man’s reach, their masks are taken off and they settle for fists. Eventually Raghav manages to fling Viraaj off him and makes this the escape point for his family: he limps towards the door and begins to unlock it, but Viraaj emerges from the back of the bed and shoots Raghav. The cops break in, and Viraaj kicks Raghav on all his wounds to enhance the pain.
The lady cop tells Viraaj to leave Raghav, but Viraaj replies that he will do so only after Raghav has died completely. Raghav cries out that they shouldn’t listen to him, and that they should work on freeing the family, and then punish Viraaj. The police take off their gags and bounds and get the women out of the room. All three protest, worried as they are about Raghav. Gayathri refuses, telling them that she can’t leave her son in the condition he is in. The lady cop tries to reassure them, and fails, and Raghav shouts out to his mother that she must leave with Komal and Tashu. The police literally force the women out of the room.
It’s a full-moon night, and Sia is remembering her moments with Raghav as she returns. Set to the tune of Bhare Naina, this sequence shows her recalling all the times Raghav had protected her and encouraged her to live — including his admission of love for her, the hospital scene, the scene where he gives her his helmet, the Smile scene, the scene where she tells him to scold her and he argues that he can’t because she has taught him how to love, his giving her the wedding joda to take back to Manali, the photo scene, the address-giving scene and finally the phone call she made him after the dargah scene. Throughout this sequence Sia is shown to be still confused about her new-found feelings, and still grappling with the fact that she loves him.
Part II
Gayathri is still protesting against leaving Raghav alone with Viraaj. She fears that just about anything could happen to him. Komal, on the other hand, is eerily silent. As the lady cop beseeches Gayathri to trust them (I don’t blame Gayathri for refusing to do so!) and Gayathri screams that they don’t understand the gravity of the situation, Komal faints from the mounting stress. Gayathri seems this and rushes towards her, and along with the police team help her onto one of the sofas. Gayathri asks someone to bring water, which she uses to rouse her. The moment she does this Komal whimpers unconsciously, begging Viraaj to let them go. Gayathri shakes her and tells her that Viraaj isn’t there. She eventually forces Komal awake and tells her to calm herself.
Komal wakes up from her stupor, still shaken. Gayathri asks her if she is okay, and this leads to an outburst from Komal’s side. She tells Gayathri that she’s not fine, that this situation is way too much to handle, and they don’t deserve the treatment Viraaj is meting out to them. Sobbing, she tells the older woman that indirectly Sia is the cause for the devastation in their house and that Viraaj landed at their place because she ended up there. Gayathri attempts to reassure Komal that Viraaj should shoulder the blame for what happened, and that Sia had little to do with it. Komal then asks Gayathri why Krish had to be targetted: after all, he was just beginning to get out of the trauma of Dev’s death and the loss of his voice, when the kidnapping took place. She attributes this to Sia’s entry as well, and wonders whether Krish will ever get over all he has been through.
Gayathri contests this, stating that Sia had saved Krish in a number of ways as well, and that they should not drag her into this. Komal then states that though it is true, they cannot deny that what happened to Krish would never have happened if Viraaj wasn’t chasing Sia all the way to Gurgaon, and that she doesn’t want Krish’s emotional future to be riddled with issues. Gayathri tells her that she understands how Komal feels, that she herself will never let anything happen to this family, and asks Komal to trust her. She tells her that this is not the time to blame anyone for what has happened to them, and that as a woman she needs to give thought to another woman who is also suffering.
Part III
Gayathri emphasises on the need to stay united against Viraaj, to Komal. Komal cries that she can’t stay sane in an environment like this. She tells Gayathri that what happened to her was horrible, and that she never deserved it. She doesn’t have any problems with Sia either. But Komal is now in a situation where they have to two choices to make: one that would protect Sia and one that would protect the family. Komal says that she can’t help but be selfish in such a situation. She can’t help but hold Sia responsible for this.
On the other hand, Sia impatiently asks the driver how long it will take to return to the Singh house. The driver tells her they will reach there in a while.
Komal comes out of the house with Gayathri and Tashu, and seeing Krish she hugs him and asks him if he is hurt. Krish assures her that he is fine, and is more worried about her. He then hugs Gayathri, who asks him if he is okay, and then as Krish leaves she looks worriedly towards the window. Tashu sees this and realises what he mother is thinking, and cries on her shoulder.
Precap: Sia arrives at the Singh mansion as is shocked to see the Singh women out of the house, as well as the police force stationed outside. It’s when she asks them about their bruises that she realises in horror that Viraaj has reached the Singh house.
