CID 6th October 2012 Written Update

Room No .303

Scene 1
Blue Moon Hotel

Daya in formal shirt and pant with specs on, enters a hotel room with a boy who brings in his luggage. Daya pays him a nice tip and asks him to put the DND board before he leaves. After the boy was gone, Daya checks the room. He opens the balcony door, places a chair and climbs it up. He imagines how the deaths might have taken place from the same place.

Downstairs, Abhijeet and Freddy (in formal wear and moustache) are seen discussing about the case. Freddy suggests the possibility of an Aatma in the hotel room. WHile Abhijeet scolds him, they notice Daya standing on a chair in the balcony. They start panicing and run to Daya’s room immedietely. Daya tells them that he was just trying to analyse the deaths and not commiting any suicide himself. He shows Abhijeet how the people might have needed the chair in order to jump from the balcony and also show him the marks caused by the repeated use of chair near the wall.

Flashback – 1 day ago
CID Bureau

A lady tells the CID team that her daughter must have been murdered at the Blue Moon Hotel. She complaints that the Police in the Port Blair shut the case without investigating much at all. Even the hotel management did not cooperate with her in order to solve the mystery of her daughter’s death. Freddy brings in the details of the case and some related cases. He informs Abhijeet and Daya that a total of 9 deaths have occured and all from the balcony of the same hotel room. The lady informs the team that the two eye witnesses to the case Aman and Ishan did not cooperate much either and so she doubts their role as well.Freddy adds that all the deaths have been declared as Suicide cases by the police as in each case, the room was not shared by anyone apart from the victim; they were alone in the room. Furthermore, the deaths had taken place between 11 P.M. to 1 A.M. The team decides to investigate the matter.

Blue Moon Hotel

Daya says that the hotel staff seems to be act wierd whenever the mention of this room comes in.

Flashback
CID team comprising of Abhijeet, Daya, Freddy, Nikhil and Purvi (dressed in various avatars) check into the hotel as members of an NGO. They book their rooms for a week and somehow convince the hotel staff to give them rooms on the same floor as that of Room no.303 . Abhijeet is named as Paritosh and Daya as Sudarshan and the humour quotient increases with the use of shuddh Hindi during the conversation. Once the formalities are done, Abhijeet and Purvi search the room next to Room no.303, but find nothing.

Scene 2
Tea stall

Sachin and Vineet at a Tea stall. They meet the watchman of the hotel, who confirms that as per the hotel management and the Police, all the deaths were mere accidents or suicide cases and nothing else. On further interrogation, he tells them that Aman and Ishan were regular visitors of the hotel and they belonged to the same college nearby. He adds that the day of Rakshita’s death, Aman and Ishan were badly drunk and had a small argument with Rakshita as well.

Scene 3
Aman and Ishan’s College

Sachin and Vineet reach the canteen of the college where Aman and Ishan used to study. They look for the two of them and finally find them. In the meantime, Aman and Ishan were discussing about Vicky who was missing since 3 days and they had kept this fact hidden from everyone. Sachin asks them why they did not inform the police, to which they replied that they were scared.
After a bit of severe interrogation, they inform the team that Vicky was also with them in the hotel that night, but was badly drunk. When Rakshita had come to the hotel, she had a small issue with the receptionist and the manager, as she was denied of a room for which she had already paid for. After a lot of hesitation, the hotel management agreed to give her Room no. 303. Rakshita insulted Ishan, Aman and Vicky by saying that the hotel should not let such cheap people into their compounds. Vicky lost his self control and followed Rakshita to her room. Aman tried to stop him but lost sight of Vicky after sometime. While they were about to leave the hotel, the saw Rakshita fall off from her balcony and they guessed that Vicky might have commited the crime and thus kept quiet.They added that after the death of Rakshita, the hotel staff instantly took it for granted that it was just another suicide case like the past 8 deaths.

Scene 4
Blue Moon HOtel

Abhijeet and Daya having dinner, discussing about the case on one table and the rest sitting on another table. They discuss about Vicky’s involvement in the case and also wonder his whereabouts. Right then, two goons come in and start threatening Rehansh, the hotel owner for money. Abhijeet intervenes politely and asks them to calm down. The two men leave after giving their last warning. Abhijeet and Daya suggest that the murders could be because of the fact that the hotel was under a lot of credit !

Scene 5
Hotel

Daya enters his room, and sits on the bed. After sometime, he goes off to sleep. However, he starts feeling dizzy and starts viewing scary images. Images of scary men and women running towards him with axe to kill him. he screams in pain, asking for help and soon becomes unconscious.

We see Abhijeet and Freddy keeping an eye on the situation downstairs. Suddenly, they are shocked to see Daya standing on a chair on the balcony. They shout to stop Daya but he falls unconscious on the balcony railing. When the reach his room(opened with the master key that Nikhil had), he is made to rest on the bed. He keeps repeating the same words about being attacked by a group of scary men and women. The doctor is called. The doctor confirms that he has been given some kind of drug which has made him unconcsious. He gives him an injection and leaves. After sometime, Daya comes back to his senses and explains everyone what had happened. He however, had no idea what happened after he had lost his consciousness. Someone must have taken him to the balcony. Abhijeet wonders how that could be possible as Nikhil, who was kept to watch the entrance to Daya’s room, had seen no one entering the room. Also, they wonder how could Daya be possible injected with the drug as he had eaten nothing after he had entered the room. Suddenly, Daya notices the mosquito repellent machine placed on the switch board. He says he had not seen it before leaving the room for dinner and had neither asked anyone to put it. They predict that the drug entered the victim;’s body while breathing and thats why none of the previous victims showed symptom of any injection of drug. they decide to search the room once again.

Scene 6

In the meantime, Sachin and Vineet seacrh the hotel silently without coming in anyone;s notice. They find the laundry room locked. On asking, one of the hotel staff confirm that the room has been locked since the last three days as the door was jammed. After the hotel staff was gone, they break open the door and find Vicky’s dead body inside. Vineet informs Abhijeet.

Scene 7

Here, in Room No.303, Daya finds a projector in the room which was used to project 3D images of the scary men and women. Abhijeet finds a secret passageway to the room via the bathroom. When he is informed by Vineet about Vicky’s dead body, he asks him to wait there and the entire team leaves for the laundry room.

Scene 8
Laundry room

The Hotel staff is informed and called at the Laundry room. On seeing the dead body the hotel owner was about to inform the police when CID introduces themselves and explain the reason for their presence there. They find finger print marks on Vicky’s neck, made of grease and predict that the killer might have had repaired his own car or something before coming to the hotel and commiting the crime. Rehansh informs them that his car had a breakdown a day back and it was one of his staffs, Karan, who had repaired it. Karan was the same person, who was incharge of the laundry room. CID teams asks them to call Karan, but the receptionist says that he is not in the hotel. They suggest that Karan must be trying to leave the city but that would not be possible before next morning as Bus services being the olny means of transport there, starts only after 9 in the morning.

Scene 9

Daya Vineet Nik and Shreya in the qualis reach the bus stand to look for Karan. In the meantime,someone comes to visit Karan at the bus stand and informs him about CID’s advancements. He offers him to help him to save him from CID as Karan had been a loyal partner in his crime throughout. Karan agrees to go with him and leaves. When Daya and his team reach bus stand, they show Karan’s photo to various people but no one recognises him.
Here, the man whi had offered help to Karan, tries to kill him but Karan runs for his life. Before it was too late, Daya comes and saves Karan and then follows a chase behind the man.

Scene 10
Confession

Karan and the Manager of the hotel confess that it was they who had planned everything. The manager says that he is the real owner of the hotel as Rehansh had cheated the former’s father and acquired the hotel by fraud. Thus, in order to take revenge, he joined in as the manager and killed 9 people one after the other so that the hotel gets shut down. Karan has helped him throughout his crime. Daya gives the Phaansi dialogue.
