Rahasyamay Bullet I

A watchman of a building is shown. Suddenly he notices something and starts shouting. Then we see a man (Varun) standing on the terrace of a building who is about to jump. The watchman is yelling at him asking him to get down. Meanwhile people of the society also gather and start pleading Varun to get off the wall. Some people decide to go upstairs, but before they reach, Varun jumps.

Daya, Purvi and Vineet are shown investigating the spot. A girl tells Daya that Varun was not a resident of the society, but he often used to visit his Uncle and Aunty who lived there. Daya asks if they know about his death. The girls answers in assertive and tells that they might be reaching any time. Vineet shows Daya that there are wounds of a bullet on Varun’s body. Daya concludes, that as its a gunshot, this is a murder. He notices that his shirt pocket is torn which indicates that he must’ve indulged in a fight. Daya asks the people there if Varun’s pocket was torn in an attempt to save him from falling of if they’ve seen him quarrel with someone. They deny. Purvi wonders that Varun is shot dead, still how come no one saw him fighting with someone or anyone shooting him. People say that they saw Varun jumping off the terrace. And they are also shocked to learn that he was shot. Daya says that they’ve missed something and the murderer was present on the terrace but he succede in eloping without getting noticed. A man confirms that everything happened before them and no one other than Varun was present there at that time. Vineet tells Daya that there are no other injuries on the body barring the bullet wounds. Purvi says that the evidences and the story told by the eye witnesses contradict each other. Vineet says that the people wont be lying. Daya wonders why would someone shoot a man who is already about to commit suicide by jumping off the terrace. He says that they’ll surely get some clue on the terrace. They decide to investigate the terrace.

Daya and Vineet go to the terrace. They start examining when Daya notices a paper lying there. Its a bill of a diamond ring bought from a jwellery shop. They see Varun’s name on the bill and it also shows that Varun had received the delivery a day before. Daya says that the bill might have fallen when his pocket was torn. Vineet says that they didnt find any diamond ring while examining the body. Daya says that he might’ve bought it for someone else.

They go downstairs. Varun’s uncle and aunty are there. They say that Varun was their nephew, but he loved them like his own parents. Daya asks them if Varun was worried about something or do they suspect anyone. But they deny. Daya asks why did he go to the terrace, to which Varun’s uncle tells that they have no idea why he went there. He used to visit their place for breakfast and he should’ve been in his office at that time. He tells that he hadnd called Varun at that time. Daya shows them the bill and asks them if they know anything about the ring. They tell that Varun didnt tell them anything about it. Vineet asks that why Varun would’ve gone to the terrace at this time when he always came here during morning time for breakfast. Days says that it seems to be related to the ring. They decide to go to the jwellery shop for investigation.

Purvi, Vivek and Sachin go to the jwellery shop. Sachin shows the bill to the shop owner, Vivek asks him about the person who had bought that diamond ring. The owner checks the records and tells that it was a ladies ring. Sachin shows him Varun’s photo and asks him if same man had come to collect the ring. The shop owner confirms that it was the same man and probably he had bought that ring for his girlfriend. Sachin gets a call on his cell. Vivek asks if his girlfriend had come for trial. The man tells that he had come alone and probably he wanted to surprise her. Sachin finishes his phone call and informs that it was Shreya’s call and she had enquired at Varun’s office. He didnt have any quarrel or complications there which would’ve made him commit suicide. Purvi remarks that the reason for suicide must’ve been personal then. Vivek says that Varun’s girlfriend must be the sole reason for everything. They decide to enquire Varun’s uncle and aunty about it.
Freddy, Sachin and Rajat go enquire Varun’s uncle and aunty. Varun’s uncle tells that Varun didnt tell them about any girl. Rajat comments that Varun might’ve hidden the fact. His aunt wonders why would he do that because she always used to pester him for getting married. Freddy and Sachin remark that Varun’s uncle and aunty are also as cluless as they are.

In lab, Abhijeet, Daya and Rajat are there. Salunkhe is explaining Abhijeet about the wound. He tells that the hole formed by the bullet is a perforating hole. Such kind of hole is formed when the bullet comes out after perforating the body. He shows the wound on his back and tells that the bullet hit him on the back and it came out from the front side. Daya wonders why did someone shoot him on the back when he himself was going to commit suicide. Rajat asks Salunkhe abou the reddish grey ring formed around the wound on Varun’s back. Salunkhe explains that its called as entrance wound or abrasion wound. He tells that in such cases, the spot from where the bullet enters the body bleeds less as compared to the spot from where it comes out. Abhijeet asks about the gun used for the murder. Tarika informs thet some tests are to be done after which they’ll get to know about the gun. Daya is still wondering why did someone shoot the man who was already going to die. He discusses the same with Abhijeet.

In bureau, Abhijeet is enquiring the residents of the society. Shreya, Rajat and Freddy are also there. Abhijeet asks them if they are sure that when the murder happened, no one other that the society members (who went to the terrace) was present there. The man confirms that just two of them were present there. He says why will someone try to kill him when he was commiting a suicide. Rajat says they want to know the same. The man asks if they are suspecting them. Abhijeet asks him if he has any reason to kill Varun? The man says no. Abhijeet asks then why would they suspect them. He asks about Varun’s position when they reached terrace. They inform they Varun had jumped off before they reached and they didnt see anyone fleeing. Freddy asks that when Varun fell, where was he facing. The lady informs that he was facing them and his back was towards the building. Abhijeet says that its clear that the bullet was shot from same building.

Daya, Purvi and Vineet go to the building. Vineet informs that the distance of the building from the place is 100 m. Purvi says that according to Salunkhe sir, bullet was fired from same range. The secretary of housing society tells them that the residents of this building cant commit such a crime. Daya asks if he knows everyone personally. He tells he knows them. Daya asks that if he can guarantee that they havent done it. He says no. Daya chides him that you cant predict about anyone and that no one would tell before commiting a murder. Purvi tells him that they have proper information that bullet was fired from same place. Daya asks him if anyone had come to the terrace between 10 and 10:30. He tells that some people had come to check the water tank as there was some problem. Daya tells they want to meet those people. The people tell that they didnt even know Varun so why would they kill him. A man among them asks the secretary why didnt he call Ashok and that he was also present on the terrace with them. When Daya asks about Ashok, the secretary informs that he had gone to Ashok’s flat but he didnt open the door. They go to Ashok’s flat. They knock the door but no one answers. Daya asks the secretary to call Ashok on his phone. The phone rings inside the house. Daya concludes that Ashok is inside still he is not opening the door. He breaks open the door, and they find Ashok’s dead body lying there. They find wounds similar to Varun’s on Ashok’s body. Daya analyses that the bullet hit him in chest and came out from his back. They predict that the bullet was fired from outside. Daya orders Vineet and Purvi to search for the gun or bullet in the house. Daya observes the place and tells the people to go out. He closes the door and examines the wall. He finds the bullet struck in the wall. He pulls it out. He tells Vineet and Purvi that someone might have shot him from outside when he was standing infront of the window. The bullet after penetrating his body, escaped out and got struck in the wall. They observe that Ashok is also killed by the same manner as Varun. And conclude that the murderer might be the sme person. Purvi wonders that according to the enquiry, they didnt find any connection between both of them. She tells that its the fifth floor and after observing from the balcony, it seems that the bullet was fired from the building facing the balcony. That building happens to be the one where Varun’s uncle and aunty live.

Abhijeet enters the lab and Salunkhe points a gun at him. Abhijeet is astonished and asks him what he is doing and if he has ceased following the law. Daya, Rajat, Nikhil and Purvi are also present there. Salunkhe asks him if he is scared. He adds that its Abhijeet who always pulls his leg and now its his turn. Abhijeet tells him that he is free to pull his leg, but he is trying to kill him. Tarika tells that the gun has no bullets. Abhijeet thanks her saying that she saved his life. Then Abhijeet asks Salunkhe about the murders. Salunkhe informs that both of them were killed by same bullet. Daya wonders how it can be possible. Salunkhe shows them the graphics. (The graphics were great ) The graphics show a man jumping from terrace when he comes to the level of 3rd floor someone shoots him, and the bullet after hitting him, hits the man standing in the balcony and then gets struck in the wall. Rajat exclaims that its impossible. Abhijeet says that he has seen many good sharp shooters, but this task seems nearly impossible. Daya asks Salunkhe if the tests are correct. Salunkhe tells that all his tests are correct. Abhijeet asks if the gun used is same as the one shown by Salunkhe. Salunkhe tells that its the same model and that it can be used to kill an elephant. Its used for hunting. The gun is of 500 magnum. Daya observes that the barrel is large as compared to the gun due to which it has wide range. Salunkhe shows the bullet used in that gun and tells that it contains twice the amount of gun powder that is used in a normal gun. They decide to go back to the building.

Rajat, Freddy and Sachin go to Varun’s uncle’s house. Varun’s uncle and aunty ask if they found out the murderer. Rajat says yes and tells tham that its one of them. Sachin asks them why did they do it. Varun’s uncle gets infuriated and asks them to leave. Sachin tells him that they are performing their duty and they have the search warrant and asks them to cooperate. Rajat orders Sachin and Freddy to check the house. Rajat observes a hole in their window pane. He calls Sachin and shows him the hole. Rajat asks them how did the glass break. Varun’s uncles tells that it broke due to children’s cricket ball. Rajat questions him that when playground is behind their house and there is parking lot below their window, how can a ball hit the window. Meanwhile Freddy comes and shows the gun which he found in their house. Rajat asks the man to confess his crime. The man starts crying and says they didnt kill him. Rajat gives him last warning. The man tells that whatever happened that day, had happened unknowingly. They explain that they had bought that gun long ago and they always kept it empty. They didnt know that it was loaded. Varun’s aunty tells that when they used to quarrel, Varun’s uncle used that gun to scare her (When she knew there were no bullets why the hell did she feel scared?? )Varun’s uncle tells that he was just scaring his wife and he was also shocked when he pulled the trigger. Sachin asks about the people who knew about this gun. The man tells that his wife and Varun knew about it. Rajat asks about the people who visited their house before the murder. Varun’s aunty informs that Varun had come for breakfast and maid had come. Sachin asks if maid knew where they kept the gun. Varun’s aunt denies and tells that she hsd not even entered the room that day. Rajat asks if anyone else had gone to the room who might have loaded the gun. Varun’s uncle informs that cable operator had gone to the room when they were having breakfast. Freddy says that someone has taken advantage of Varun’s uncle’s habit of using empty gun to scare his wife. Rajat says that now he’ll have to pay for it.

Rajat and Shreya go to cable operator’s office. They ask about the person who had gone to KG housing society that day. The man informs that Kaku had gone there. Rajat asks where this Kaku is. The man tells that he left just now. He tells that he’s wearing white T-shirt and is carrying a black bag. They go out and spot Kaku. They start chasing him. Rajat grabs Kaku. Kaku starts shouting and asks Rajat to let him go. Rajat slaps him.

In confession room, Kaku accepts that he had loaded the gun. Abhijeet Freddy and Rajat are enquiring him. He tells that he had done it for money. Abhijeet asks who had paid him. He tells it was Varun. Rajat says that he must be lying. But Kaku tells that he is not and Varun had asked him to fill the gun while he was having breakfast with his uncle and aunty. Freddy wonders why Varun would’ve thought of killing his aunty. Rajat adds that when Varun himself was going to commit suicide, why did he plan for his aunty’s murder. Suddenly Abhijeet remembers that Varun’s shirt pocket was torn. They figure out that Varun must’ve fought with someone which made him commit suicide and at the same time Ashok along with other people had gone to check the water tank. So these people must have seen Varun fighting. They decide to enquire them.

In the society, Daya, Purvi and Vineet are enquiring the people. They ask them if they had seen something on the terrace. They tell they havent but Ashok might’ve seen something because he had gone there prior to them and it was ashok who had told them about the problem in water tank. Daya asks what Ashok was doing there. They inform that Ashok liked photography and he used to capture pictures from terrace. On that day he was doing the same. They go to Ashok’s house and start searching for camera. Daya finds the camera. They start seeing the photos. In one photo, they see Varun with some other person. When they zoom, they find it very shocking.

A house is shown where somebody is sleeping, while someone else is walking in the corridor. Someone calls out the sleeping girl (Ritu) and tells her that he is Varun. She asks who is there. The man says that he is Varun and that she loved him so he has come to take her with him. Ritu starts shouting. She runs downstairs and tells a man (Jay) that Varun is in her room. Jay tells her that it might be a dream and Varun is no more. Ritu insists that it was not a dream. Jay tells that he’ll bring water but Ritu asks him to stay. She says that he has come to take revenge for what she had done with him. Jay is assuring her that she was hallucinating when suddenly lights go off. Someone starts saying that I am alive. Jay observes a shadow on the window so he goes there and opens the window. Rajat jumps in. Lights turn on and Sachin, Purvi and Vivek are also there. Rajat asks them what had they done with Varun. Vivek asks if they killed just Varun or are there others also. They ask them to tell everything. Jay first denies but when they threaten them Ritu asks him to tell the truth. Jay tells that Varun’s uncle and aunty are very rich and they have more than 13 flats in Mumbai. Varun used to like ritu a lot so they decided to use Varun to get the property. He tells (Shown in flash back) that on that day when Ritu was talking with Jay about their plan, Varun heard their conversation. Varun got furious and he took Ritu to the spot from where he jumped. His pocket was torn when Ritu pulled his shirt while arguing. She told him that she was after his property and she left. Varun commited suicide after that. Ritu admits that she is responsible for Varun’s suicide but she never though he’ll commit suicide. Rajat orders Sachin to arrest them.
