CID 5th October 2012 Written Update

Khooni Drugs

A man (Tarun) is sitting in a room when his wife (Geeta) comes. She accuses him of spying on her. While they are arguing, suddenly she sees someone outside the window and starts shouting and she faints. Some neighbours gather hearing Geeta’s cry. They bring her back to senses. Geeta keeps on saying aatma and pointing out of the window. Its the terrace of a building nearby . Tarun suggests that they should talk to watchman and secretary and open the terrace door.
When they reach the terrace, the dont find anyone there. Tarun and Geeta again start arguing when a lady notices some blood stains on the wall. Geeta says that aatma killed someone. Tarun calls CID.

Daya, Freddy, Nikhil snd Shreya reach the spot. While they are inspecting the blood, Geeta tells them about the aatma. Daya asks wheather aatma carried any knife that it made someone bleed and comments that the blood is less which means the person must not’ve died. At that time Nikhil says that it might be the blood of a kid who might’ve come to play and got hurt (Now that was so stupid ). But the watchman says that how can a kid come there at night? (Watchman was smarter than Nikhil ) And no one comes there at night. Daya asks the watchman if he was sleeping. Watchman admits that he did sleep for few minutes. Secretary scolds him. Freddy starts talking about aatma, but Daya stops him and suggests that they should check all the flats in the society. As they start checking, Daya sees a flat with nameplate bearing a name ”Sumit”. He rings the bell but no one answers. Nikhil comes there and asks Daya about it. Daya tells him that the lights of this flat were on but they suddenly turned off. Daya opens the door and they get in. Freddy also joins them they start searching in the flat and find Sumit hiding under bed. Daya asks him to come out, but he doesnt listen. So Daya pulls him out. Sumit tells him that his leg is injured. They ask him why was he hiding. Sumit blurts out that he was afraid that they’d arrest him and tells that he’s innocent and asks them not to believe his wife. Freddy asks him whats the matter with his wife. He tells that his wife has falsely filed a case of dowry against him. Nikhil asks him if he had gone to terrace. He says that his leg is injured and how can he go. Nikhil says he might’ve usd lift. But then Daya says that the blood found on terrace is not related to Sumit. He asks Shreya to send the blood samples to forensic lab and to call Abhijeet.

A man, while coming out of his room is thinking, who could it be at such an odd hour. As he goes and opens the door, he sees that Abhijeet is there. Abhijeet introduces himself and asks if anyone is injured in his family. The man denies, but he says that his elder son Avinash is in hospital. Abhijeet informs him about the blood fuond on terrace. He calls his family. He intorduces Abhijeet to his wife Sushma and son Aman. They wonder where did the blood stains come from. Abhijeet asks them who’s the owner of flat no.601. The man tells that the flat belongs to him and he has rented it to two boys, Vishal and Rahul who are aspiring models. Abhijeet asks why is the flat locked then. To which he replies that the boys are out till late and come at any time and he also informs that he is troubled as they play loud music till late night night. His wife informs that they’ve given them notice and they are going to leave the flat on 3rd of next month. Abhijeet asks the man for keys of the flat. As they start investigating, Abhijeet finds a lot of blood on a mirror. Abhijeet asks about it to the owner and he tells that he knows nothing about it. Abhijeet asks if he had inquired well about the boys before giving the flat. The man says yes. Suddenly Nikhil calls out Abhijeet and shows him a pool of blood formed near a bottle in bedroom. The bottle is also stained with blood. Nikhil says that a fight may have caused the injury and hence the blood. But Abhijeet says that the way the blood is splattered, it seems that something else might’ve happened. He tells the owner of the flat to call Rahul and Vishal and asks him not tell them anything about the CID team. Meanwhile, Freddy notices a white powder on the floor. He discovers that its a drug. Abhijeet opens a drawer and they find large amount of drugs there. They predict that Rahul and Vishal might be selling those drugs. The owner of the flat comes and tells that Rahul and Vishal’s numbers are not reachable. Abhijeet asks him about the drugs but he tells that he doesnt know anything. Abhijeet asks Nikhil to take him to the Bureau.

In the bureau, Sachin, Nikhil and Freddy are interrogating the man (Rakesh). He tells that he doesnt know anything about the drugs and that he has landed in trouble because of those boys.
Abhijeet, Freddy, Sachin and Nikhil go to the forensic lab. Salunkhe pokes some fun at Freddy and then informs that the blood samples found in terrace and flat belong to two different people. He further informs that the blood didnt come from any injury and that it is because of bleeding while coughing. Tarika informs that they’ve saliva samples in the blood. Salunkhe also informs that they’ve found a dangerous drug in it. Suddenly Tarika faints and they all rush there. She gets back to senses after some water is sprinkled. Salunkhe tells that its the effect of same drug. Tarika says that she didnt wear the mask as she thought it was a small test. Abhijeet scolds her. Then Salunkhe tells that this drug Vaxterolsob (maybe.. I didnt listen the name properly) is very dangerous and causes death within 15 minutes if consumed. They predict that Vishal and Rahul must be dead by now. Salunkhe shows Abhijeet a small hole in the cap of the bottle they got in the flat. He tells that someone must’ve injected the drug in the bottle without breaking the seal and after drinking that water, Vishal and Rahul died within 15 minutes. Abhijeet wonders where are there bodies. He thinks they might be on terrace as they’ve checked the flat properly.

Daya, Freddy and Nikhil go to the terrace and start searching for the bodies. Nikhil finds a white cloth in the water tank. He says that it must be the same cloth in which the so called aatma was clad. Daya asks Nikhil to go inside and check. Nikhil find a corpse beneath the cloth. They take it out. Rakesh identifies the corpse to be Rahul’s. Meanwhile, Freddy finds Vishal’s corpse. They wonder why did the murderer hide the corpses at different places. Daya figures out that he might have failed to hide Vishal’s body in tank because Geeta might’ve seen him befor that. Shreya comes and informs Daya that Vishal and Rahul used to call some Ranjeet daily. She tells that Ranjeet is a famous drug peddler and visit Bagi Park daily.

In the park, Freddy, Abhijeet and Sachin are roaming in disguise. (this was great scene Abhijeet gets mms from Shreya which contains all the details about Ranjeet. Suddenly he asks Freddy if he wants to have idli. They go to an idli vendor. He turns out to be Ranjeet. Abhijeet nabs him and slaps him hard. Ranjeet says that he didnt kill Rahul and Vishal and that they also used to sell drugs like him. He tells that they were going to introduce some Brazilian drug in the market and they were going to experiment it on him. Abhijeet asks Ranjeet if he knows about clients of Rahul and Vishal.

In bureau, clients of Rahul and Vishal are gathered. They are college students. First they deny, but later they admit that they take drugs, and Rahul and Vishal used to provide drugs in the pretext of parties. Abhijeet asks them about Vaxterolsob, but they tell that they’ve heard of this drug for the first time and they’ve never taken this drug. Abhijeet asks them to leave and also warns them not to take drugs hereafter. He asks Ranjeet about the supplier of Vaxterolsob. He tells that his name is Monty, he is a businessman, but he is into drug dealing also.

Abhijeet, Sachin and Freddy go to Monty’s house. His servants tell that he is sleeping. They go to Monty’s room where they find him sleeping with a wine glass in his hand. They think that he slept while having alcohol. While trying to wake him up, Abhijeet spots some blood nezr his bed. They realise that someone has administered same drug to Monty through whisky.

In forensic lab, Salunkhe confirms that Monty also died due to same drug. He also tells that they found some traces of yellow ink in the whisky glass as well as Monty’s stomach. Salunkhe tells that the killer might’ve brought the drug in the bottle of yellow ink which might’ve caused the traces of ink to mix in the drug. He tells that this ink is mostly used in calligraphy and is available in very few shops. They go to the shop where the yellow in is sold to get the names and numbers of people who buy it. There they find something shocking. Sachin says that the culprit was infront of their eyes but they couldnt recognise him.

They go to Rakesh’s house and tell him that his son Aman in the murderer. Aman listens to their conversation and tries to flee. He tries to run away on his bike, but there is a dead end ahead. They catch him. Abhijeet slaps him.

In confession room, Aman tells that whatever he did was to avenge his brother Avinash’s condition. He tells that Rahul and Vishal had used Avinash for experimenting the drug because of which, he is lying in coma in the hospital. He tells that he killed Rahul and Vishal first and then he went to Monty’s place to ask for some donation, and mixed the drug in his whisky. Aman’s parents try to defend him saying that the people whom he killed were criminals, so why would they punish Aman. Abhijeet says that Aman has used wrongful ways to seek justice so his punishment would be decided by the court and probably it would be a death sentence.
