CID 19th August 2012 Written Update

Rahasyamay Hotel

Hotel:
CID team except for ACP Pradyuman is enjoying dinner at a hotel. They are pulling each other’s leg by playing a game of copy cat (I may not have got this name right) suggested by Purvi. Rajat starts the game by copying Abhijeet’s response in the Forensic lab. Nikhil copies Daya as usual. Freddy copies ACP and as he is into it, ACP comes to stand behind him. Oblivious to this he continues, but, realizes that all is not right and on Abhijeet’s signal sees ACP sir. ACP proclaims him to be the best amongst people who have mimicked him. He mentions that he was in a meeting with Chitrole and all are curious to know what it was all about. Dessert arrives and the men decline to have it. ACP preempts Abhijeet in paying the bill. The men leave as both the ladies tell that they would come later after finishing their dessert. Shreya gets a note on the tissue placed underneath her dessert cup as she finishes her dessert. A not by the waiter serving them asks them to help him and is signed Kishore.

Somewhere in the hotel:
The two girls are waiting for Kishore to turn up 15 minutes later as had been instructed. He is known to Shreya since their college days. Both the girls split up and start searching for Kishore. Purvi stumbles and finds Kishore’s unconscious form. Shreya searches for Purvi as well and dials her mobile as she doesn’t see her. The mobile rings and she follows the sound and reaches the mobile but Purvi is missing. As she picks up the phone, she notices blood marks of a body having been dragged on the ground.

Lobby:
All the hotel staff are ordered to stand in single file and Rajat is questioning themThe manager enters and requests the team not to spoil the reputation of his hotel by conducting the investigation in a manner that gets undue attention. ACP angrily tells him off by pointing out that the hotel will be closed till the investigations are complete. He further berates the man for not knowing how his waiter and a CID officer could vanish from the place without a trace.

Near blood mark:
Two waiters tell Daya and Shreya that they had seen Kishore standing at the very place where the blood marks were found around 12 midnight. When asked what they were doing at such a time, they inform Daya that they had come out to have a smoke away from all the guests. When they asked Kishore what he was doing out there, he had talked about too many things including the weather in a confusing manner. They had left him there and had returned to their duties.

Kishore’s house:
Abhijeet, Freddy and Sachin go to question Kishore’s parents. They are aghast at the isappearance of their son from his job. As they are talking another couple rush in calling for Kishore and Anusha.The couple tell Abhijeet that their daughter has gone missing. Kisore’s parents introduce them as the ir son’s girl friend’s parents. Anusha’s parents tell that Anusha had gone over to Sun and Rest Hotel (I may have misheard the name) to apply for a job and she had got it. But she never came back. Hearing this, Kishore’s father questions them why had they allowed their daughter to apply for a job there when Kishore had forbidden her to.

Back at the hotel:
The manager Harish informs the CID team that Anusha had been rejected.ACP wonders why she lied to her parents and demands to be given the CCTv footage of the fateful day.

Bureau:
Abhijeet, Freddy and Sachin watch the CCTv footage. They note that Anusha entered at halfpast 11 in the morning and left at 12. She is seen crying as she leaves.. They wonder where she vanished to. Dr. Salunke calls at that moment and tells Abhijeet who takes the call that the blood sample from the hotel is that of a man. Freddy seriously tells the other two that they need to investigate the history of the hotel to see if there had been any suicides. With a deadpan expression Abhijeet orders Sachin to call the hotel and tell tehm to open their hotel for public again as the case is closed. Sachin does as directed and plans are afoot.

Room:
Purvi regains consciousness and finds herself bound and gagged.. She sees Kishore on another bed on the floor and crawls to him and tries to revive him.. Nothing happens. As she is at it, she hears footsteps and quickly crawls back to her bed. Two strange men walk in and one gets a call. After he disconnects he tells the other man that CID has failed in solving the case as the case is closed and the hotel is open to guests again. They go to meet their boss.

Interview:
Shreya dressed as a girl looking for a job in the hotel gives he r resume to Harish.She calls herself Priya and tells the manager that it is her first time there and he could not have seen her earlier on his questioning about having seen her earlier. She does not get the job as a call comes to Harish saying that the job is to be given to the owner’s niece.

After the interview:
Shreya is waiting on the footpath outside the hotel. The CID team headed by Abhijeet is watching her from across the road in the white qualis. She goes missing as they are watching. They see a van having stopped by her and go in the direction of the hotel. Abhijeet, Nikhil and Vineet get out of the qualis and go to search for the van. They are told about another entry point behind the hotel. They see the van empty. A sweeper on being asked tells that two men took a laundry trolley inside. The three dash into the laundry room and search for the trolley. They get Shreya’s earring inside it after all the clothes are removed. Abhijeet moves the trolley in his hurry to search the place and notices a board on the floor right beneath the trolley. They see a staircase and go down. They enter a secret room and see that many people were kept prisoners there. Abhijeet notices light in a corner and goes to investigate it. It leads them out of the room to an abandoned building whose gates open on to the highway. He asks Sachin to get the watchman. The watchman tells that the gate is used by the manager Harish once every 15 days to transport some sacks. He also tells them that, that day he had left with two men and the sacks half an hour back. He couldn’t see anything as he went to have his tea break then.

Back at the hotel:
The team gets to the hotel and demands the whereabouts of the manager. The girl manning the reception desk informs them that he is not available even over the phone. The team tells her that the manager is the criminal. The owner rushes in and is shocked to know about the manager whom he had entrusted the entire hotel to. Abhijeet scolds him for doing this when he has known the man only for 6 months. The owner tells Abhijeet that Kishore’s reputation in the hotel industry is well known and he had worked at Great Rose for eight years. Abhijeet tells the team to find the reason why Harish changed his place of employment after 8 years (answer never revealed).

CID team headed by Daya starts monitoring the vehicle carrying Shreya. Sachin tells that they are 25 kms away from the vehicle.

Van:
Many girls are gagged and tied up insid ehte moving van. A man with a pistol is keeping an eye on the girls. Shreya wakens and looks around. She sees Purvi right beside her and covertly tries to jolt her awake. One of the girls on wakening starts screaming to be allowed to go home. All wake up one by one as the effect of the drug wares off. Harish orders them to be brought out and orders the vehicle to stop. All the girls are lined up and Shreya is recognized by Harish as she gets down as the CID officer and a bug is discovered on her. He pulls the 2 women officers to a side and gets ready to soot. A shot is heard.

Qualis:
Daya, Sachin and Rajat get down from the qualis and wonder where the vehicle is as the signal is still beeoing. They spread out and search and get the bug. They wonder about it when Rajat sees two sacks in the grass.

Falshback:
As the bullets are fired by Harish, two girls quickly dash towards the two lady officers and take the bullets. As they lay dying tthey request Purvi and Shreya to save the girls. Harish tells the men to get the two officers as two girls part of a consignment to be loaded on to a ship. Even though they are officers there is no difference between them and the girls he opines. As he is telling this Shreya quietly writes ship on one of the dead girl’s sleeve in blood.

Sacks:
The three men are concerned and tense about the identity of the dead bodies in the sacks. Daya opens the sack and finds two unknown girls(didn’t none of the girls have family reporting them a s missing to the police?) Daya notices SHIP on a sleeve and tells the other two that it is a case of girl trafficking.

At the water’s edge:
Daya, Sachin and Rajat arrive at the place where boats are kept and check. All the boats on the sands are found to be empty. Daya goes on to the bridge road to take a look and sees a boat with the girls tied up in it and being guarded by men. He radios to the other two. They too come up and see the scene and hatch a plan. Rajat is told by Daya to search for Harish. Daya and Sachin go to attack the men standing on watch. Sachin hits one and shoots another down. Thus alerted the other men come over to help their friends. Daya too fires and makes good use of his fists. After the men are all down, Daya and Sachin enter the boat from different sides and try to wake up the girls. As they are drugged they don’t wake up. Kishore too is found beside the girls. Daya tells Sachin to call for the Ambulance and they both bring the girls out and lay them beside each other on the sand. They notice that Purvi and Shreya are missing. Rajat rushes up and informs that Harish is missing. Daya looks up and notices both the lady officers standing still bound and gagged on the bridge road.

On the bridge:
Both the ladies frantically shake their head and wimper loudly to the three men coming towards them. Daya is alert seeing the panic on their faces and abruptly stops when he is too close to them. He sees the strong thread that is connected to a bomb on the side of the bridge. Harish comes up with a revolver in his hand and a remote in the other. He orders the three CID officers to put down their guns. The officers comply and Daya asks him the reason for such an unpardonable crime. Harish laughingly tells tha the does it for money as it is money that is vital to life. As he comes near the two ladies, answering Daya , he fails to see that Purvi and Shreya are not hysterical anymore. They are too calm for the situation they are in. The two women quickly hit his knees from behind in their gagged and bound state. He trips and falls at Daya’s feet. Daya tells him not to underestimate women and reminds him that women are worshipped as Goddesses in the country. He delivers his TM slap as the manager pleads for forgiveness.
