Scene 1
Nirja says Param, it’s bedtime. Meher says please come in. Nirja says Param will sleep with his nani. Param says I sleep with my mama. Nirja says I will tell you a story of rabbit and turtle. Param says I know that story already. Nirja says Param will sleep with us. Param says I will sleep here. Meher says auntie, why don’t you sleep here with him? please don’t say no. He takes time to adjust.

Avtar drinks. Sarab recalls what Nirja said. Sarab says I never forgot Simran. I can never. How did you come? Avtar says you know how emotional she is about Simran. I know you’re hurt by what she said. When you told us about your second marriage. Sarab told them he is marrying another girl so she can mother Sarab. Nirja was angry. She said Sarab wants a wife for

himself.

Scene 2
The next morning, Param wakes up. Avtar says good morning. Did you not sleep well? Param says I sleep with mama and wake up in papa’s room. I am confused. They fight a lot. Scene 3
Nirja’s lawyer says this isn’t enough evidence. We have to show that Param isn’t getting good care there. Avtar says Param would always take care of Param. Nirja says I don’t think she is taking care of Param. The lawyer says then we have to prove that in court. We will get his custody easily.
