Chaitanya Adib and Shweta Mahadik bag Colors’ Krishnadasi
Colors’ upcoming show Krishnadasi has been hitting headlines and is touted to be the next ‘biggie’ for the channel in the New Year!!
We, after reporting exclusively about Indira Krishnan, Chhavi Mittal, Uday Tikekar being part of the show, come up with more news on the show, being produced by South Indian producer Kutty Padmini and Optimystix.
Noted actors Shweta Mahadik and Chaitanya Adib have been roped in to play prime roles. While Chaitanya has been associated with Colors for a long time as Anandi’s father in Balika Vadhu, Shweta was last seen playing the role of Rasika in Balika Vadhu. Shweta was last in news for her maiden big screen venture, in the Marathi movie Lokmanya: Ek Yug Purush.
A reliable source tells us, “Chaitanya and Shweta will play the parents of the male lead, and son, daughter-in-law of the Thakur household, headed by Uday Tikekar’s character. Shweta will be seen as the dominating Thakurain, who will be envious towards Chhavi’s character.”
We tried calling Shweta and Chaitanya, but did not get through to them.
As we know, Sana Amin Sheikh will play the female protagonist in Krishnadasi, while the hunt for the male lead is still on…
