Calm before the storm: Shilpa Shinde case development

Actress Shilpa Shinde and her fight with producer Binaifer Kohli of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai and CINTAA had become the talk of the town. But now it seems the case has died down.

But is this the calm before a major storm?

Well, We were the first to inform readers about Shilpa Shinde quitting Bhabhiji. Later the problem got intensified with a disciplinary action being taken against the actress by Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA).

After, Bhabhiji found a new Angoori Bhabhi, Shilpa filed a complaint against CINTAA, FWICE and IFTPC for defamation, criminal conspiracy and extortion.

The industry bodies were to respond on the same in 15 days for further developments.

But now, we hear that Shilpa letting go off the entire fiasco has signed a non-fiction show. The actress will start shooting for the same from June.

When we contacted Shilpa, she shared, “The reply which was supposed to come within 15 days hasn’t come yet. I am working for a show, which no one can stop me from. I am letting go of the entire drama, but yes since I have not received my payment so I am going to fight for that.”

After talking to Shilpa, we called up Binaifer on the matter, she said, “I have paid her already. The non-directive action is still there and as this case is with the court, I really can’t comment on it.”

On the other hand, Dilip Pithwa, General Secretary, FWICE, commented, “The reply is in process, we will clear the matter by next week. If she does any shows, we will put a closure on it as the directive action is still valid.”

Sushant Singh, Chairman, CINTAA said, “We have sent our reply to her legal notice and the police complaint. Also we have lodged a defamation case against her for maligning CINTAA’s name and making flase allegations in media.”

We hope everything gets sorted out soon…
