Bigg Boss is now surviving only on Salman Khan’s shoulders – Ashutosh Kaushik
Ashutosh Kaushik grabbed all limelight when he won Roadies 5 and went on to repeat his success by winning Bigg Boss season 2. The guy is now busy concentrating on his movies, and has no mood to return to reality shows on TV. In addition to this, the Haryanvi boy has also taken part in Comedy Circus – Chinchpokli to China and Desi Girls (as guest).
Says Kaushik, “After having won two titles, I will only come back if there is something bigger in offer.
Having said this, I whole-heartedly accept that these two shows gave me my name. After winning Roadies 5, the youth knew me, and when Bigg Boss happened the entire family was aware of me.”
Talking about the current reality space, Ashutosh says, “Dance shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye are interesting concepts as they involve learning from a pro or dancing with your partner. However, I cannot dance as I have two left feet. Moreover, the problem with today’s dance shows is that they add lot of masala. At times, the creative team I guess gets confused in the kind of ‘spice’ they need to add to the show.”
The recent seasons of Bigg Boss has left a bad taste, is what Ashutosh feels. “After seeing characters like Raja Choudhary, Rahul Mahajan and Sambhavna Seth in previous seasons, the Bigg Boss house really needs to get more colourful housemates. This Colors’ show is surviving only on its host Salman Khan’s shoulders as of now. This is exactly what happened with the one-time cult show Roadies too.”
Ask him if Bigg Boss is a sure stepping stone to success and he avers, “It depends on luck and your hard work. Some of the contestants like Rakhi Sawant and Pravesh Rana have clicked.”
Well said, Ashutosh!!!
