Being my first daily show, my loyalty lies with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain: Samir Kochhar
Rajat Kapoor, the man who every woman would love to take back home, is back in Sony Entertainment Television’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (BALH) (Balaji Telefilms).
And apart from viewers, Samir Kochhar, the man who portrays the character is feeling happy about this comeback.
Talking to us, the actor who also has an awesome gift of gab, says, “Well, BALH is my first daily show and thus my loyalty lies with it. Hence when Ekta (Kapoor) called me to get back, I couldn’t say no. The team is like a family for me and I feel great being part of it again. Also, Sony is like a family and since there’s time for the IPL to get going, I jumped for the offer.”
So what all can people expect from Rajat’s comeback? “Well, although Rajat is shown as an hotelier, I think he has just left it all in Dubai for he will be back to Mumbai acting as a cupid once again (laughs). And this time, Rajat will be in a casual avatar and be a quite chilled-out man. He has learnt to live and will be seen spreading the same message to everyone around him,” avers Samir.
So will his entry act as a high point in the drama show? “On the contrary, it will tone it down. See the track had actually become quite melodramatic over the time. And this is when the creative felt that it was time to just mellow it down and bring in some light moments. And so after the cute bantering of Ram and Priya, Rajat will be there to bring them together.”
So how does it feel shooting with the team once again? “Oh, it’s just wonderful; I am getting to be with my thin friend Ram Kapoor (winks) once again. As for Sakshi (Tanwar), she is a sweetheart apart from Sumona (Chakraborty) and others. It has always been lovely being with them and I am getting to relive it all once again. The love is the same among the team and it feels great,” concludes Samir.
Well, even your fans must be feeling great with your comeback on the show.
