Scene 1:
Location: Soham’s residence
Rajji is tensed hearing bauji’s predictions and her descision thereof. simran tries to argue, but buaji reminds her that she was given one month to prove and that now only some hours are ledft, as when the moon rises, her departure would come too. She says that soham wont come. Rajji says that she too is waiting for the moon, to light up her life, as soham would come and break her fast too. Buaji leaves resignedly. rajji goes in the room, tensed. Simran comes and asks her not to worry as soham would definitely come, and that the lord would correct everything. She leaves, while rajji too prays to the lord, saying that she tried everything that she could and even what she couldnt, but soham didnt become hers, and now she doesnt know what to do, as if soham doesnt come today, all her efforts would be in vain, as she wont be able to do anything. She prays to the lord to correct everything, and get soham back in time, and mend her life.

While guggi tries to make his presence indiscreet, kuki comes and irritates him by reprimanding him for not caring for her, when she has fasted for him all day. Guggi is speechless, while kuki leaves in anger. angad comes and begins to tease him. gugi asks if and why are all girls are peculiar. angad gives him the lecture that not all people are alike. Gugi is unconvinced. Angad gets someone’s call, and gugi leaves from there, without eating anymore.

later, all are waiting for theb moon, while buaji and simran taunt angad about his hunger pains, yet his determination to break after the moon comes. While all are discussing, kuki announces that the moon has risen. they start preparing for the arti. Buaji gets her husband’s call, and she is excited, and asks kuki to light up her diya. she startsv talking on the phone, saying that she has kept the fast for her, and do so for years thereafter. rajji is in one corner tensed. Buaji gives her husband’s pic in kuki’s hands, to begin with the rituals of breaking the fast, while rajji watches anxiously. all start the seeing of the moon, through the sieve and then their better halves through it. They then move on to do the arti, and other rituals, while rajji stands helplessly. They then move on taking water, and then eating, and breaking the fast finally. Rajji prays to the lord to send soham somehow. rajji is sad, while all are enjoying.

Scene 2:
Location: On the bus
Bani and soham are seated. soham tells her that the bus is late but still there would be time. He tries to tell her that he’s doing it for her only. the conductor announces that the bus shall leave in two minutes. Bani remembers rajji’s plea, and an idea strikes her. she tries to be friends with soham, and asks him to get water before the bus leaves. soham complies. The conductor starts the bus, while soham is still taking water. soham is surprised and runs after it, but its too late and the bus speeds off, while he is running. He catches up with it though, but slips on the ground and misses it. Bani is inconsolable and in tears. basni apologises that she did this for rajji, and that she cant see her in pain. soham watches the bus go with bani in it.

In the bus, bani is still crying and distraught, while rajji too awaits soham’s return patiently. She is constantly praying to the lord, for soham to come.

Scene 3:
Location: Soham’s place
Buaji wakes her up, saying that one who is broken, cant mend another broken relation. buaji again reprimands her for being careless wife towards her husband, and start exercising her right on her husband, due to which he didnt come today even. Buaji tells rajji that one month is over and her time is over too. She says that soham didnt come, and hence she should pack her stuff and begin o move out of this house. rajji is distraught and through her eyes brim with tears, she sees someone’s shadow, and a flicker of hope simmers through her. The silhouette finally becomes clear and it turns out to be soham, much beyond her wildest hopes and happiness. Angad and simran are very happt too for soham. Rajji tells buaji that she knew that she wont have to go. Buaji thinks that rajji has gone mad. But she turns around and is shocked to find soham coming towards them. Rajji is happy beyond overwhelming imaginations. simran asks where was he, as rajji was waiting for so long. she asks him to first break rajji’s fast. soham stands stunned and speechless.

Scene 4:
Location: Bani’s place
Biji asks bani’s father and nirvel for food. But desho says that she would do it. biji says that she isnt that old yet that she cant do this. She wishes that her two granddaughters too should have been here. They wonder that they had to break the fast without their husbands. They wonder where they might be right now. Biji offers to serve food again. All are happy.

Scene 5:
Location: Soham’s place and on the road
Both rajji and bani prepare their plates for breaking the fast after the puja of the moon. While soham resignedly breaks rajji’s fast, while she is very happy to have him do this, bani sits on the floor with others, and breaks the fast herself, with teary eyes and parmeet’s photo in one hand, getting emotional at her distraught condition. bani prays that she wishes for parmeet’s health, and also that both the sisters’ marriage is saved. The screen freezes on Rajji’s happy and bani’s tensed face.

Precap: Rajji tells soham that if she hadnt gotten bani to agree that she goes alone and not take soham with her, then she definitely would have left this house with packed bags. Soham is angered and frustrated, and slaps rajji for doing this.
