Bade Achhe… is a miracle for me: Aashima Thappar
Shares Aashima, “I never thought that I would become an actor as I was always behind the camera. In fact, I was as an Assistant director (AD) and mostly attached to the creative department. It so happened that after I appeared for an audition at Balaji Telefilms, I got a call in a couple of days that they wanted me for Bade Acche Lagte Hain. All these happenings were a miracle to me. Just the thought of working with artistes like Sakshi Tanwar, Ram Kapoor and Samir Kocchar left me overjoyed.”
“The first time when I faced the camera, I was a little apprehensive but things went well and Sakshi ma’am appreciated my work. The day was a big day for me. It helped me in bonding with Ram Sir, Sakshi Ma’am and Samir Kochhar; they are always helpful and are like friends to me,” the actress observes, adding, “My parents also love watching my show.”
Talk about the little girl Pihu, the actress avers, “Well talking about my bonding with cute little Pihu, it’s amazing. Whenever she comes on the sets we both hang around. We are always together, often solving puzzles during free time. I help her in completing her homework.”
Differentiating her character to that of Cady, the character she plays, Ashima says, “Cady is very different while Aashima is more of a reserved person. I take time to open up and quite a simple person,” she concludes.
