Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya is about the beauty and innocence of first love – Producer Rajan Shahi
The talented show maker Rajan Shahi is back with a brand new offering, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya which will project the innocence of first love. The show being helmed by his Director’s Kut Production will be aired on Zee TV from 6 January.
We got into a freewheeling conversation with the producer, who has been successful with his shows Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Bidaai, Amrit Manthan and more. “I am really thankful to Zee TV to have me back.
It’s after 20 years that I am working with them, after having worked as an assistant director in their show Sailaab. And now as a producer I am a little nervous to get back. Having said this, I am equally confident that the show will do well,” avers Rajan.
Talking about the show the producer who will also be directing it shares, “Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya is about the beauty and innocence of first love and I really enjoying the experience of making the show. It will also have some more parallel stories running along and all have a separate feel and quality to it. The audiences will surely enjoy watching it.”
“Today, in our country love is a banned word in the family. I wanted to make a show which the whole family can watch together. Love should not be a taboo, rather the whole family should be able to sit and discuss about the feeling. A child should have the confidence to discuss the purity of love with his/her family and this show will teach the nation about closeness in a family where love is discussed openly,” he adds.
The show will mark the entry of newcomers Mishkat Varma and Kaanchi Singh along with the comeback of Reena Kapoor, Ashita Dhawan and Shailesh Gulabani. Speaking on the same he says, “There is a right mix of newcomers and veterans on the show and this adds to the quality. Some popular faces like Rajiv Verma, Reena and Ashita will be seen along with the newcomers. They will only add to the positivity of the show.”
Rajan is also known to be working with newcomers and on the same, he quips, “Their imperfection and vulnerability really interests me. And with this show we actually didn’t want polished actors but someone who had the raw appeal and could be moulded. Also they have this x-factor which is needed to make them stars; as for me I love working with newcomers. They make me feel zero and help me reinvent myself along the way, so it is kind of an evolving process for me too.”
The producer also seems to have a fascination for Rajasthan, with his recent shows based out there.
Commenting on it he says, “I really love the culture of that place and I love the city. The heritage and tradition of that place is really intriguing and it helps us build real characters around all the drama.”
And finally we ask him the secret behind the title of the show, to which Rajan laughs, “When I had just come to Mumbai, me and a good friend shared an apartment and we both were in love with this song and would spend hours listening to it. So it has a very special memory within me and my perception to love (that may be my love story or love stories of people around me) will be highlighted through this show.”
Spread the love around, Rajan!!!
