The episode starts with British officer pulling off Dayal’s dhoti. Dayal stands feeling humiliated, covering his modesty with a book. Atal recalls advocating wearing dhoti in school to follow their traditions. He picks Dayal’s dhoti and returns it to him. Principal gets angry on Atal for coming out of class midway. Atal chants a sanskrit shloka and explains it’s meaning that when god and guru/teacher stand together, they should greet teacher first as a teacher gives them knowledge. Dayal apologizes principal and says he will be careful from tomorrow.
Atal requests principal to let even Hindi medium student participate in school’s annual day function. Krishna Vajpayee rushes to them and request to ignore Atal. British officer says let Hindi medium students participate in the competition and know how English medium students are much superior than them. Principal permits Atal and sends him in. British officer says he wants to see Indian students being humiliated and know their place. Krishna asks Atal why did he do that. Atal says let British know about their culture and talent.
An English medium student informs his classmates that even Hindi medium students will participate in annual day function under Atal’s supervision. English students threaten Hindi medium students not to participate. Atal walks to his classmates and asks them to join him. They all refuse to join him. English students laugh on Atal. Atal says there is one person who will support him though.
Dayal returns home and vents out his anger on his wife Kamini. She rushes to him and asks what happened. He asks her to go and get water for him and recalls British officer humiliating him. Tomar walks to him and asks what happened to him. Dayal says he is dreaming of becoming vice principal and didn’t realize that he needs to follow British rules. His wife offers him water. He says he was humiliated in school today and his dhoti was pulled off. He orders his wife to bring a tailor, he wants to wear an English suit for the annual function. Dadaji passes by and asks him why did he return from school so early. Dayal taunts him that he is not salary-less like Krishna who must have gone somewhere to take loan and not yet returned home.
Atal returns home and notices Dayal giving measurement to tailor. He walks to Dayal and asks what is he doing. Dayal asks him to go away. Tailor says Dayal is getting pant shirt stitched. Atal asks Dayal not to do this and humiliate their culture.
Precap: Krishna maa asks Atal what will he do in school. Atal says he will write poems and make his father proud of him. Krishna Vajpayee seeing his cycle chain broken says he will fix it on the way.
Tomar taunts him that he doesn’t have money to fix cycle chain and hence is lying.
