Arjun Bijlani all set to beat the sh ** out of bad guys in Star Plus’ Kaali
We were the first news and entertainment portal that flashed the info of hot and handsome Arjun Bijlani being roped in to play a pivotal role in Star Plus’ Kaali (Shakuntalam Telefilms). And the actor is super excited given his entry which will hit the screens this Wednesday. He will be the support of Vaani and her daughter Pankhi in their fight against the corrupt establishment to get justice for the murder of her son Nimai.
“My character Dev is just like a ‘I care a damn’ north Indian dude, he will help the good and really go after the bad guys. This is something what I have not done before,” shares Arjun.
Arjun whose last full fledged show was Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna says, “I regard doing this character as part of my bit in the ongoing real life battle against women exploitation.”
“The shameful Delhi grape case has embarrassed me. What really makes it worse is that the cops instead of encouraging women to go out are telling them that immediately go home after college or work. If not… they are not responsible for what happens. Are we living in a democracy? Ideally the cops should tell a woman to do what you want. If you want to take a drink on the way back please feel free, we are there to protect you.”
This cool lad who will soon be seen in Punjabi film Full Fukre, further feels “that the attitude of the police needs a complete overhaul.”
“We all know how difficult it is to file an FIR, so think how a rape victim will feel when she approaches her local thana with her complaint.”
In closing he says, “It really saddens me to note that the current situation in the county is such that there is no fear of punishment, whenever any law is enacted, the crooks rather than fearing for themselves easily find ways and means to simply sidestep the rule book. A full scale change of the system is the need of the hour. And I am of the firm belief that the current protests will not rest till we achieve our ends.”
Well said, Arjun!!!
