Arjun 5th May 2013 Written Episode

A lonely forest road.A man gets down from a vehicle to relieve himself & finds a dead body.His friend calls the ETF.

ETF arrives led by ACP Rathore.They perform the scanning of the crime scene. The dead man is identified as Arunpal. .Arjun remembers the name from somewhere.Sakshi says he is a crime reporter who a year back was about to expose a leading builder of the city for having underworld connections.He was about to expose him on a TV channel when all the evidence of the expose got stolen.His mobile phone keeps ringing as some Suhas continuously calls him.Rathore attends the call & identifies himself.He informs him of Arun’s death.Suhas expresses shock & says he was scheduled to meet Arun at 9 that night.Rathore tells him he will have to come for enquiry.Sakshi then reveals that it was Suhas’s TV channel that was going to expose the builder RK.Arjun processes all this info in his mind.

Rathore & Ayesha go to Arun’s house to meet his wife.The lady tearfully tells them she knew her husband’s life was in danger as per a Baba’s prediction.Both Ash & Rathore are surprised.There is a flashback of a Baba appearing on a TV show where he speaks live on phone with people & solve their problems.His name is Swami Vishvanand.The wife calls him on his show & gives her husband’s name & birthdate & asks for a solution for his constant tensed state.The Baba tells her that her husband is going to die.The wife starts bawling & the husband comes running out.He snatches the phone from her & screams at the baba to stop this fakeness & fooling people.He slams the phone down & tells his wife to keep away from the likes of him.He says he isnt in any trouble.If anything it was the Baba who will land in hot soup soon.

Rathore & Ash ask to see the man’s work room.Rathore gets some more details from the wife.She mentions that Arun suspected Suhas the channel owner of selling his expose evidence to RK builders.Ash is unable to open the hard disk of the computer so decides to take it back with her to the office.She then takes pictures of the rooms.Rathore notices a member ship card of the Ashram where Swami resides.He asks the wife about it.She says she had forced her husband to visit the baba as he was depressed after they had lost everything in a defamation case filed by RK Builders when Arun failed to expose him.

Suhas is interrogated by Arjun & Rathore at length.He claims he was not the one to sell out Arun.He says he too received threats from RK & was in touch in that regards.He says he spoke with Arun only recently after months of silence.He talked of another big expose.

At the ETF office the members brainstorm.Arjun is of the opinion that Arun was on a verge of another expose & was murdered to silence him.Shree says he couldn’t find anything in the computers Ash brought back.He then shows Rathore the last call Arun received.It was from someone called Ganika.Rathore is shocked as it is the same number printed on the Ashram member card.He divides the team.He says he, Shree, & Ash will meet with RK & Arjun & Chotu should go interview the Swami.

At the Ashram Baba Vishwanand is holding court with a crowd of devotees. The baba’s sentries don’t allow Arjun into the ashram but the baba intervenes & welcomes them in.He says he will provide all sorts of cooperation to ETF.Arjun asks him about Arun & informs him that a ganeeka was in touch with Arun.A group of Ganeekas or female devotees are brought out & are shown a picture of Arun.Nobody knows him.
Arjun says he will be back with more questions.Swami says he is always welcome.

Rathore is interviewing the builder & accuses him of murdering Arun.The man denies any wrong doing & denies also that he is in touch with Suhas.But Ash notices that Suhas is calling RK on his mobile.She texts Shree who is standing nearby that something is wrong & he should plant a microphone in the office to monitor RK’s calls.SHree texts back saying he does not carry microchips in his pocket.Ash again texts that he is techie & should find a way.Shree asks for her phone, synchronises it with his own & plants it in a paper in basket. Ash whispers to Rathore that Suhas has been calling RK & Rathore says keep an eye on him.

ETF again in the office brainstorming.They listen in on the convo between Suhas & RK where Suhas is demanding Rs 10 crore to hand over the evidence.Rathore decided to catch them red handed.He reaches the spot where money & evidence are to be exchanged & arrests Suhas & RK.He accuses them of murdering Arun as he was about to expose RK for a second time.But Suhas says this evidence is from a year back.He does not know of any new evidence collected by Arun.Shree checks & confirms his claim.

Arjun says there was something Arun was about to expose & wonders where he could have hidden the material for that expose.He mulls if there were more people who knew about.Sakshi suggests that maybe he spoke to other crime reporters.Arjun asks her to check with her sources.She complains that he is not motivating his team to their job.Arjun is shocked when she pulls & paws his hand saying this is how one should encourage.The other members find all this very amusing.

She goes off on her bike somewhere & returns with a vada pau & informs that Arun did not share his story with anyone.Shree says it was Ash’s idea to plant the phone in RK’s office & Rathore looks proudly at her.

Arjun says the reporter must have had a back up somewhere.He asks to check the things collected at Arun’s house & notices three watches of the same brand.He tries to dismantle it but Shree offers to check it out.He says its not a watch but a Data Pod.Its minute data storage device.He connects it to his computer & finds a report prepared by Arun.

The report exposes in detail of how Baba Vishwanand is running a sex racket inside his ashram.He rapes women who come to see him in the ashram after intoxicating them.He claims he is cleansing them.One such exploited woman is helping Arun to expose the baba.She is the ganeeka who was in contact with Arun.The entire team is disgusted at hearing the sordid details of the baba’s antics.

The baba orders the girl to be found & killed.

Arjun again goes to the ashram & is stopped by the sentries.This time the baba is not so welcoming & says he might not allow them inside.Arjun says he wants to meet the women devotees & if the baba stops him he has other ways. ETF is led into the room where the women are housed.They look scared. Arjun counts the beds there are six but only five women.He asks where is the sixth one. The women become more nervous & one says she has gone to her relative’s house. Arjun notices her bag still under her bed.He orders Chotu to search the room but he finds nothing.Then one of women signs to Arjun showing six fingers & points to a fuse box which has danger sign on it.Arjun’s understands that the sixth ganeeka is the one he is looking for & she is in danger.The baba comes there & taunts if they found anything.Arjun says he is lucky they didnt find anything & leaves.

ETF office & Arjun asks to see the report prepared by Arun exposing the baba ,Arun has in detail mentioned the topography of a land where he regualrly met the Ganeka.Arjun deduces that he meant a particular locality in Mumbai & is sure the girl is hiding there.He arrives with Chotu & enquires for her.He is informed that a couple of constables just went that way.Arjun rushes there.

Two constables who are actually the ashram goons knock on the door of a house.The girl first peeks out of the window & seeing a couple of uniforms open the door relieved.One of the goon fires at her but misses thanks to Arjun firing his gun first.There is a chase where Arjun shoots down one goon & the other is captured.In between Sakshi manages to land herself in the path of a bullet but is saved by Arjun.She hangs onto him & gives a lovey dovey look to him.

The whole ETF lands to arrest the baba but are made to back off by the protesting people.The girl now takes charge & exposes the baba.She leads everyone into one of the rooms where the Baba under the guise of cleansing a woman is seen having sex.The girl slaps him & the people are outraged.

Rathore lectures the crowd about blindly trusting these fake godmen who fool them in the name of religion.

Sakshi is typing out her day’s report.Shree & Chotu are playing a game of snooker.Rathore &Ash are out on a dinner date. Arjun is on some seaside pier staing into the sea.Episode ends!
