Arjun 26th August 2012 Written Update by Naina
The episode opens with us seeing some guy running away, through a forest of sorts, keeping on looking back as if someone was chasing him, until he falls?
We then see the scene shift where Chotu is exercising and Shree is sitting on his back, watching tv In the news, the reporter is saying how the search is on for a 14 year old boy who killed his parents and sat besides the dead bodies playing a computer game. Right then, Rathore comes there and shuts the TV off saying that they have to go to Panchgani to find a missing boy. 14 years old, studies at JP International School – his name is Kapil. When the parents were called they said they were in the US, and now it’s time they head there.
A teacher of the school says that Kapil was a very straighforward kind of guy and he has to remain within the school grounds. When Rathore questions why, he explains that it’s because there’s only 2 main exits at which guards are posted 24/7 and the rest is fenced off or something. But they searched for Kapil everywhere and didn’t find him.
The ETF head into the bedroom where the teacher tells them the only thing missing is his badminton racket. Right then, the principal of the school comes there, Mr. Jayprakash Dandey – who says that they’re all really worried and that the students won’t be able to concentrate on their final exams next week. And they have final exams then because they follow another curriculum. Kapil’s best friends are Lokesh, Varun and Anna, and the ETF is told they can meet them during recess.
Later, the ETF speaks with the three best friends, and ask them to tell them everything they know about Kapil. And they explain that Kapil got into a fight in the morning the day before. When some boys (Rajat and Lenold) tease Anna, Kapil yells out at them to stop, and they begin to fight with him, and hurt him. Right then, the teacher comes there and tells them to stop, seemingly blaming Kapil for the fight. And that’s the end of the story. The ETF tells the two guys to leave and speaks with Anna for a second before telling Shree some specific work.
Shree is searching through Rajat’s bed and his stuf and finally finds some pictures. Arjun shows those pictures to Rathore – and we see that in those pictures, which are class pictures, Kapil’s face is scratched off. The ETF teams concludes that Rajat likes Anna, but he would be jealous that Anna and Kapil were really close friends.
THe boys are playing soccer and the ETF goes there telling Rajat and Lennox that they need to speak to them howeever the boys respond really rudely, saying that they don’t have time then and go away. Arjun gets really angry and then stomps the football, flattening it, scaring the two out of their wits. Arjun angrily says that he hates two things, the wrong attitude and the wrong answer, and asks the boys about Kapil’s disappearance, but they repeatedly say they didn’t do anything even after Arjun shows them the class picture. Rathore tells Arjun to speak more calmly with the kids, they’re not criminals and Rathore responds that he did do that. If they had been criminals, he would have punctured their heads.
Arjun and Chotu are looking through the case when someone comes running towards them saying that someone spotted Kapil and there are guys beating him up. Arjun and Chottu take off running through the forest, and Chottu falls into a trap of leaves. As Arjun helps him out, we see Rajat and Lenold laughing at the two of them, telling them that this is their area and they rule here.
Rathore is getting really angry hearing what happened, saying they’re less kids, more goons. Shree says that it would have been good if they had cameras/surveillance in the school like they should have or some kind of person with three eys And Arjun takes this seriously and says that’s exactly what we need.
Later on, there’s some baba entering the class filled with the students. Arjun explains to the kids that this baba will help in figuring out who has a hand in Kapil’s disappearance. Rajat and lenold make some snide comments, and Arjun says they’ll try a little test before. And there’s some things which are how much money a person has, what page has something etc and the kids are awed. Arjun says everyone has to write their name on a piece of paper and put it in a box and then the baba will decide the final answer. Arjun watches them closely and once everynoe is done, asks Shree to write their names on the blackboard. Lenold and Rajat are looking really wary and anxious as they see this happening.
And right then we see Arjun circle 4 names on the blackboard, which are repeats. It’s clear thent hat someone wrote two other peoples names instead of their own, and because the two names missing are Lenold and Rajat, it’s them.
The principal and ETF team talk to the two boys, telling them to come out with the truth but they refuse to speak. Rathore then mentions the juvenile detention center, how family reputations will be ruined, etc and the two boys grow more and more scared, until finally they say that they didn’t do absolutely anything. As Kapil was going to badminton game, they beat him up and he ran towards the staff quarters.
A staff meeting is called, and they ask them if any of them say Kapil. All of them deny it, and then we find that one teacher is missing – Rakesh, and no one has seen him since before dinner the night before. The ETF team goes to search his room, and notice that his wallet and phone and newspaper are all around there and he hasn’t been into the room since. They also find leaked exam papers and take it to the principal – Mr. Danvi. As they go, they see Bansi, a gardner leaving, saying he needs sometime off. When they show the principal the leaked exam papers, he’s shocked and Arjun gets thinking.
That night, Arjun is walking around, sensing something is wrong, when he hears some noise and heads over to the top of the building and all around, trying to search for it. And finally makes his way to the classroom, but on not seeing anything anywhere, heads out.
Next morning, Arjun goes for a run while the kids are saying their morning prayers and poems etc. He notices Anna putting some letters on the board and goes over to ask her about some missing letters, and she says she’s complained but doesn’t know. Arjun smiles and continues to run when he notices that the grass isnt’t evenly placed down in one spot, looking like it’s been dug up recently, and Chottu digs it up. We see that Rakesh (the teacher’s) dead body is there.
Two guys come to the ETF team and tell them that the day Kapil disappeared, he got into some fight with Rakesh, who told him that if he wanted to pass the exams this year, he had to take care of his financial needs but Kapil said no. Chottu says the case is clear then, Rakesh was leaking the exam papers but got into trouble etcetc, and Arjun says there was a professional killer involved, professional gardner involved. Bansi. Who knows the school very well, and who would have noticed the uneven ground instantly but didn’t say anything. Rathore tells Chottu to get Bansi.
The other three are trying to figure out why Bansi was involved in Rakesh’s death when Arjun looks at academic records and sees that those students who failed the year before passed with high marks this year, and that it was this year that their parents donated huge amounts of money to the school. Shree pulls out the financial records of the school.
Chottu calls them saying that he can’t find Bansi, and so Rathore heads out to search for them. Arjun notices that the letters missing are now there again, and the letters missing from the board are “sh” “e” and “d” – shed. And him and Rathore head out to the shed on the school grounds. Shree comes there then as well and hands the financial records to Rathore, while Arjun sees clothes and lunch boxes and we see that Anna was the one that helped Kapil out and it was through the prayer messages that Anna and Kapil communicated to each other. And there were letters missing in today’s prayer message as well, letters that spelled out “dorm.”
We see Anna on top of the dorm, trying to tell Kapil to tell ETF the truth, but Kapil says h’s scared that he’s going to be murdered as well if he tells them everything and won’t say a thing until the parents get there. Bansi comes there right then and drags Anna and Kapil away. The ETF team notices the two kids not there but a lunch packet, and think that realize they’ve been dragged away somewhere.
Arjun then talks to the two boys and asks them who told them to tell him the false story about Rakesh leaking the papers, etc, and then angrily heads to the principal’s office telling him to reveal the entire story. Rathore and Shree come there as well, while Arjun explains that he’s been suspecting him and explaining everything.
Meanwhile, Chottu searching through the room until he finds Bansi, with the kids, and on finding Bansi starts hitting him and strangling him, and the two have a huge fight, jumping through stairs, riding on bicycles etc.
The principal tries to deny everything, but then Chotu comes there with Bansi and the principal is done for. He explains that Rakesh knew about the leaked the papers and came to the principal about this, and doesn’t agree with the principal’s wrong ways of making money and says he’s going to get him removed. Later on students mislead Rakesh and he’s killed by the gardner, and the principal. Kapil sees what happened, though and starts running away, managing to hide himself.
The principal comes and says what business doesn’t have any underhand dealing? And Arjun gets really angry saying this is education, not a business,a nd they’re simply selling degrees here. Disgusting
And the police take them away.
Precap: Mukesh says that his mom, Kalki devi has disappeared. Rathore says that they have to conduct this investigation without explicitly saying anything so people don’t panic. Arjun asks how do they do that, and Rathore replies that they have to be there as guest. And we see Arjun looking ah-mazing wearing a black suit
