Arjun 17th November 2012 Written Update

Two men are dragging a man in a field at night, and beating him. They tied his hands and feet, and three other men enter the scene, one is carrying a gallon of petrol (or inflammable liquid) and throws it on the poor man. One man lights up a match stick and throw it on the man. They burnt that poor man alive, and we could hear his screams.

Its daytime, there are policemen who have barricaded that place and lots of people on the other side of the barrier. The ETF SUV reaches the crime site, they meet the inspector. They observe the dead body, and the following things are noted by all: the dead man had both his hands and feet tied up, plus also a locket in his next. Rathore orders everyone to search the area for any clue. Arjun is looking on the ground, when he finds a white button and shows it to Rathore. Rathore guess that this button may belong to a policeman, and that the dead man may be a police officer, while Arjun adds that the killer can also be a policeman. Rathore asks the inspector Daate for any reason for this murder. And Daate replies that there are lots of possibilities in this highway, because it’s an isolated area between two towns, and that there are lots of crime here like murder, thefts… he informs Rathore that they have a check post at the start of their town, and that there is always someone on the guard there, however the crime site is quite far from it.

Rathore goes to question someone at a Dabba, but that person says he didnt see anything because he closed down his business very early. Arjun asks the inspector Daate for the records of all missing people in the area. Arjun also asks Shree to take some photos, while he continues to survey the area, that’s when he notices some tyre marks on the ground. He takes some of that soil in his fingers and smelled it.

Back in ETF office
They are all discussing about the case. Shree says that it may takes some time to identify the vehicle for those tyre marks. They have only one clue, the button, and Arjun says that this buttong will lead them at least somewhere. He asks Shree to also analyse the soil he found there.

At the police station:
Arjun and Rathore discuss about the dead man, and showed Inspector Daate the necklace which Daate was going to keep, but Arjun takes it back. Rathore asks for the missing people’s file records. While Arjun chat with the inspector and asks various questions. Rathore asks if they had any further news about the dead man, but Daate replied no. Suddenly a woman entered, and tell Daate that her husband is absent from home since 2 days, and that she has tried calling Daate two or three times, but nothing.

Inspector Daate calls another officer and asks him to take that lady away. Arjun asks who’s the lady Inspectore Daate said that she’s the wife of constable lokhande, that lokhande was a corrupted officer and they are searching for him. Arjun replied that he’ll find out about him even if he was corrupted.

At the same time, Chotu and some officers with dogs are sniffing the area and looking for any clues. And after sometime they find a motorcycle which had been covered with leaves, branches and shrubs, with the following number:MH.01.FA.9532.

Arjun goes searching for Lokhande’s house, and knocks on the door. Lokhande’s daughter opens the door, and Arjun asks if he could asks for some questions and enters the house. He looks at the house, when he sees Lokhande’s photo with his locket, which he immediately identifies as the same as the dead man. Just then Chotu’s calls him informing him that the motorcycle they got belonged to a constable Lokhande. Arjuns takes the daughter out, and informs her about her father’s death. The daughter starts to cry, and Arjun asks her to control herself, since she has to help her mother also. He then asks her if there had been any abnormal occurrings with her father lately. The daughter replies no, and that her father was well, and that two days ago he was so much in a hurry to go to work that he didnt eat nor wear his uniform.. Arjun tells her that he had heard rumours about her father accepting bribes. The daughter asks him to look well around, and if her father really was corrupted, why would they live here in such a house (the house was small, and it could be seen that they were very poor). Arjun promises to find out the truth and clear her father’s name.

Back in ETF office:
Rathore is doing a recap of the crime till now and all clues they had. Arjun stops Rathore by saying that Lokhande was not a corrupted officer. They switch on the TV, and they see that the media is throwing mud on Lokhande’s reputation. Arjun says that he will prove Lokhande’s innocence.

Shree adds that the tyre marks obtained belong to vehicle a very heavy ones, and Arjun states that they can either belong to petrol-chemicals tanks or trailers, and asks Shree if there any such place where these vehicles park by. Shree says that he has already searched and that indeed there exists such a place, Shirke’s Tanker Depot, and shows them a google image of that place on their screen. Rathore says that this image might not be updated, and that they need to go there to find out about it. Shree also adds that the soil which Arjun gave for analysis contained petrol, but the exact composition will take some more time. Then he and Rathore leaves for the depot area.

Chotu congratulates Shree on his efficiency. And shree says that it’s to prove that even they work. Suddenly Shree remembers that he had forgotten to give Rathore a letter from the Home Ministry of india. Chotu takes out the letter and read it. It states that Miss Riya Mukherjee has been awarded the bravery award for her bravery in her job. Both Shree and Chotu feel so happy and proud of Riya.

Rathore and Arjun reach the tanker’s depot, and while going to the main office, they see mud on one tanker’s tyre. Arjun goes to investigate about it, while Rathore goes inside to question Shirke. Arjun takes a flask, and collects some of the soil found on the tyre, and he also collects some of the petrol from one tanker in another flask, after smelling the liquid. Rathore meets Shirke and starts to question him. He asks him the use of his tankers. Shirke answers that they normally borrow their tankers to textiles industries for the carriage of chemical products, and asks if there is any problem. Just then Arjun comes in, and replies nothing special, however he asks Shirke for his visiting card for further questions if any in the future. They both leave from there, but Arjun tells Rathore that Shirke is lying, while Rathore agrees and is happy that due to the card, they can trace all calls of Shirke now.

Back at the ETF office:
Arjun asks Shree to analyse the two flasks, and Rathore asks him to track Shirke’s number.

Chotu gives Rathoret the letter from the Department. Rathore stands up, and informs Arjun that Riya had been given the bravey award from the department. Everyone sad, and Arjun rememebers some memories of him and Riya: the first time they met and their tackle, Riya saying that he wont get his cutting chai at this time and gives him coffee which she made, he’s carrying Riya and asks her where was her god when she was shot and Riya answers that Arjun was there to save her and it was all because of god’s wish, Riya asking his about his capability in solving cases and seeing evidences so easily and his analytical skills of clues, Riya thanking him in the Dushera episode, and finally Riya’s parting words to him saying that she understood…

Rathore breaks Arjun’s thinking about Riya, by saying that they need to keep an eye on Shirke. It’s night time, Shree informs everyone that Shirke is going somewhere in his car. From the screen they could see that Shirke stops in the middle of nowhere, talks with someone on the call and after some time goes from there

Arjun tells Rathore to go there in the morning, and that probably they’d get some clue there. When reaching there, they find that there are the same tyre marks like at the crime scene. Arjun says that they need to know why Shirke had brought tankers here. He asks Shree to install some mini-portable camera to record what happens here for at least 24hours. Shree installs two such camera at different angles to cover as much area as possible and Arjun says that these people might come again. Shree asks him how he can believe this? Arjun replies that from the tyre marks around, it can be deduced that this tanker comes here very frequently. Arjun bends down, takes the soil in his hands and smelt it.

On screen, the media is talking about this case and the ruling party minister Mr Bhosle is seen on it. And the reporter is asking him questions on the Lokhande’s affair. Mr Bhosle says that he has given the case to the ETF and that they are doing their job, and that the opposition is only trying to creat havoc by making false allegations.

Rathore says that this case has become very important, and maybe they are following the wrong person, because even if Shirke has those tankers, there’s no proof that he’s the murderer. However Arjun tells him that apart from Shirke, they dont have any other clue, and even if Shirke is not the killer, Shirke may at most guide them to the real killer. Chotu and shree enters the office, Chotu gives Rathore the post mortem report while Shree gives to Arjun the analysis reports of the soil and liquid.

From the post mortem report, it could be seen that Lokhande was burnt using a very inflammable liquid known as “naef?a”, and that the soil analysis also reveals the same chemical as also in the tanker. Rathore says that its not a simple case of bribery, but more important, while Arjun says that they’d know the real truth at night only. Everyone is still tracking Shirke’s mobile, and he again leaves at the same time, goes at the same place and stops there for the same duration and calls someone again at the same number, and finally goes from there.

In the morning the whole ETF team goes there, and Shree plays the camera. They see that Shirke’s is driving a petrol tank, and then a jeep also arrives there. They see that the tanker is transferring petrol to the jeep, and then another tanker comes there, and then they transfer the “naef?a” in the tank, and they all go away. Finally everyone understands that Shirke is stealing petrol and mixing”naef?a” to it, and then selling it. They all decide that its high time to arrest Shirke, and know everyone who are involved in this racket. Rathore orders Shree and Chotu to go to several petrol stations and gather as much information as they can on this petrol mixture.

Shree and chotu are at a petrol pump and asking how they can identify that the petrol is of good quality and nothing have been added to it. The owner explains them about a filter paper which he uses to gauge the purity of the petrol. Shree takes some filter paper, and they continue on their investigation about this bad quality petrol. They hear that it is very dangerous and easily flammable and also the gas is very toxic.

Arjun and Rathore reach the tanker’s depot, and both get down to go and arrest Shirke. However suddenly Rathore gets a call that Shirke’s life is in danger and to save him if they can. They both run towards Shirke’s office to save him, when suddenly the office explodes. They aren’t able to save Shirke. They call inspector Daate to inform him about the death of Shirke, and to reach here quickly to secure this area.
Arjun says that now they have to find out who Shirke was calling to be able to proceed with the case.

Back in ETF office;
Shree and Chotu informs Arjun and Rathore about the bad quality of petrol at two or five stations they went, and how the gas is toxic for people. Arjun then asks him about the number Shirke is used to be calling. Shree replies that till now they dont know who is using it, and Arjun then asks him to track where it is presently. Shree finds out that he’s at a certain Lotus Hospital, but however they still dont know the name of that person.
Arjun calls inspector Daate and informs him that they have found out about Shirke’s boss and that he’s in the Lotus Hospital. Arjun asks him to go and arrest him.

In the hospital
A man is seen entering, he has his mouth covered, he does in a certain room, takes out a syringe and was going to inject it on someone sleeping form, when Arjun stops him. Arjun says its high time that he removes the mask from his face, since he knew that Daate was the corrupted officer, and the one who killed Shirke and was trying to kill this man also. They force them to tell the truth, thats when the other man tells them that Lokhande had been following him since one week, and that he knew about their racketing, thats why they had to kill him, and inspector Daate was also involved. Arjun knew that the man on the bed was also present because his hand was burnt also, when he had dropped the match stick on Lokhande’s body, his hand also had burnt a bit.

Rathore asks them about the master mindbehind this racket, but they refuse to give any answer out of fear. That’s when Daate’s phone starts to ring, and Arjun grabs it from Daate and gives it to Shree to track.

In the end it seems that the Minister Bhosle is also involved, and Arjun show his true color in front of everyone and the media by making him accept his crime by forcing Daate to talk with him.
In the end Arjun returns to Lokhande’s house and tells his daughter that he has kept his promise, and he has cleared her father’s name, and also that her father will be given the Bravery Award by the department for his work.
