Archana Taide to play the parallel lead in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai
We wrote about Archana Taide’s growing interest in tarot reading just yesterday.. And now, we bring to our readers’ knowledge a new development in her acting career!!
Archana who will get engaged to Ashish Sharma on 23 October has a hectic week coming up as she signs for her next project on television post her stint in SAB TV’s I Love My India. So what’s Archana taken up?
The answer is the much-talked about show on Zee TV, Qubool Hai produced by 4 Lions Films which launches on 29 October 2012 at the 9.30 PM slot. Archana has been roped in to play the parallel lead in the show. She will essay the character of Nikkhat, who happens to be the step-sister of the male lead, Asad (Karan Singh Grover).
So what is it that prompted Archana to take up the parallel lead’s role and not opt for a lead role? We immediately asked the actress as soon as we got to know that she was part of Qubool Hai. “After my last show, I wanted to do something which is different and strong. I was even ready to take a long break from television and wait till the time I get a challenging role to portray. But God has been kind enough and I did not have a long wait. Yes, it is true that I have taken up the parallel lead’s role in Qubool Hai. Since my marriage is in Janury 2013, I wanted a show which will only require me to give 15-20 days, so that I can balance well between my personal and professional life. That’s when I was narrated the role of Nikkhat and I could not refuse it. I know Qubool Hai has a huge star cast but I am pretty sure that Nikkhat’s character will shine out.”
On her role, Archana speaks out, “It is the story of a girl who is facing racism in her own society which makes her under-confident. She is a beautiful dancer and expresses all her pain through her dance. Despite having lot many beautiful inner talents, she is being rejected because of her dusky complexion. I took up this role as there are lots of girls like Nikkhat who have a beautiful heart and are talented, but get rejected by boys on the basis of color. Every guy wants to marry a beautiful girl and inner talents are secondary. Hence I guess many will connect to Nikkhat.”
Archana has started shoot for Qubool Hai, and we hear that the initial track in the show will kick-start with Nikkhat.
