Varsha makes Ammu sit with everyone and asks her if she is happy in her new home. Ammu happily nods. Preeti and Aarti ask her again if Amit is romantic. She looks at Hemant who is watching her keenly. She replies looking at her dad….yes he always does. Everyone takes care of her. She is very happy there. Hemant doesn’t seem convinced with her answer.
He thinks there must be some pain behind your smile. I will find out soon.

Atul teases her if Amit wrote any poem for her. She nods positively and says much better then what you wrote for Kajal. She recites his poem (very funny) and Kajal blushes while everyone else smiles.

Hemant signals Preeti to come with him. She follows him to the kitchen. He asks her to share if there is something wrong between Amita and Amit Kumar. If there is something that she knows but he doesn’t. She says there is nothing to worry about.
He shares what Amit and Amita were saying a while back. She said thanks to him for pretending in front of the family that everything is perfect between them. She is pensive and asks if Ammu said so? He agrees he did but when he asked Amita then she changed the topic and said that it is the usual bickering of every newlywed. But I don’t buy her logic. I feel that something is wrong for sure.
Preeti tries to convince him saying if Ammu has said something then definitely there would be nothing to worry about. Why would she hide anything from us?
He too hopes for the same. You have been with her since childhood. Maybe she can hide something from him but they are close friends if she shares anything with you then do tell me.
She assures him that she will. He thanks her and Preeti goes back outside and looks at a smiling Amita. She thinks it’s been only 2 days that your marriage happened and you started hiding things from us already.

Hemant is in his room all worried as Amit and Ammu’s words echo in his mind. Amita thanks him for showing in front of the family that they are a perfect couple. If they would have gotten to know then they would have been heartbroken.
He says they had decided together that they will keep each other’s families happy. No need to thank.
Varsha knocks at the door. She laughs saying he was missing Ammu and now when she is here he is sitting here alone. He opens the door. She asks him why he looks worried. He says nothing he just has to make some calls. He will join them soon. She asks him to join them as Amit Kumar would be returning anytime now to take Amita. She leaves.
Hemant wonders who can tell him the truth about their relation.

Shah House:
Phone rings in Shah House and Tina picks it up. It is Hemant’s dad. After exchanging pleasantries, he asks for Amit’a massi. Tina looks around and tells him that no one is at home right now. You sound worried. Is something wrong? He tries to manage somehow but Tina doesn’t buy his explanation. He mutters he is worried about their relation.
Initially she puts on an act that he must speak to bhabhi directly. I don’t want that any small point creates a big issue amongst all. He becomes worried and asks her to tell him clearly.
Tina shares there is nothing to tell. They both are very intelligent. Who marries for their families’ sake in today’s times?
Hemant is shocked and asks if they both married to keep both the families happy.
She drops the second bomb….if Radhey Krishna wants then one day they both will start sleeping in the same room too. He is more appalled now.
Tina acts oh you dint knew? I am sorry. I thought you would know it when Amita came to convince Amit one day before the wedding. I thought you would know it. Hemant cannot believe his ears.
Tina cuts the phone saying they should leave it to God. Jai shree Krishna! She is smiling to herself.

Hemant thinks what should I believe? Amita, if it is nothing then what is all this?
He sits sadly on the bed. He has flashback of Ammu’s words a night before marriage. I don’t want to marry…I’m not a bride. Then how she had disappeared at night when lights had gone. She had replied that she wanted to breathe in fresh air so had gone outside. Then how Amita had thanked him for showing in front of the family that they are a perfect couple. If they would have gotten to know then they would have been heartbroken.
Amit’s reply that they had decided together that they will keep each other’s families happy. He cries sadly.

Preeti drags Ammu to her room. She asks her what this is. How can you pretend in front of the family? Amit loves you? He says ILU to you and writes poem to you? Amita says yes.
Preeti asks her to stop this drama. She shouldn’t lie to her. I know you both had problems before marriage but when asked about suhagraat, you said all is well. You lied to me? I know when a girl marries she becomes theirs. Am I not your good friend anymore?
Amita tearfully says here is nothing to tell. It started with a compromise but there is nothing to worry about. You all supported me but not this time. It is my fight. No one can help me this time. But who told you about all this?
Preeti says uncle. Ammu says but I told him that everything is fine between us then..?
Preeti says they are parents after all they know everything before we kids tell them.
Ammu asks for her help. We have to make him believe that all is well. I cant see him worried.

Hemant calls out Ammu from behind and both friend look worriedly at him. Ammu is crying. Hemant looks at Preeti who leaves them alone.

-Break-

Hemant says….everyone says that after a marriage a daughter isn’t a daughter anymore. I have never given a thought to what people say. I had always thought that my daughter will always remain my daughter. She wont hide anything from me ever but you proved me wrong.
Ammu says no papa there is nothing wrong. He asks then what? Both sit on the bed.
He says…when you got to know that Amit doesn’t want to marry you then you went there directly. You couldn’t share this with us? You thought we are in such a hurry to marry you off that you entered into a compromise? And you guys are living separately after marriage? You dint think you should share it with us?
Ammu is shocked and asks who said all this to you. He says Amit’s Tina kaki told me everything.
She says she told you all. He shouts back she dint want to but did when I insisted. She is taken aback and takes her hand back from his saying oh!
Hemant says that’s it beta. You wont go back to that house again. She disagrees with him but he stays firm. You will now stay with your papa. I don’t care what the society thinks about them or about their family’s respect. I wont ruin your life for this.

He takes out his phone to make a call. She tries to dissuade him but he shouts back at her the third time to leave his hand. She does so and stands back in shock.
He calls Amit and says he wants to talk to him regarding something very important. He replies that he is on his way to their home only.

Amita says papa don’t take any decision in haste. Listen to me. Hemant goes out and she sits back on the bed all sad.

Bell rings. Hemant stops Amita and sends Atul to open the door. Amit enters and smiles.

-Break-
He has brought a sugar tester for them. He gives it to dadi so that they can keep everyone’s sugar level in check. They all feel happy to see him caring for them.
Amit asks Hemant what he wanted to talk about. Before he can say anything, Ammu asks him to come with her. Dadi asks him to sit as the father daughter duo will never get over their talks.

Amita says, see papa, I told you not to take any decision in haste. Why did you think Amit brought the gift? He is very nice papa and I am slowly slowly getting to know him better. He cares for his family, their feelings. Plus, he married me for them only and now I too am a part of their home. I know I will win his heart one day. We will definitely get to know each other then everything will be fine.
Hemant says what if she is proved wrong? What about us? Me? I have always dreamt of fulfilling your dreams. I don’t want to see my daughter living a life of compromise and sadness. I wont change my decision.

Precap: Amit says papa you wanted to talk to me. Hemant says ji, I can understand that you have your own likes / dislikes but I have one request. Amita and everyone watches anxiously.
