Amit Verma turns a geek for Teri Meri Love Stories

Amit Verma is known for his chocolate boy look and cool dude roles in television. However, the actor will be breaking this image with the portrayal of a geek in Playtime Creations’ telefilm for Star Plus’ Teri Meri Love Stories.

As reported earlier, Amit Verma and Vandana Gupta will be the lead pair in the telefilm.

Amit will essay the role of Madhav a geek working in a call centre. This is not a conventional love story of two good looking people. It will be the love story of a geek guy and a girl who has her own complexes.

Says Amit Verma, “This is the story where two opposites attract. I play a very under-confident guy while the girl has her own problems. This is a role that I have never played before.”

Talking about the experience of shooting the telefilm, Amit tells us, “Well, I had recently lost about 10-12 kg. And when I got this role of a geek, I could not show my lean body as the character of the geek had to look bulky. So I was asked to wear layers of dresses and I managed to do that. The guy works in a call centre and sits before the airconditioner always, so you will see him decked up in a sweater.”

Amit goes on, “When I got to know about the character, I was apprehensive about playing an under-confident guy as I have never done such a role before. I was tense when I started my shoot, but then all fell in place.”
