After playing Takshak, Ali Hassan gets a rare chance of donning a new avatar in Star Plus’ Mahabhara
Ali Hassan happens to be one of the rare actors who will get yet another opportunity to be part of Siddharth Tewary’s magnum-opus Mahabharat on Star Plus after portraying the role of the serpent king, Takshak earlier.
Interesting, isn’t it?
Says the actor, “Yes, it is unheard of, but I will appear again in Mahabharat in a new role.”
This time around, Ali has been roped in to play the role of Jayadrath in the Swastik Productions show, who would be married to the only sister of the Kauravas. The character of Jayadrath holds a lot of prominence in the epic, for the role he played in the Kurukshetra war.
Jayadrath as per the epic will abduct Draupadi, only to be later humiliated by the Pandavas. And when the Kurukshetra war will begin, Jayadrath will fight on the side of Duryodhan’s Kauravas and will be instrumental in the slaying of Abhimanyu, who will get trapped in the chakravyuha.
Ali further states, “Well, I believe that the channel and production house liked my performance as Takshak. Since the role of Takshak needed me to be under a half mask, and emote only with my eyes, the team must have decided to bring me in another fitting role. And I am enjoying shooting with the Pandavas and Kauravas at the moment.”
Ali, enjoy your second stint in Mahabharat!!
