Aditya Redij’s “difficulties” in playing double role in Life OK’s Junoon
The era of Sita aur Gita and Ram aur Shyam seems to be getting back on Indian television with actors playing double roles. This seems to be entertaining the masses to the core. However, the actors enacting the dual avatar are not quiet liking it.
As a matter of fact, when we bumped into Aditya Redij, seen in Life OK’s Junoon – Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq (Beyond Dreams) recently, he did not seem too pleased to be playing a twin role on-screen.
“It is fun playing a double role on screen but at the end of the day, it’s me who is fighting with myself,” stated the actor.
“When I first learnt about it, I knew that workload would increase as I had to play two different characters. This obviously meant twice the pressure and putting in a lot more time at work. But then I took up the challenge and am giving it my hundred percent,” he added.
Talking about both his characters, he averred, “Both the characters are very different from each other. When you see Ishwar, one comes to understand that he is flamboyant and stylish by the way he walks and talks. Apart from that, he is a complex kind of a man from within. On the other hand, Prithvi is a very rustic character. So I have to make a shift from being flamboyant to being rustic.”
Lastly, when we asked him as to how long would he be playing a double role on-screen, he replied, “I do not have any clarity on this.”
Aditya…double hi-five to you!!!
